Puck Fair Killorglin 1971

Great footage of Killorglin town(on the year I was born) and Puck Fair in 1971. Thanks to Myles Coffey for passing it to me as my father Bobby makes an appearance mid way through. Originally filmed by Patrick Joy who passed it on. There is no sound in the original footage so I've added best versions of An Puc Ar Buile by John Spillane and Liam Devally. My mother Kitty Knew most of the faces but apart from Chubb O'Connor please add any info.

My Mom came from Killorglin and my husband and I went back to visit in 1985, it was wonderful...

Duffy O'Shea and Brianín (he used to come to town with a van); look at all the fine trees on the Crows Road (where the pipe band is playing; PJ Foley at 2:34. The O'Connor family (Honor West's husband and children) at 3:54. Mr. Champ and staff at 7:05.
