Africa Beats seeks out the most innovative and interesting up and coming musicians from the continent, and Aziza Brahim was chosen because of her beautiful fusing of traditional Saharawi vocal style.

Aziza Brahim uses her compelling voice to draw the world's attention to the ongoing plight of her people. Her fourth album Soutak (your voice) was released earlier this year to high acclaim.

As Saharawi from the occupied land of Western Sahara, I would like to thank you for your nice words because this is reflecting how people in around the world still feel to other in oppresed conditions by other. This step was taken by you while a commentator below says in Arabic You are a F.. deserves to be a refugee for whole life .
I was surprised of the fact just because I was planning to move in Spain and I hoped to meet her and take a conversation. After a long time of discrimination You are starting to do to the others what they did to you. We all are human beings, equally idiots are everywhere.
