The Most Broken Cheese In Poly Bridge 3

- Poly Bridge 3 Part 20 - this is basically the opposite of the previous episode. In my defense, at least I beat the level normally under half budget before cheesing. I just wanted to do it once to get it out of my system, before it gets patched.

Falling roads were probably a worse cheese, but at least it was fun to watch the car go _fling_
Time traveler
How dare you break the space time continuum
This got uploaded less than a minute ago, how as this 5 hours ago
thankfully it seems like the devs are working on a fix for ladder bridges, but it probably wont be here for some time since theyre making sure they do it right
bro i though i was blind and read the one day as one minute
Tyler's going to break when he realizes that cables are made of steel
the price of the steel cables is going to be nothing compared to his therapy bill
My thought exactly.
they’re made of _what?_
The cars are also made of steel.
@@connnnnnn That explains why they're so expensive
Man, I sure didn’t know making those ladders at a carnival that’s mostly rigged would save a lot of money as bridges.
But of course they would! Their sole purpose is to make money by taking advantage of an exploitable system!
The carnival ladders are rigged because they join back into one rope at the ends, so they're prone to rotate unless your weight distribution is perfect...which is probably not gonna happen if you're moving.
This is a proper rope ladder bridge.
@@natchu96 iirc it is possible to properly climb a carnival ladder
but you have to treat it like a single rope, and straight up ignore the ladder rungs
ironically enough, the cheese bridge is probably the closest kind of cheese bridge to actually working in real life, its essentially the same thing as those cheap rope suspension bridges with the horizontal wooden planks.
The before and after transition actually had me stunlocked. I love how all the polybridge videos have been edited recently.
The patreon budget is being spent well!
Yeah man, crowdfunding is crazy
I was looking for a comment exactly like this about the before and after
The before and after transition was a very efficient way to show all the changes!
Hey Tyler, I don't know if you've seen it yet, but the devs of Peglin named an item after you- Alien's Rock
2:13 love the editing here I can really feel that the production value is only going up! Great work guys
I was blown away when I saw that edit.
Yup, on the spot, 100% agree
The ultimate banana bridge, after years of evolution it has became the most anti steel thing known to man
That before and after transition was so good
"So what experience do you have in bridge design?"
"Jungle gyms"
I deeply enjoy the terminology Tyler uses, like dangler and cheese.
Well everyone uses cheese, thats just the word for it
Well everyone uses cheese, thats the word for it
dangly cheese mmm
Cheese is a very old term that originated in fighting games, where you could make inescapable combos by spamming the same set of moves over and over. Those, for some reason, were called cheese. And that term stuck, now meaning any cheap and unintended solution that breaks the concept of the game, but isn't quite a bug.
@@evsiclesnobody here but you got it
my fellow wisconsinites are honored to have heard that you were born here
“Sit there and think about what you’ve done” My brother in engineering, you made the bridge.
You’re from Wisconsin? Finally aliensrock lore.
I love how Tyler is berating the cheese while using the heck out of it.
I only managed just over 60K. I arched it up with a double layer of wood arches under it. I had to use 2 steel and about 4 roadways on each side on the bottom layer to keep it from breaking. When I used cables it actually cost more. I could likely replace the steel with wood muscles and save a tiny bit, but that is it.
That before and after transition was clean.
2:11 let me just say: Editor, we appreciate this, very nice
The before and after editing is sooo nice, giant props to the editors for never missing
I’d love to see an engineering play through where the stress has to be less than 25%
I was today years old when I learned Tyler was from Wisconsin 😂
The lore grows deeper.
1:38 one thing I’ve found with this game is that if I have a break steel never fixed it… it just breaks somewhere else afterwards. If I ever have a break it’s because there’s something fundamentally wrong with the bridge itself. I only have polybridge two because that’s all that’s in mobile but with that one I can tell that steel isn’t a good recourse.
Tyler went from: everyone cheesed this level except for me
To: the most broken cheese ever
The before to after edit with the yellow line was really cool. Awesome job
That was one super slick before and after transition. Loved it. Great job, editor!
That before and after edit was actually insane
not even one second into the video and i already burst out laughing! Bro your editors' sense of humour is amazing!
~2:15 in and I love the 'before and after' edit!
I love the before and after of the bridge!!!! Do more often please!!!!
That 2:12 before/after Slide was really interesting. Would like to see that more often :)
The before - after shot is really good! Please make this a thing if it isn't already
When you stay up so late you get a video from Tyler.
finally tried the new peglin update for myself today and I got to say the slime orbs and relics are definitely my favorite additions over ballwark or spinfection
The devs have confirmed they are working on fixing that cheese and others. but they want to wait until a lot of other things have been fixed so they can do 1 big patch and only screw over peoples existing solutions one time. Im now very excited for the next world. we are out of the handholding and into the puzzles now
The edits keep getting better, nice job editors 👍
That before after transition is PEAK!
that screen wipe showing before and after was pretty nice to see
The reason cables become springs if connected together is they are normally prestretched so elastic force counteract load and keep it in place. When they connected to each other game probably prestretch only one of them (or maybe even neither)
I think it would be super awesome if you would show a short clip of the cheapest bridge per bridge you do. Even with cheese it’s super fun to see.
I love when Alienrock uploads a vid at 5 am my time
Tyler has finally joined the dark side
That was a cool before/after wipe edit
Thanks for making this content Tyler, really good.
Bridge game, bridge game. Love this series.
Steel is the bane of Tyler's existence.
Where steel stands, a Tyler breaks
So true 😔
I wonder if you could build something like a reverse trapdoor/lever that blocks the bike, but is opened when the scooter passes it for the drag race.
First bridge: It pains me to see Tyler not using the other static joints, other than at the very end and that was because of the cheese. I also notice a recurring theme of spring tension bridges. Watching Tyler move around the joint doing nothing was hilarious.
The extra node=springs cheese patch will be nice to see once it hits. Luckily it looks like the leaderboards have matured enough for some competition and comparison, maybe not 1% all bridges but should get there eventually.
Wonder if the "road-hopping" cheese could be incorporated into an actual level design through something like a new vehicle that requires the wheels to always be on the ground.
In a tension bridge you want to connect anchor to anchor; using additional anchors makes the bridge worse.
When you said drag race my first thought was to tie a road to the bike to slow it down, literal "drag" race
5:36 Steelshaver Manifesto
this editing is so good
Was laughing my butt off at the steam roller rolling over
That before, after edit was kinda clean I'm ngl.
HOLY SHIT!! THAT BEFORE/AFTER CLIP WAS SICK! That's and easy +1 like from me.
Love the edit!
theres no way I could resist clicking on a title like this
I still think it's better than that weird dangling road with woods in between
The before vs after comparison is neat.
Last level is pretty much what setting up a mob trap in minecraft feels like
That's actually so disgustingly strong. I knew these were strong but that's ABSURD.
Its 1 am here and now i have 12 mins extra without sleep
I first subscribed because you reminded me of a really nice guy from highschool I'd game with. Now I hear you're also from Wisconsin...... lol
Well now, after midnight, I can FINALLY GO TO SLEP
You being from Wi is dope ngl
Damn I've had my suspicions that Tyler was from Wisconsin but I think this is the first time he confirmed it
Thanks for the awesome content!
3:14 Well... dangling roads are a thing in real life... they are very rare, but they do exist.
Hey you should definitely check out a game called Pause To Play, it's a puzzle game where the pause menu is a mechanic and you have to use the pause text as a platform to clear gaps for example. seems really fun and could be completed in a couple videos at most
I can't believe Tyler didn't get rid of all the steel 😠
great video!
Nobody:
Aliensrock: 🍌=🧀
Loved the swipe
Love the daily uploads
I do hope to see the new outro soon enough.
Long live normal strategies, not to say I don't love the silly cheese though from time to time
You patch one cheese, and another takes its place. It must be tough to squash them all without hindering the physics calculations too much. Any change in the physics will have unfortunate collateral.
no way he put an industrial society and its future reference haha
I FINALLY CAUGHT NA UPLAOD IN THE FIRST MINUTE
Just wait until he realizes falling roads are back 😂
I'm so happy that they are patching these rope bridges
Me when someone figures out the exact configuration of 17 steels that teleports the car to the end
In poly bridge 2, you could do it with a couple roads and a spring
YOU"RE FROM WISCONSIN???? ME TOOO!!!!!!
“I hate the cheese heads.”
This is a post by every single Vikings fan
Day 1011 of telling Tyler that he never finished his minecraft series and that he should finish it.
Work has been packed since I got here
Day 971 of agreeing
Got a summer job recently and exactly the opposite
Yes more poly shenanegans.
Since you play with half money, do you prefer levels where your budget is big (like the 128k one) or ones where its small with 30k or less
Definitely big, there's a lot more parts I can shave
when I saw him do that with the downward steels on the first bridge I was like oh wow how do you make that just attach like that, turns out the answer was you just dont!
Turn on Edge Bisect. However he copied just the steels and not the cable over to the right, that doesn't work lol
Somebody tell him that cable is made of steel
i wonder what those cables are made from
Dangler are the definition of chesse.
All great players fall to the cheese.
Just remember cable is made of steel wires
Slick edits
Tension Banana Bridge!
Wait, your from wisconsin too?
@Aliensrock Hmmmmm I think a way this could be fixed is to make smaller road pieces artificially weaker so the have less tensile strength and hopefully that wouldn’t mess with the other physics
The way this could be fixed is just giving joints mass :P but that causes other issues which is probably why it was changed in the first place
P.S. it's the cable/rope/wood that takes the load, any tensile material
Dangling roads and their consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the leaderboard position of those who take advantage of the cheese, but they have destabilized society, have made the game unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering, and have inflicted severe damage on the poly bridge competitive scene.
Wisconsin moment (i dont live anywhere close to Wisconsin)
Hell yeah wisconsin forever
Don't Wasting time bro u should use banana bridge with cable it will be cheap and strong enough
