Needs more reps, but has traits of both Deshawn and Mahomes. 49ers can't mess this up. They talked about how the feel like they missed on both QBs in previous interviews. I know the kid isn't 100% yet, but this one feels obvious to me. If John and Kyle are both Honest dudes, they'll pay Jimmy and let the year play out with him behind center for at least 1 season and maybe even two if he can lead us to a ship this season. Let Trey sit behind 'Garpolo' for a year and gain experience. Learn the playbook, verbiage, yatta yatta yatta. Give him lots of playing time in both preseason games...ect. All the players want Jimmy to play this year. Both Kyle and Johns reps around the league with both players and fans is 100% on the line here. Why piss, literally, everyone off by taking Jones? And honestly, you only take jones to start right away 100%. If Jimmy gets jettisoned its gonna upset the team internally and would be out of character, I believe, for both Kyle and John. The fans will go nuts (in a bad way). The leash will be microscopic, quite unfairly, on Mac with just about everyone.
People debating the NDSU move to P5 or G5 have no clue how idiotic it would be. Their program, school, and recruits are the way they are because of their position in their current conference. They're completely fine with playing 1-2 FBS teams a year. They've never lost a game against those teams either. They'll always be able to compete with those teams in the same way I'd say App. State competes with them. Never count them out by any means against larger programs.

Funny part is James Madison wants to jump to the fbs but said they want the.right conference courting them first I think those are the 2 most consistent teams that could make that jump second to Illinois state and UNI
