I have to admit that I've stopped listening to Owseys releases after tracks like "The last smile from Sarah" because I really didn't like them anymore. But after hearing this I am in love with his work again. Got this vinyl as an Christmas present from a very good friend of mine from way back in the day. Was strange to see a gift from this girl show up in my mail box as have moved countries and houses multiple times in the last 4 years since we have spoken. But 2 kids deep into a relationship of 5 years, I now want to leave everything and marry this girl as I think she is the only person on this planet that actually understands me. I'm so lost right now in life. Stuck between happiness and love. Fear and adventure. Lust and what I could lose if I left. Man life is hard when music is good and an old fling sends you what you have missed for so long out of the blue. I'm so lost in life I stand and think about the past and don't focus on the future anymore. Just about what could have been if I focused on a girl who focused on me while I focused on others... man life is shot when the woman you bore kids with doesn't give a fuck about you and past loves send you this ep in the post years after you have forgotten them....
Aye brother, it's crazy how easy the what-if's of the past can come and haunt you in the present. I have felt lost like you described it in the past and honestly the only thing that helped me was being alone without my family on a work trip where I got to partake in traditional ceremonies of my people. I also ended up listening to hours of people explaining general life philosophies on RUclips during the drive in. It's a world away from most people's life experiences but it helped me realize and appreciate how good my life actually is back home. I hope you have found peace for yourself because burning passion can be a bit hot to handle sometimes lol.
Owsey likes to sample a lot? I really hope so. Cos Simple and Clean I've heard him/her do and To Zanarkand as well. I hope there is more from my favourite game series'.
