I'm from Italy. This video explains what's the real Japanese traditional excellent food, absolutely varied and appetizing, well above the common and often boring sushi/sashimi we are used to eat here in some (fake) Japanese restaurants. We Italians often complain about bad Italian cuisine abroad but, here, we have a significant example that applies to Japanese cuisine. Congrats to these guys of Sanuki Restaurant!
There are more authentic restaurants than what this video shows. A lot of the food is machine-made though yes they are very diligent about their service. Hand-made and cut udon is more chewy and springy I believe. They put the Udon dough in a plastic bag and then step on it. The gluten forms a ton and makes it super springy and smooth. Hand-made also has a personal touch many people like.
I've always been a well traveled eater, or so I thought until I discovered real Asian cuisines. Like, seriously, wtf are we doing in the West. All this fresh made, fresh ingredients splendor and it costs less than even the cheapest fastfood here.
Loved how he did the prawn tempura! And ALL the dishes looked so wonderful I would have a hard time choosing what to eat! Except I wouldn't be able to eat the curry as I'm allergic to curry, darn it! Thanks for the English translations, GREATLY appreciated.
@@jessicamalinjohansson5656 Turmeric for one, tamarind, mustard, and onion. As there are so many different spices used to make so many variations of curry, I never try curry anymore. Most restaurants buy the curry, not knowing if one or all the spices I have trouble with is in theirs. Unless it's homemade, but even then it's a risk for me. I love, unfortunately all the foods and spices I have trouble with. Why couldn't I be allergic and/or have high intolerance to the foods I don't like. Life isn't fair.

What a wonderful restaurant! Everything prepared fresh with a huge selection of dishes at good prices. I especially liked the tempura preparation & the curry udonn!
I am left very impressed and super hungry after watching this. So many different dishes and all looked delicious! So organized they never once looked rushed for how busy they were. I wish you and your team much success. 👍
One thing that always amazes me about these Japanese restaurant videos is seeing the specialized machines they have for various tasks. They even have one for pressing and folding the noodle dough built into an oven?! That is seriously amazing. Japanese engineering is something.
These two men in the kitchen are totally amazing human beings. So disciplined in particular the young owner. The level of dedication by the whole team, to professional service is at a top notch level. Awesome!
Tempura chefs everywhere need to learn this method of making prawn tempura. It's amazing yet makes so much sense. I've only seen other chefs sprinkling the batter onto the prawns after putting them in the deep fryer but this method is so efficient. Everything they do is efficient. I love how meticulous they are in the prep work and cooking. Weighed and timed to perfection. 😋
Craving some curry udon myself. The nearest japanese restaurant near me doesnt serve curry udon so sometimes I just order karaage with curry sauce and plain udon on the side. lol
this food looks incredible. when you eat basic japanese food in america you get the sense that the guys cooking the food in the kitchen have never actually tried real japanese food made in japan. it's missing basic technique
Wow all the dishes appeared sumptuous. Highlight for me was the curry udon with Katsu patty. Hats off to the father and son duo for managing the kitchen so efficiently, goes to show how passionate they are. Just loved it. Greetings from India ;)

簡素化できる作業は簡素化しているが仕事自体は丁寧でキッチンも綺麗。料理は全て美味しそうだし従業員のやり取りとかを聞いているとぜひ行ってみたいと思えるお店だ。
なんていう店や、なんていう親子や、仕込みの段階からうまい店だとわかる、こういうお店が尼崎の大阪の日本の宝だと思う。
