It would be nice if u guys showed how to operate the control panel..the whole reason i clicked on the vid was to have this vid show me instead of “consulting my owners manual”
Hi Ian, thanks for your question! There is no need to wait to add salt after balancing your water. But it is best to add salt incrementally (about every 5 minutes) to avoid adding too much.
Yes it would be ok to add salt (1/2 recommended amount at first) and then adjust the PH and Alkalinity. We do recommend using the vanishing act to reduce Calcium if needed, prior to adding salt.
Should the hot tub be heated up then the salt and chlorine added and balanced etc or should this be done as soon as the water is filled then allow the hot tub to heat up?
Hi Joan, thanks for your question! Can you confirm your Hot Spring is equipped with the salt system? If so, salt control is not being recognized and we recommend scheduling a service tech to come look at your salt system. Additionally if you have a Hot Spring Limelight Series spa, you likely have a different controller than the Highlife controller in the video. It's possible the water drop icon is in a different location depending on your version of OS.

Is it ok to add salt then balance the water as previously I balanced the water then added salt and this changed the readings?

The spa water should be warm (Approx 90 deg. min.) prior to adding salt.
@@TheSpaSaunaCompany thank you!
I don't have a water drop icon on the bottom of my screen between the jet and light icons. How do I access the salt system control?
