Good to see a fair number of grouse in your area! .22 long rifle guy here although last year I dusted off the ol 20 gauge I hadn't used in years. 2 3/4 shells with 7.5 shot works good but thinking like you I'll increase shot size to 5 or 6. Complete penetration be more likely 🤠
I like 7.5 too especially for flushing grouse on overgrown trails and some longer shots. Advantages to more pellets in the air at times. Hope you'll get a chance to get some with the 22LR and 20 gauge this year. Now if I could only find the right size shot to keep these stink bugs off our pepper plants :D
It's in southern British Columbia. Unfortunately we can not be more specific than that. Word travels fast on the Internet, so if a specific area is mentioned, it quickly fills up with people and is no longer viable for hunting. The good news is, grouse exist pretty much all over BC, so if you drive around some logging roads, you are almost certain to find some pockets of grouse. Good luck out there!

I can dig it! Dropped a couple last weekend too.
Looks like you got some good salmon fishing in too! Surf and turf!
My Choice is 20 gauge n 7.5
Thank you! So far 20 gauge in 7.5 seems to be the popular choice here on our very scientific RUclips poll :)
Dang you saw lots of grouse, where is this at?
