Such a beautiful song...I remember when it first came out, Boston has a great sound that stands the test of time! So glad I lived through these great musical times, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s!!
My youngest brother named his youngest daughter Amanda. Sadly, in February of 2017, she passed from Sepsis at the age of 20 years old. She was a Junior in College, studying English Literature....as she wanted to be a writer. She left behind 100's of poems and short stories in boxes in her closet. I miss my niece Amanda...and I tear up when I hear this song. And yes...my brother named her because of this song.
@@maureentavares6488 I am so sorry for your loss. I know that there is nothing anyone can say to take the pain away. I know my brother has changed because of the loss of his daughter Amanda. I painted a garden of her favorite flowers, and didn't finish it...as I titled it, Amanda's Unfinished Garden. It hangs in her bedroom at my brother's house.
Boston was such a great sound. Incredibile guitar play and guitarist.Amazing voice of frontman. RIP. Musically and vocally it s wonderful to listen to and always brings back good memories from a long time ago. That was spot on that your name too ends with an a. That was pretty neat.Loved your timing.😀
Boston has a great sound all their own. Tom is very talented. The first two albums, some of the best music. 40+ years ago - sounds great and still one of my favorite bands.
Boston is SO special- When i first heared this song in an record shop, I knew its Boston at once, although they didnt make a record for YEARS. They simply have their own sound.
India ,thanks for your reaction to Amanda Boston song , it was a great one ,I enjoy it. Wonderful. Maybe in the future you can do Paul McCartney "Maybe I'm amazed " great song.
I drank a couple, and smoked a couple after work. Wanted to hear some Boston. Remembered a Boston reaction video from the other day. My sister's name is Amanda. Decided to click your video. It shows that people that like all kinds of things, live in every culture. There's always some body, some color to like. If we grew up in the same trailer park, we'd probably have our own trailer park by now.
Third Stage: Boston, 5150: Van Halen, Raised On Radio, Journey - TOP THREE ALBUMS for the Summer of 1986, and not ONE video on MTV for any of them; these were albums made for listening!
love the way the girl in the video gazes lovingly at the camera. so beautiful. as a man, to have a woman gaze lovingly at you that way is a joy unmatched in human relationships. your heart just leaps into orbit.
India great song to listen to and I'm glad you only stopped the video once for comment as I like to hear the whole song then the reaction. I always enjoy your facial expressions to the song.❤
Takes me back to high school. Big #1 hit in 1986. I don't know who made this video. It's obviously from many years later. Boston didn't make an official video for this song. Back in the glory days of MTV (80's and 90's) it's said that this is the only #1 hit that didn't have a video on the music channel.
@@jadedemerald Nothing beats the first album, but third stage has some great tracks on it. "Amanda" is what it is, a top 40 ballad but the rest of the album has some kickin tracks.
@@golddredgewater Oh no! Please don't talk like that my friend. Look around at some couples... some you think how did they get together as one is not attractive at all. Then there are beautiful people who are still single. You are thinking wrong. The minute you realize you are special and worthy in God's eyes, you will see what happens. Join groups, go out, say hi to people. ..always have a smile on your face and always let the other person feel special. Ask them about themselves, but most of all ask God to bring someone into your life. A Godly person. Pray until it happens. God bless you.
This was my brother's rock-out song for the mother of his son. They didn't work out...and then: Heartbreaking when you learn the man who wrote and sang the song committed suicide - from loneliness and depression. ...now this song will always bring tears to my eyes...
Hi India, just want to say I enjoy watching your reactions to these songs. Would like to see you react to don't know what you got till it's gone by Cinderella
Brad Delp did all the vocals, Tom Scholz wrote, produced, engineered, and played the instruments. Sib Hashian may have played drums on this track, but I think it was also Tom.
Brad Delp was a great singer. R.I.P Brad. Boston has never been the same. Last time they had a live video after Brad died, they had 2 singers trying to walk in Brad's shoes. The singer from Stryper, and one of the singers from Toto. Even though they tried, between the 2 of them they could measure up to Brad Delp. Boston has been one of my favorites for a very long time. Cool the engines is a good song, but I don't really know of a song that isn't good. Took them a long time to complete, but the album Third Stage was great. I was in the Navy when that album came out. I played the cassette so many times that I had to get another one because this one was getting so used it would stop playing anytime
I like your reactions as you don't take half an hour to explain what you feel about them nor are pausing the songs for so long. This isn't the video this song came with of course.

No argument there. His style and tone was his own.
If not the greatest of all time!
Not one of the greatest but the absolute greatest voice in any genre.

Just another awesome reaction...great tune from a great band
This was the first song off of their third album. We waited almost ten years for it. Well worth the wait.

So sad 2 hear bout Brad's suicide, what we go through as humans is sometimes unspeakable. God Bless u Brad.
