It’s insane to me billion dollar budget games that take years to make thousands of man hours cost $60 and $100 for the big bundles yet they constantly have $100 packs on these mobile games for a couple of items. I mean it’s absolutely pretty wild that this is the state of gaming today. Speechless.
Yeah. Exactly. It’s stupid. Not supporting these game when it’s so unreasonable.
The real issue is the consumers who would buy the packs.
We have solid proof in history that even the worst companies will quickly stop selling anything unprofitable even if it has a small dedicated following and is objectively a good product.
On the other hand, if it's always extremely profitable the companies will find some way to toe the line and cater to the demand somehow even if there are laws against it.
So where is the demand coming from and how can we stop the demand? How can we create a healthier demand?
Well mobile games aren't actually games lol.
Take any F2P competitive pc/console game that is player vs player... If there's any sort of P2W aspect in that game, that fanbase riots. Take a first person shooter, like Apex legends, for example. If they introduced a paid skin that would give 10% damage reduction, that game would go up in flames.
But in mobile, no matter how p2w it is, no one really cares; the gaming community doesn't include mobiles lol.
@@berserkmonk5331 And yet there doesn't seem to be as much outcry about boosting as there should be given how widespread it seems every time it is exposed. Almost like even in pure competitive games people will quietly RMT- i.e. pay real money for advantages- as much as they can get away with.
