They rated G2 as A tier while they rated themselves as B tier.
G2 are scrim players, they always perform much, much better in scrims than they do on international stage. Last year they went undefeated against NRG in scrims, and got 2-0'd on stage, in two extremely dominant games. You'd have thought they were 4th seed from a minor region that series. If same thing happens again, TL is going to spank them even harder than NRG considering they've already taken games off them in scrims.
The reason for this is they play snowbally, and so in scrims where the enemy team is limit testing, trying new champs, and altogether not trying to win as much as they are trying to learn and practice, G2 snowballs the game. As soon as their opponents get serious on stage, the snowball never gets rolling, and G2 just doesnt do enough. Its sort of like NA Lucian, Lucian works in the LCK and LPL because they play extremely high tempo, so he is capable of snowballing and running over the game, but NA Lucians were playing slow and so were their opponents, so an early snowball ADC rarely worked. We saw like two games the entire season, Berserker vs 100T in playoffs, and Yeon in regular season, where the Lucian actually got a lead and ran the game.

While NA went something like 0-12 against the eastern teams, G2 was something like 4-9 which is ofc 100x better. G2 managed to take games from GEN G, BLG, DK, WBG. So not only scrim players but ok man.
@@leevimasalin2301 if you go 13-2 vs nrg in scrims and then proceed to lose 0-2 to them on stage, that makes you scrim players. I am not saying g2 are bad, they are drastically better than any team from eu or na, which is precisely why they shouldn’t be losing a series on stage like that

Any Western teams above B is a crime after the Wests recent world performances. It's literally a fact that the 4th seed from LPL/LCK are literally better than the 1st seed from NA/EU, especially when LPL 4th seed made worlds finals, LCK 4th seed won worlds (DRX) and every Western team barring EG (NA, lmao) struggles even making it out of groups nowadays with x4 LPL/LCK teams going.
Just stop, G2 is B tier, better than TL but not as much of a gap as TES/BLG/T1/Gen G have over G2.

TES is too inconsistant to be at the same level of T1. GenG and BLG are up there because of consistancy, but not because their peaks are that much differenct
