The USB plug route produces more bass sound while the XLR route is light on bass and higher on clarity. Overall , sounds much better than the Rode and Samsung

That's a really nice mic. It sounds good and it's a steal at that price. One of the things I like is the volume control of not only the mic, but headphones plugged in as well. Nice

I like the clarity of the Q9U but the bass and proximity effect of the Fduce sounds pretty damn good. Especially for the price, I'm going to pick it up myself.

@@DigitalSlang Would you know if the XLR input requires phantom power (48v) ?? The sorry little manual has no reference or specifications.
@@Nobody-ld7mk im 10 months late to answer that but I believe only condenser microphones need phantom power. Since this is a dynamic microphone it shouldnt need it, but I could also be wrong🤷♂️

Story of my life.
I'm a day 3 owner of the mic. I do VOs. I found it incredibly dark in tone. However, with a little post processing and what have ya, I'm more than happy. Although I did find the mic's monitor to be way too quiet. Over all, I'm pleased with such an inexpensive purchase. My goal is to get the scarlet USB interface, and I think it's XLR mode is more ideal tone wise.

I got this mic and so far love it! (I got the VeGue model). One question, though, the pop filter which comes with it doesn't do a very good job, has anyone modified it or changed it to something else? If so, was it any better?
Yes actually I use it with a Shure sm7b pop filter. Much better

I like the sound from the FDuce. It has more “room” if that makes sense
45 euros on AliExpress and personally sounds better than the other two you showed, the bassy sound is so nice, you can always EQ to your preference at least, good deal.

i have this mic usb mode is very low volume.. you need to speak very veryyy close! tis like touchhing with the lips... windows mic volume is set to 100. Mic volume set to 100 but not helping...i need more gain...
Hello, I watched your review, have a quick question please, I got the Fduce SL40, but I am not sure if the unit I got is detected or not? When i use the USB to record on my phone, all functions works great, mute button works, mic reduces background noise, and sound is completely fine. Once I use the usb to connect to my laptop, mute button is not working, mic collect all background noise and sound is loud, it's a bit better if I reduce volume to the minimum but still collecting background and mute not working. Any advice? Thanks in advance.
Can you use the usb and XLR simultaneously? Suppose I went live from iPhone but wanted to record into a multitrack for a good edit later etc??

I think about MV7 and this FDuce. Fduce is warmer. MV7 has better software and I like that there is "far" setting, but it is 2x price. Hmm...

Nice mic for sure but I must say that there is another bigger player in town and it has even more controls with an amazingly rich tone plus it is an XLR/USB and for less than $160. Its at the upper end of a budget mic but it truly is amazing in what it offers and delivers in sound. Its as close as I have found to my RE20 that offers me the USB portability. Its the Maono PD400X. I was shocked by it. I do think the gap between USB and XLR mics is narrowing fast. Its a win/win for all of us.
I've tested a few mics from them but not that one. They do have some good quality mics for cheap

The headphone volume control doesn't work on my sl40, Creators Village also had the same problem in his video. Do you have the same problem or is mine just a defect?
