Not just goosebumps, but tears! I'm going through chemotherapy treatments and trying to take care of my 65 year old special needs brother. He's severely physically and mentally handicapped and inaudible. But, he stayed with our other brother for 7 days, (longest time ever) while I got some extra rest. He came home and his foot was swollen 3 times the size of his other, he was in obvious pain. I have been praying over him all week long, not just me, but others too, his foot is finally looking better, still more praying and if anyone else wants to pray for him, his name is Joel. So, this was particularly moving to me. I needed to hear this today. Thank you.

A special backstory on Kevin the beatboxer..i have GAD and panic disorder, just like you. I relate to you on so many levels! My psychiatrist, the good Dr. Oluwole Olusola, is Kevin's father. When i would go to therapy, Dr " Wally" ( as we called him, he told all his patients to do so, he didn't mind, his name was hard to pronounce lol🙏🙏) he would say " have you heard my son Kevin and his new group? They are called Pentatonix. I think they will be soothing for your anxiety and panic attacks". And yes, IT WORKED!💝💝💝 I'm from Owensboro, Ky, Kevin's home town. The Good Dr. has since relocated to California, and we all miss him. Thought you'd like to hear about Kevin's loving, supportive father, and how he helps people with their panic attacks and anxiety. This is Grammy worthy. Simply unbelievable.
We see 10 years of practice, performance, and individual improvement come together into this masterpiece.
They began as an excellent group on the Sing-Off. Ben Folds asked "what can they do better?" ... their catalog of work answers that question over and over again.
PTX is in a league of it's own. There is NO competition.
This is one of their best arrangements and vocals in a while. Not to say everything else they do isn’t amazing, but wow if this doesn’t get nominated for a Grammy.
These are so tight and great because they are family.. they don't try to outshine one another.. they want everyone else in Pentatonix to give their best.. and they make each other bounce...

Mitch with his runs, reverbs, timing, hitting each note precisely and singing the lyrics with such conviction. Scott's operatic performance. Kirsttie hitting those notes. Matts' consistent bass. Kevin's timing on the percussion. Pentatonix have excelled again.

Remember when Sara Bareilles told Pentatonix after Dog Days Are Over they had a chance to grow and become so much more? This is what she was talking about. It is now 10 years later. They are now in their late 20s/early 30s and their voices are now fully mature and have a decade of experience. This is a different PTX than I think we've heard before. With even more complex vocals and harmonies with more depth of sound. I'm even more excited to see the next steps.

There is one very good reason why the chords in this turn you into one giant goosebump; Every one of these five knows how to tune a note to a 64th of a tone. The difference in pitch is almost impossible to hear on its own, but you are hearing the result. Having been in Barbershop Chorus and quartets, as well as 40 plus years of singing blues, you learn how to make that happen.
PTX deserves a Grammy for this one. The choice for me is always Pentatonix.
I agree, this is simply out of this world. By far the best, and most intricate, of all their music. They took a song I did not care for, by a singer I dislike, and turned into a tear jerker that moves the listener in unbelievable ways.
The most beautiful song I have ever heard Scott! Mitch! Kirsten! Matt, Kevin! I hope they receive some kind of award for this! If they don't there is something wrong with the music awards.
I love the fact that there is no need to ever choose between PTX and Home Free. Completely different styles that can be enjoyed by all.

I agree with you. This song and Home Free's Brothers In Arms are their best achievements to date. However I must add in that Voiceplay reached that stage too with their Hoist The Color cover. All three groups are absolutely ascending with their covers recently and I'm LIVING for it. 🥰🥰🥰

That's the wonderful thing, we can listen to and love each of these groups without having to choose between them! They all have different sounds but are equally talented! And Home Free, PTX, and Voice Play all realize that there's room for everyone. And YES a capella groups are just killing it lately! Some of the best music I've heard bar none! Your recent dive down the rabbit hole of Aussie Music Royalty has been an incredible ride. I strongly recommend you listen to Anthony Callea singing The Prayer. He was the runner up in season two of Australian Idol. (The year after Guy Sebastian won)

I agree with u. Their blended harmonies on this track are simply sublime. Goosebumps on goosebumps on GOOSEBUMPS!!!! I know they are not a gospel group per se, but the only term that comes to mind is "annointed". Their voices have the ability to raise me up onto a spiritual plane.
