- I know Safari and Firefox can be frustrating for web developers, but I certainly don’t want to live in a world build on and for Google Chrome. So here we are. Did you know you can debug Safari on iOS from your Mac? (And yes, I realize how frustrating it is that debugging is only available for Mac users, though there are third-party online options like crossbrowsertesting.com/ or software to mirror macOS’s features with something like inspect.dev/).

Hi, Chris. I'm here from your dark/light mode on netninja. Just wanted to say thanks. It was so well done.
I know it can be difficult when you're starting on YT but keep going. You're such a great teacher and your people will find you in due time.
Subbed.
Thanks for the kind words, @Ada O! Glad you found use in the video series. I've just tried to stay focused on enjoying learning and that's made everything a lot of fun-whoever is watching :)
Thank you so much. I was having an API issue on mobile. With this - I could find out that the submit event was faster than the resource submission itself. This tutorial was really helpful.
Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to say something!
Thank you!
Awesome content. Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
great tip 👏
Glad you enjoyed it :)
great tip thank you so much 😙😅
You're so welcome!
1:24 - My iPhone does not show in the Develop menu.
I can only open the inspector window, but the simulator of the phone screen is not shown. How can I show that? Thanks!
Wow - I had no idea this was possible. THX
Sure thing! Yeah, it’s really nice when mobile Safari is being weird :)
@@CodinginPublic which is 90% of the time!
Ha you’re not wrong… 😏
I had no idea this was possible and it just saved me from a weird Bug that I had no clue how it was happening.
Yeah! It’s a useful little trick when you need it!
How do I see the mobile version on safari inspect? Edit: I found it. It's the enter responsive design mode in the develop menu.
Hi, any ideas or hints on how iOS Safari could be inspected with a PC? Thanks.
I don’t know, sorry! Don’t have a PC to test…😕
how can I use my phone on my mac??
Awesome tip. If only they would let you do this on Windows...
Seriously … 😟
only for ip and safari mac? Can it be for ip and chrome window?
I think it’s just for safari but since chrome has to use WebKit on iOS (I think), I’m pretty sure it’ll be the same?
Hello can we inspect element in IOS APP ?
I'm guessing Xcode but I'm not sure :)
Why is Safari so cumbersome? Why can't I just simply open dev tools on my phone instead?
Not sure. Can you do that on Android? That would be cool! FWIW, a lot of dev servers will spin up a local version you can access on your phone.
@@CodinginPublic I’m not sure as I have been using an iPhone for a while now, however, I will check this for sure.
Even if it weren’t the case it’s about time features like these should be made available. I want to be able to quickly check JSON stored variables of a router set-up in my network, now I’m not able to do that without connecting my phone to a desktop again… 🤷♂️
This is for Mac pc 🤦🏻♂️
Yeah for Mac. Sorry :)
This guy is scrolling down to "User Agent Styles" to search for an explizit setting. Who are you trying to fool m8?
ha-it's been a while since this video, so I don't remember what I did, but I hope you still found it helpful :)
