Wow, thank you so much for this video and having the items in the description. I was looking for a cost effective way to build a putting green that could be rolled up. Where I started work, the one for rec activities is more of a hazard for the seniors.

Johnny, the putting green is 4 ft X 10-12 ft. Its currently rolled up. I used 2 foam tiles where the holes were and strips from another to contour the length of the green, so 3-4 foam tiles depending on how fancy you want to be.

Tony Yoo, sure just double or triple up on the foam padding. In fact I'm thinking about making an updated version that has the foam floor panels the entire length of the run. Thanks for your question.
@@tonyjyoo I got the turf from Home Depot, but I have a new roll of astro carpet 6ftX9ft with better backing and smoother nap from Costco end of year sale really cheap for around $9.
I went out and bought the same astroturf as you but I've noticed that the ball always rolls slightly to one side of the mat. I think this is due to the way the grains of the turf are facing (maybe not?). Do you have any suggestions on how to overcome this problem? I'm not expecting something perfect but it's pretty significant on a putt longer than a few feet.
Dan B, wow, that's interesting. That hasn't happened to us. It might have to do with how long the roll was sitting around on the floor at the store. You might try using a broom and see if you could coax the rug to stand up again, or it might do it itself after lying flat for a bit of time...
@@MakeItorBreakItNow Ah yeah you're probably right. I tried brushing it but didn't see much change. I'm considering soaking in water to see if that would loosen them up at all. I would love to hear other suggestions if you come up any.
