There's also a thing about food in Ramadan.
In Ramadan, we fast for a long time and by doing that we're staying away from the "maladhat" (desires). Ramadan is a month of ibadah.
Those two things make me think that in ramadan, cook the food you usually cook usually. Keep the maladhat for eid. Sambousa, briouat, kunafa,..etc., this and that every single day.
Like you don't even do that on usual days where you're not staying away from maladhat, but when it comes to Ramadan in which you're doing tazkiyat alnafs, you decide to focus on food?
You're only two people that eat full meals in the house right now( I'm not counting the baby, cuz her meal isn't in big proportions obviously). Now, if Louisa spends alot of time cooking when you're just two, what will she do when you're 3, 4 or 5 (insha'Allah)?
I personally eat what I usually eat on breakfast in ramadan. The only difference is that I eat dates and drink a glass of water prior to that and maybe add harira (cuz I'm moroccan). For the "second meal", I eat what I usually eat for lunch on usual days (except that I would call it dinner in Ramadan..). And only from time to time do I eat "bastilla" or briouate or whatever. It's healthier and I don't necessarily feel full (like when I go to someone's house and they make all those things for ramadan).
