I was excited to see this video because I wear shorter bangs with longer layered hair and many times after the layers are cut, the length has to be brought up more than I was hoping for to look correct with the shorter layers. I would love to see another video where the perimeter of the sides is protected so the length can be kept in back... But still somehow also having short bangs and shorter face framing layers. I've had so much trouble with this :(
Thanks for doing this video! Former stylist here. 😊 I enjoy on-going education, and your style of teaching resonates with me to where I can understand. So thank you so much! Also, where can I purchase your shears? ❤
Thank you so much and I'm so glad I'm able to help! The shears are linked in the description! My promo code SS also gets you 2 pairs of thinning shears as well as a razor with your purchase! My specific ones are swivel and I believe at 6.25in.
Hi Summer! I have very fine, virgin, strawberry blonde, low porosity hair that is super dense and wavy. I am getting a shag cut based on your video. I am also biting the bullet to start trying to wear it natural and have tried some things for that already. Any product or method recommendations? Even though it is quite healthy, it always looks frizzy and dry.
Exciting! It will take some trial and error with products. I just picked up Ouais Anti Frizz Creme, it has a very nice consistency and decent reviews. Can be used to blow dry or air dry the hair as well.
I love your hair! I was thinking about getting my hair cut like yours, but I was worried that A line bobs were not in style. Yours is a slight A-line, correct?
@ I saw a video by “Diamond Mansion Wigs”, where she turned the wig inside out to thin it out. What do you think of this method? I trust your expertise!
Bangs can work on a square face but they need a lot of softening if you want to avoid too "harsh" of a look. They can definitely be done, just avoid a very straight heavy blunt bang.
Best teacher ever! Thank you summer !
It's lowkey giving Sabrina Carpenter and I loveeeeeeee thisssss 🤩🤩🤩
She just needed thicker hair!
Great job! Love the layers. I agree with you that the length could be a bit shorter to look more cohesive. It’s still pretty either way 😊
The length was killing me lol

I love the technique you used. I would take the length up just to where you suggested.
Thanks for sharing!
Can you please do a video on how to layer wavy / slightly curly hair. I study from your videos and would love to learn more.

I would prefer the length at the bottom to be a bit shorter. I love how versatile this style is. Great tutorial as always 😁.
I love all the layers, but to leave that length was killing me!

Love this style Summer! Wish you could cut my hair!!
Thank you!

Yes it's a little longer in the front. The extreme angle is not so popular right now but I love a minimal angle.
@StylesBySummer ok. Thank you!
Love your tutorials Summer 👏 I have to wear wigs… how to debulk the wigs to make them lower density ❓
You can use texture shears, just do very small amounts at a time. Once the hair is gone, it's gone!
@ I’m gonna ruin my wigs😩 Do you have video on how to do this❓I appreciate your help Summer!

Love the cut! But, yes the length looks a little sparse. I'd bring them up a bit. ❤
I agree, inside I was dying to leave it!
Hi Summer! What haircut would you recommend a fifty years old woman with wavy hair? 😊
Definitley think the length should come up a little.
What about bangs for a square face (53 yo F), wavy hair.
Bangs can work on a square face but they need a lot of softening if you want to avoid too "harsh" of a look. They can definitely be done, just avoid a very straight heavy blunt bang.

I say shorten the back up some. Too straggly… love your videos … wish you lived closer
I'm happy to hear most agree the length needs to be brought up!
