I use 50/50 water/aloe vera juice, plus a separate bottle of rose water to spray and moisturize every day practically.. no itching or extremely minimal. I exercise 4-5x a week and sauna 3-4x a week, no issues. Cold water only on head and scalp
How often do you wash your hair man? I was using bro memes but I think it was making me really freaking itchy. Having dandruff issues and idk how to fix it 😭
@@momof4kings149 it’s made with glycerin. I just found out tho if your hair is lacking moisture already and you use rose water it will dry out even more
Wash the hair to the roots in circles clockwise. Anytime there is some itching I have found it's typically because the hair needs to be lifted from the scalp which happens if the roots are washed correctly. The relief that's all I will leave u with lol clarifying shampoo remember that Kristen Es works wonders trust me on this.
Thanks bro i needed this i started my journey the other day I'm on day 4 now and my sculp is itching like hell but thanks for the advice thanks bro really appreciate it much love mi bruda
wouldnt those scalp massagers break your forming locks? or even if they've finished forming wouldnt it mess it up somehow? I had someone use one of those on my to show me it and it seemed like it broke some of my still forming straight hair locks
it’s crazy cause my first set i didn’t completely loc em but i would use head and shoulders shampoo and there would be no itch, smell, or dandruff and now i try to use it again and it’s now doing all of that
Is it normal for the hair to start locking from the roots? My toddler hair locked at the roots then the new growth started breaking off.. had to cut it all off and now im afraid to try again 😩😩 (also is it fine to use a brush when i wash?)
Ive been using the lavender Dr. Bronners and i've heard that this one in particular leaves residue, have you experienced that? i haven't really had any increase in residue but i'm not too sure if anyone else sees this or experienced it please lmk
That sounds completely normal! With Freeform you can expect a small Afro of new growth to remain below the locs for most the entire journey. But the roots will get closer to locking up a lot further in the process. I’m in the same place as you are, no need to worry!
A great way to tell is to let the water run through, and squeeze your hair like a sponge, keep doing this until you see the water run clear in the shower out your hair
