    Seeing Drake do that two minute drill and bring the ball up the field and do a really good job and he’s only 21. That right there impressed me a lot. I know he’s not going up against the starting defense but he is going up against good football players.kid did really good

    To play Devil’s advocate with the Oline coach, even with the dynasty years, Scarnecchia, maybe the greatest Oline coach ever, would take a while to get the right Oline combo. The first few games were scary sometimes. Look at 2014 for instance. But then he found the right combo to be successful.
    Let’s see if Peters can find the right combo eventually, it may take a while, but maybe by mid season, they’ll find a DECENT line combo.

    This team needs a backup C possibly more than OT. Andrews is close to end, and incurs injuries often. They need to make trades by deadline in Oct for OT.

  • @daneaton8567
    @daneaton8567 17 дней назад +2

    I don’t understand how there aren’t any better OTs available via trade/waivers/or free agency. Everyone loves to say “there’s nothing out there!!!!” But seriously how can this get any worse?

      Alot of teams struggle at this position. It's such a premium position because of the talent of edge rushers. Its rare to find big men that athletic and savvy to consistently compete 😊

    • @Mattaga
      @Mattaga 17 дней назад +1

      No team let’s any tackles worth anything to go to free agency. Left tackle specifically is the next rarest position for a great player after the QB. The only players in free agency are hurt guys who were never great and old players who are showing their age with a noticeable drop off. If teams are letting tackles go to free agency, they’re not even good enough to be second stringers.

      Guys they got steamrolled by Washington’s backups, what we saw last night was not NFL line play. I’m aware at this stage it’s hard but can we find a guy or 2 who can actually play in this league? I’ll settle for a guy who has actually played LT in the NFL before

    • @spa2damax
      @spa2damax 17 дней назад

      It's not hard to understand. There aren't enough tackles for 32 teams as it is. Less and less kids are playing tackle growing up. Strictly limited practice time hinders development.

    • @daneaton8567
      @daneaton8567 17 дней назад

      @@spa2damax ahhhhh okay so every other team in the league can have a somewhat functional offensive line except the Patriots.. got it. Let’s give up then, let’s tank and be okay with the 45mil available cap space, sounds great

    Holy crap, there is no way possible this team can go into the season with this OL. No matter who is playing QB, they will get killed. Look, I love Andrews but he isn't going to help with the edge rushers. Trade a pick for some help.

    • @youtubeconnollyfamily
      @youtubeconnollyfamily 17 дней назад +7

      It is so bad. I knew it was bad, but I didn’t know it was that bad. Then again, David Andrews was not playing so keep that in mind. He’s one of the best centers in the league if not the best.

      We are so fucked lmao. Should’ve drafted more linemen I know the receivers were lacking but come on maaaaan can’t throw to a receiver if the quarterback is getting leveled in 2 seconds

      @@SeeJayMr your crazy dude. We will be making a deep run in the playoffs. Three years from now when Drake is only 24 and not even in his prime yet. We will use next draft to get the best guard/tackle.

    • @Mattaga
      @Mattaga 17 дней назад

      Good tackles are rare, no team is giving anyone but mediocre players and only if they have a enough depth at tackle, which most team do not. It would cost big money and a top pick for a guy who would be a 3rd or 4th round pick at best. Give up high draft picks(which you can trade down for multiple picks) for a mediocre band aid? It would basically guarantee a bad draft next year, because good tackles go in the first round.

    I would do whatever I can to trade for another Tackle. I do believe that the Oline will be better to start the season with Lowe (who was much better at LT) and Onwenu back at RG and Andrew’s as Center, but they still need another Tackle. Otherwise, their Defense has actually been really good especially considering they haven’t played much of their starters in the secondary at all (outside of a bit the last game).

    • @spa2damax
      @spa2damax 17 дней назад +1

      There are none available. They might be able to pick up a stop gap/ hail Mary or two before the deadline.

  • @FantasySportsZen
    @FantasySportsZen 18 дней назад +4

    The first play is an attempt to pull 350-pound Mike Onwenu from RT all the way to a left-side RB screen pass.
    That one play tells you all need to know about the state of this franchise. Also, starting Sidy Sow caused your QB to get hurt on that play. Same can be said for having #39 out there (I think that's Hasty).
    Personnel and offensive-design incompetence. Total bummer.

      JOe moved the ball on more drives having behind the backup O'line vs Drakes one drive behind the starters. I'd protect Drake by not starting this guy. We can't go 1-4 without fans calling for Drake's head at that time. Let Joe and others takes the shots while this line tries to improve.

    I don't recommend starting Drake until this line gets way better. Joe can take those hits as the lines improves. WE can't risk Mc Jone'sing Drake. Drake has a long good, some ugly some great plays in his one lone scoring drive on the night vs the commander's back up's. This isn't a game where you say, "Drake was amazing" lol. NO, he went 1 for 5 in his series against backups behind the staring O'line. Joe didn't even have that. So, I think we have to prioritize with low risk to QB's. I wouldn't start Drake until the line improves.

    • @CoryD_85

      Joe had that vs the easy Panthers team

  • @gwhite7136
    @gwhite7136 17 дней назад

    Ok, guys, going one scoring drive, that's 1 for 4 or 5 drves against back ups isn't good. He and the starting line protecting him and that didn't go well. Joe had two scoring drives behind 2nd and 3rd string O'line and still moved the ball well. For both QB's this was tough sledding due to the O' line and against only backups for the Commanders. Joe and Drake did some good things and bad things and that's to be understood with such little help around you.

      One TD got called back. And Drake scored a TD vs the Eagles a superbowl team, running it in at the 10 yrd line counts, so he has Two, should have been 3
