After the Bergens invade Troll Village, Poppy (Anna Kendrick), the happiest Troll ever born, and the overly-cautious, curmudgeonly Branch (Justin Timberlake) set off on a journey to rescue her friends. Their mission is full of adventure and mishaps, as this mismatched duo try to tolerate each other long enough to get the job done.

it's insane how perfectly Anna Kendrick's voice fits to this animation, i recognize it anywhere 💗🌈😂😂😂
I think this is one of her weaker roles.

Anna Kendrick has done some amazing work out there, i myself def don't think 'Trolls' would ever be the best or my favorite one of all as well.. but also not the weakest tho.. it's ok yk. idk, i don't think much into it really, i think if anything what i don't like much is the chosen soundtrack maybe.. some songs fit the animation and character's voices, others just don't. _But yeah, It's not like 'Pitch Perfect' which i loved literally every single performance and song choice, for example._ Hahah

Yeah that’s really surprising heartbreaking that scene.
This scene could’ve been done better if it was shown at the beginning and Poppy would’ve mentioned that she felt sad for Branch.
Yeah everytime I watch the movie and I see that scene my tears want to come out
I'm glad to see there's at least some people who felt bad with the mass of people who laugh at it

I think it's the way they said it that can be too munch of a slap and unusual thing. If it was explained more clearly, gradually and in munch more sadness and hurt, and with a clear conclusion, that would've been taken more seriously by more people.
This movie is such meme potential and so funny. That grandma scene is hilarious from beginning to end. They clearly meant it to be subversive but still kinda played it straight. Best part of the movie,

2:12, to be fair a lot of children’s stories revolve around a protagonist not wanting to get eaten. Boy Who Cried Wolf, Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel
It's actually one of the oldest forms of antagonism in a story. It's an oldie but a Goody why else has that stuck around for hundreds of years

The movie has so much glitter that the animators designed their own effect rendering so that the glitter works like glitter would in real life. So much work for something not needed

Dude! This movie had a giant impact on me! It was 100% a movie I needed since I was in a horrible place emotionally at the time. To the point where I wanted to end it all. Not to mention I have a fear of being eaten. 😅 This movie really did bring some joy and I loved it. It was a push I needed to get through high school. I still feel down as an adult, but a lot better than I was five years ago.

Believe it or not, I actually watched Trolls long after its release in movie theaters and on home media. Actually, it was about the time when the sequel was released when I finally sat down to watch it. When I did watch this film, I was actually impressed by it, for its collection of musical numbers, animation, humor, and story. If I could pick my top two songs from Trolls, they would be “Can’t Stop this Feeling” and “True Colors.”
So yeah, really like this Dreamworks film. One of my favorites.🙂
Same. I thought it sounded stupid. Then after awhile I kept hearing people say they liked it. One night I was looking for something to watch and saw it on Netflix and went “eh screw it. I’ll check it out.” I was very surprised to see myself liking it as well

For sure, the first Troll is darker where it seems to be, while the second is now a little smooth because the story is just all about trolls. Yet still great. Love this too.

Just realized, it’s like Inside Out. Forced positivity doesn’t work. Actually letting yourself be sad helps you work through what’s happening to become happy again

I love these movies. The hate they get is ridiculous. In 5 years everyone will appreciate these for the masterpieces they are, mark my words! And the music is nice gym tones.

I agree. Their amazing. Not everyone are as open to animated movies like this and can be too serious when it comes to the imperfections. Sure it's not everyone's piece of cake but, I personally love it as is and it is a good movie.

When you just say the line about the grandma with no context it does sound really ridiculous, but when it's said in the movie with the context and the atmosphere it's just chilling and then sad, and I'm kinda disgusted that so many others can't see that tbh
True Colors is one of those songs I'll listen to the movie version more than the original version.
I was honestly not convinced by this movie when I first saw the trailers for this back in 2016. However, thanks to Comic-Con in San Diego, their DreamWorks panel featured a sneak peek of Trolls. While they played about three scenes (for example, Bergens singing a Gorillaz song was a funny touch) exclusively for us at the time, they then played the scene where Branch and Poppy sang "True Colors" and immediately some attendees in that auditorium began to shed tears and some were already a crying mess. Wow. They were touched. I even volunteer there every summer.
Poppy was a bit mean to lead all the trolls to Branch's secret base. They will eat his food then probably die of hunger cause they won't think to pick berries or something. His hard work and weapons will be gone too. That's sad ;( He didn't deserve that! I get that Poppy wanted them to be safe BUT she could found another hiding.
This movie have a good message; Happyness is inside you, you don't need to eat other species to be happy. Simple and relatable, i like it :)

Actually if you look really close at the pyramid at the end of Poppy's first song, King Peppy is standing at the top. He's also quite surprised that he's there. 😂
I watched Trolls at the beginning of quarantine and i can't get over it.

I can’t wait to see your reaction to Trolls World Tour and also fun fact-I have a pair of Trolls lounge pants that I sometimes sleep in and they are dark grey and they have a pink and light blue stripe on the left leg and they also say TROLLS in big white letters on the top and bottom of the left leg and they also have a cute picture of Poppy and Branch fist bumping!

I'm really excited for your reaction to the Sequel - the first one for me was watchable for once and had some good songs, but it didn't really get me and convinced me as a movie, but the sequel really surprised me and kind of blew my mind how they made their own unique concept with music and all - great finally seeing a reaction to that movie ^^

It’s my favourite song in the movie💚
I remember seeing this one in cinemas when it first came out, and I can remember just absolutely loving it. I thought all of the songs were really cool and the True Colours bit was just so good. Believe it or not, it was actually my first intro to a lot of older pop songs I hadn't heard at the time, like September, I'm Coming Out and Everybody (Move your feet and feel united). So yeah, I know people like to crap on this one a lot, but I still really really enjoy it! 😊
