This book was written by Veda Vyasa almost 5000 years ago. It was clearly mentioned in that book what happens in the future with his divine vision. Don't talk about Terminator here 😂 😂

Bro its not terminator. Terminator released in 1984. This movie is taken from. Hindu ancient vidic scriptures which is 3rd century BCE. Its just that nobody knows that about much because everybody is busy with their own culture.
Edit : also here there is no concept of resistance. Ashwatthama killed the baby in mahabharata war so lord krishna cursed him he will be immortal until he redeems himself. He will age , suffer from diseases but wont die and be in pain. So ashwatthama decided to do a good work by protecting the baby to redeem himself. That baby is kalki who will end this bad world and a new world will rise

Kalki is actually 10th avatar of god vishnu...In past more than thousands of year, prophecy was made that kalki will born in future and end the kal yuga(time period which we live in now, where earth will ruled by evil and every resource will depleted on earth) and restart the cycle of yuga. In this movie immortal people ( like Aswasthama) from Maharashtra and hindu text gonna appear. This gonna be vast scale movie, so get knowledge of Hindus gods and Mahabharata before watching.

In satyuga - During Ramayan , Vishnu took avatar as Ram to kill the demon Ravan and establish dharma. Than in tretayuga- Vishnu took avatar as Krishna to kill demon king Kans and restore dharma. In Kalyuga vishnu will take acatar as Kalki to kill demon Kali.
And there will be seven immortals in this fight who will help Kalki to win against Kali. One immortal being named Ashwathama played by Amitabh bachchan.😊

The evil kali as meditating n no one else is meditating hope it's shows according to puran or else it will be popular but a westernsied Indian flim

@@deepaksahu6075 The point is modern technology looks the same everywhere. Car made by Batman will always be somewhere or other same as Bujji made by Prabhas.
And if we actually understand Hollywood, lots of their characters are inspired from our history and mythology. In that case we should say , Hollywood has copied our history then ! But we won't say that ...
Whole concept is End of Kaliyug and rise of Kalki . Dystopian era looks this way in our ancient scriptures too . A bit of westernization is not bad thing when we blend our history perfectly with it .
Believe in Nag Ashwin. That man is gonna change Indian cinema!

Let me explain why Indian audience is damn eager for this: In Hinduism, there are 4 Yugas (Eras). Satya Yuga (Golden Age) Treta Yuga (Silver Age) Dwapar Yuga (Copper Age) and Kali Yuga (Iron Age). The level of wickedness, badness and misery in world increases in every consecutive Yuga. As years pass, one Yug ends and another begins. Ramayan happened in Treta Yug. Mahabharat happened in Dwapar Yug. Currently we are in the Kali Yug (2024 AD). Now the interesting part, The Yugas aren't linear, they are in a circle like a clock, the end of Kali Yug would begin the Satya Yug. But as Satya Yuga is the holiest of all and Kaliyug the unholiest, the transition of these two Yugas won't be the same as the other pairs. When this happens, the Universe will face an entire wipe out and only the good souls will survive that will carry on the Satya Yuga once again. It is like a circle of life. What begins will end, and the end will bring a new beginning! There are more details of each Yuga, how they were, what were the timelines, how were the humans then, etc.
Now, coming to the movie... You need to know that in these four Yugas, to maintain the balance and prove the victory of goodness vs evil (Dharma vs Adharma), Lord Vishnu, the Proprietor of the Universe incarnates in the mortal world for 10 times, called the 10 Avatars or Dashavatar. Avatar is an Indian word. [Dharma means righteousness and not religion here!]. I won't speak about all the Incarnations in detail here, but you guys must have heard about Shree Ram and Shree Krishn. They were the 7th and 8th Avatars of Lord Vishnu. Depending on necessities, He incarnated with different qualities and forms. In Treta Yug, Shree Ram established Dharma by defeating Ravan and establishing Ram Rajya, the rule of peace. In Dwapar Yug, Shree Krishn defeated Kans to protect his region, and his role in the Great Mahabharat to establish Dharm is known by you. Interestingly, till today, only 9 Avatars have been born and completed their goals. The 10th and last avatar of Lord Vishnu was prophecised to come at the end of Kali Yug to establish Dharm once again and this destruction will start the Satya Yuga once again. The name of this Avatar will be Kalki. Even the birthplace and names of parents are mentioned in the Holy books of Hinduism. This movie is based on the place, where Shambhapur will see the birth of Kalki (in the womb of Deepika). Amitabh Bachchan's character is of Ashwatthama, one of the 8 immortals of the world, who was cursed by Shree Krishn at the end of Mahabharat to be immortal and suffer. He and the other 7 Chiranjeevi (immortals) including Hanuman will pave the way for Kalki to reach his destination to defeat Kali, the demon.
This movie has the backdrop of a very core subject which is close to us Indians and that's why, people will definitely appreciate it.
I'll say a very interesting fact at the last:
    1. It is believed that in Satya Yuga, good and evil were in different worlds, Devta (Demigods) in Devlok ans Asuras (demons) in Asurlok...
    2. In Treta Yug, good and evil were in same world, Shree Ram and Ravan
    3. In Dwapar Yug, good and evil were in the same family, Pandavas and Kauravas.
    4. In Kali Yug, good and evil are in the same person, our own thoughts! THIS IS A VERY BIG LESSON I BELIEVE!

So annoying seeing people in the comments expecting a guy reacting to a trailer to do his "research" and write a thesis on Indian Mythology and Nag Ashwin's vision.
It is NATURAL to make comparisons to existing western franchises like Terminator/LOTR/Star Wars.
The comparison is a COMPLIMENT - the visuals are reminding Levi of some of his most loved franchises, which speaks volumes for the efforts made by team Kalki in bringing us this movie.

You're right on point about almost everything.
So, it's the tale about the legend of 'avatar' as per hindu scriptures. Each time when humanity tilts the other way, an Avatar takes human shape to help maintain balance. This movie begins where the last avatar ends 5000± years ago and proceeds to the future where the predicted Avatar takes birth again to destroy the 'mega villain' and restore the balance.
I'm just hoping it's going to be more than the typical good v bad thing and has something more complex going on.

Nothing wrong with not reading about it or knowing about it. Just letting you know some facts.
