    Jason is a good guy, he does a great job for Multitek. They are located 60 miles from me. I like what they are doing with the multiple sized tumblers to sort out slash, fireplace wood, and boiler wood. I will be looking it that option more. Great video Chris!

    FYI there is lots of Fire wood here in Florida. Milton made this place look like a war zone. I have seen trees pulled out of the ground. I was with out power for 4 days and net for 5. That is why I missed so many comments lmao.

    Chris, this was an excellent video. You are doing the customer & the manufacturer a great service when you put out a video showing manufacturing from start to finish. A company next town over has a multi tech processor & they put out a lot of firewood. Thank you for showing what goes into making multi tech wood processors. Dave D from Maine.👍

    The bottom line rule of thumb for firewood producers that use processors is for every hour of use per week the using/conversion to electric for power a compamy will see direct expense savings of $2000.00 per year per hour of weekly processor use vs diesel powered processor. This for any who are in firewood production dictates a conversion to electric the minimum ROI would be a no brainer even if costs to get electric installed reach $250K. And this does not look at ancillary cost savings for regular oil changes and service, storing and purchasing fuel, life expectancy, cost to rebuild diesel vs electric, and the savings for warm up times. The math is even more compelling for electric powered splitters vs diesel. A largely overlooked secondary advantage is a quiet workplace free of exhaust fumes. For those that do not have 3ph electric available by using Scott-T aka Polyphase transformers you can produce you own no inverter 3ph power at any desired fixed voltgage without breaking the bank. If I owned Multi-tec I would have an electric hydraulic stand alone power units to allow any to convert all brands of existing gas/diesel splitters and processors to electric as a seperate product line. The only issue with all electric is seen now after the hurricane. You're shut down for days or weeks. With diesel you are free of any reason the grid is down. And some older diesel engines would run on a lot of alternatives to store brought diesel if you know what you're doing.

    • @raystormont
      @raystormont 3 дня назад +1

      @@gp4103 Savings are savings and they accumulate for the 99.99% of the time life is not disrupted by a 100 year storm. Further if area is shut down not much sense in sawing what cannot be sold or delivered. Better in my opinion to use diesel to overfill woodyard stock while logs are free and plentiful especially specimen timber that in normal times would never be available as they will in time again be extremely valuable. Further most people will hold diesel and gas until fuel supplies are regularly available. My heart goes out to all who are suffering and hope some form of nornalcy soon returns. You are certainy correct in that older diesels pre-dating electroinc controls and DEF will run well on a wide variety of alt. fuels.

      Maybe so. But where 95% of the firewood processors are ...hurricanes never happen.

    Multitek are good machines, but watch a factory tour with Andrew Easton. No vague answers and much more invested in his products.
