    I wish these grew in 9a Texas. I think we have a few varieties that can grow here. I guess i would need to find the varieties and graft them myself. That's really cool that they are on a dwarf rootstock too!! Im taking notes. Love your channel.❤

    Do you have to put the smaller pot into the larger pot?

    • @CaliforniaGardening
      @CaliforniaGardening  10 месяцев назад

      You don't have to. I did that as I was going to repot it into the bigger pot anyways. You can plant directly in your final pot

  • @thehazelnutspread
    @thehazelnutspread 10 месяцев назад +1

    Why would it be better to keep moving the tree into a bigger pot every year instead of just putting it into its permanent pot? I would think that disturbing it every year would damage it.

    • @CaliforniaGardening
      @CaliforniaGardening  10 месяцев назад

      In general yes its better to repot, prune the roots and repot for the first few years, then set it in its permanent spot. However, as I mentioned, its optional, you can plant it directly in its destination. Just that the roots grow fast and circle the outside area of the pot leaving them will less space to grow.
