I am feeling proud that in Australia we have EPA and NCC of NSW doing this great job.

Great job getting that protection for this amazing region of NSW . Who cares about politicians . No need to bring them up !

Life now protected for perpetuity - thanks for all involved in this wonderful outcome for nature - and our human nature that is languishing for a natural world!

Thank you so much to all the people who worked and still work to save this place (and others). You are absolute LEGENDS!!!!!! And future generations especially will be so grateful to people like you.

My father's father was transferred to Lithgow in the 20's and 30's. My father talked of weekends spent here and similar localities around Bell generally as he, his brother and their mates were growing up.

Disappointing that it's included a lot more restricted access so it actually cannot be enjoyed as easily by the general public as it used to be

So you think this area is now fully protected? It's a SCA, not a NP. What about the underground mining that's allowed in SCA's, and the outrageous commercial recreation developments proposed for this area? Hardly protected. This area should be a NP. Shallow victory indeed!

strange comment at the end, when it was Cusak who was blaming her own liberal party for approving the coal mine in the first place
