Reports said that at least 20 individuals lost their lives in Oman due to the heavy rainfall. Government offices and schools closed for several days in the UAE.

Cloud seeding often have unintended effects. Historically, it was observed to cause either extreme drought or floods in many parts of the world. Studies show that cloud seeding enhances the precipitation > 30% depending upon the moisture available in the atmosphere. The impact of climate change through warming the atmosphere have also some extreme effects but not to the scale of what happened in Dubai. The Dubai flood in 2024 is totally a result of cloud seeding. High moisture in the atmosphere as a result of high temperature met a perfect cloud seeding and the combination is like "sprinkling benzene on fire".
