I miss the forums crunchyroll had. It was always a good way of finding good shows that weren't on my radar or getting news about what new anime were coming up. And allot better then anime review sites.
I can confirm that Crunchyroll is region locked, as when I decided to change my VPN to a Japanese IP, the already bleeding out list of anime disappeared, and was replaced with two non-anime documentary-like videos.
Aniplex is behind Crunchyroll, so Aniplex content should be on crunchyroll. Toho have good relationship with Sony, so we can watch Toho content on crunchyroll. Before Sony purchased crunchyroll, crunchyroll was under AT&T and Warner brothers, so Sentai Filmworks, Hulu and HBO are sharing content.
