As someone from the UK who started with the first game, the Dub really drew me into the series. While its definitely very hit and miss, I think the fact that they localised it so thouroughly really made me connect to the characters and plot dispite not really liking football that much because it felt very familiar to child me, to the point where I actually can't learn the Japanese names now because they'll always be Mark and Axel to me instead of Endou and Gouenji. Found this video from Reddit. Like the top comment says, this video is so well done and definitely deserves more attention. I like that it doesn’t give the wrong idea of what Inazumw Eleven is and breaks it down in a fair way. I also like the length of the video. Even though you pretty much went over every important aspect of the Anime, it’s still only 18 minutes long. I even like the editing! All in all, this is a great video that I really enjoyed!
as someone who is an Inazuma Eleven and Galactik Football enjoyer years later I have to say the algorithm absolutely blessed me. Like seriously this video is actually great and just well put together. I was so happy when you mentioned Kevin and Axel cause their interactions were also some of my favorites moments in the show
I just found this video and I am so happy to not be the only one to think that the crunchy audio of eternal blizzard in the game is absolutely fantastic. I remember I spammed that move only to hear it
I’ve been rewatching this show a couple of times, and it’s so interesting how I keep learning new things from it. One quote that really strikes me is when Mark told Jack who was scared of practice “if you love soccer, you can’t give up, because even when it gets difficult, you will always love it, and always find a way to get better, so you cannot give up as long as you love it”, it went something like that. I think this anime’s spirit is so uplifting and wise, it keeps me moving forward on so many aspects of my life. Thank you inazuma eleven, truly.
Even if this video is 2years old, im happy to see that peoples even 3 weeks ago still comments about how cool the anime was and how it inspired them the same way it did for me , yall are awesome ❤
The video game dubs probably come from the Professor Layton series as it was also made by Level 5 games. Professor Layton primarily based upon London characters so having the same voice actors makes sense for a small video game company imo but obviously looks strange from a neutral perspective
Honestly agree a lot with this video as a morbid IE fan myself. And a lot of the localisation is...interesting, to say the least. Especially with special move names. I'd say either Go or Ares are the biggest contenders for this. Their dub names go hard...sometimes not in a good way. Big ups to whoever came up with "Claw De Force" for Terry Archibald's "Rising Slash". And whoever localized Arion's special move names. Big W in Hyper-Swiper, Whirly-Whirly, Easy Breezy and Holy Roller etc.
I remember my dad waking me up at 7/8 a.m when i was a kid just to Watch inazuma eleven. It embrace the sense of football, inazuma eleven doesn’t want to tell a story with football, it wants to tell football, for this reason it’s the best football show alongside with holly e Benji
Physically shook when I heard you call them "Jack" and "Axel", I keep forgetting this game has official localised names. Anyway, great video, it's always great to see people showing love for this franchise~ ♥
Thank you for this love letter of one of my favourite franchises of all time! The OG Inazuma Eleven trilogy has been a substantial part of my adolescence and it still occupies an important spot in my heart, and it's lovely to know there are people out there that still feel the same! ❤
Inazuma Eleven has been incredibly important for me starting to love real life football. Noone in my family was into it, and therefore, neither was I. This started my interest in it
I had NO idea that the show was based on the games, as a childhood enjoyer of Inazuma Eleven, stumbling on it during wild west youtube. Your video captured its feeling perfectly.
AAAAAAAA I STARTED SQUEALING AT 7:02 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THE CHARACTER DESIGNS As an artist, the variety in body types, skin, hair, and eyes in Inazuma Eleven is by far the diverse I've seen compared to anime and that amazes me so much creatively. Thank you for making this awesome video!❤❤❤
Man, I am honestly so happy that there are people like you out there appreciating this saga that made my childhood and that of the little Italians around me. Have you been playing the new game?
ngl that show made my entire childhood, i have basically all games, watched the show at least 30 times, and yet i never get tired of it. Strangely the characters ended up feeling like old friends i would meet again after some time- It just feels nostalgic and great, calming even. Also, I've noticed there has been more than one follow-up season of Inazuma, after Go, they basically dropped Go Chrono Stones, Galaxy and after all of that? Another reboot in an alternate universe which is actually pretty good, it's called Ares and Orion for those who are interested
I really burst into tears while watching this video, it really hit me hard inside the deep of my heart, i dont know if other video in my entire life had me feeling like this, it brings me so much memories and honestly, inazuma eleven in general, the first 3 games plus the anime, really developed things about my personality by seeing the characters overcome situations and everything. Im so glad that i clicked on this video because i didn't think i would have needed it this much, big hug for everybody ❤🩹
I've always been such a football fan and since I live in America not many people like football. Finding this series made me so happy. The anime always was fun to watch and made me feel like I could do anything. Great video and captures mostly everything I feel about the show. Lastly Scotty Banyan on top. Thanks for this video man! Amazing to see so many people having a shared experience of liking this show as a kid, and coming back to it years later and it still holding up.
This anime is so beloved it's one of the very few I can find a complete record of the dutch dub of. Once in a while me and my dutch friends go "oh right I forgot about inazuma eleven, that show fucking slaps" and we spend the week doing watch parties on discord. I love this show so much, I'm going to download every episode of the dutch dub I can find and keep it on my hard drive incase it ever gets taken down. Edit: Oh also Afuro Terumi (or as I know him, Byron Love) was my bisexual awakening. Thank you for that, king. Even trying to remain objective I still think his dutch voice is far and out the best dub for the character (especially given that Inazuma Eleven's dub was made before dutch dubs devolved into directly translating sentences from english, leading to weird and unnatural sentence structure)
Bro I remember watching this when I was like 9 way back on the Nintendo Anime Channel, thank you for making me remember what it's called, now I just need to find somewhere to watch it...
the thing i like the most about inazuma eleven is how it inspire you to evolve, which in most part of the season raimon/inazuma japan are the underdogs and evolve as the season goes on and even during the matches, and this culminates in the last FFI game every little giants players were based on the first raimon mainly, and they were so much better than everyone in the FFI, then comes their match with inazuma japan and of course they were dominating them, but once inazuma japan ties the game it forces the little giants realize they were wrong and make them evolve also, with the entire match being both teams surpassing themselves until the end
The RUclips algorithm brought me here. I love the way you convey your thoughts and humour, had me smiling the whole video. I am so happy to see Inazuma Eleven get some love despite it's rocky road after the OG series.
Fun Fact. The Soundtrack was Composed by Yasunori Mitsuda and Natsumi Kameoka, the former being the conposer of the Chrono Series, Xeno Series, and other banger soundtracks. They composed all 3 seasons as well as GO 2 and GO Galaxy, along with their respective games.
This anime built our passion towards football and to this day we still talk about those special moves and techniques.❤ I cried a lot watching this video and listening to those tracks once again
The fact that RUclips has only recommended my this now is ridiculous, I loved hearing about your personal experiences and insights into the series. I think it's much needed too, because Inazuma Eleven warrants being talked about, but unfortunately I've never met anyone in my personal life who has ever heard of it. I definitely will look into watching the anime now - I've only ever played the games and wasn't sure how the anime would compare, but you've definitely convinced me to check it out. You hit the nail on the head saying that IE has a lot of heart, because you really can feel the passion and the love put into every inch of the series. You really captured a lot of the sheer coolness of the football itself (I especially appreciated the nod to the sound design of the special moves in the games), but I think the characters and the journeys they go through is why I love IE the most. It's nothing revolutionary of course, but I do think the writing is stronger than you'd expect. The second game in particular is so full of powerful emotions and really memorable character moments - Nathan's arc in the second game is my favourite for how heart breaking but real it is. Feeling like you need to be better but you can't and that you'll never be good enough is something I think any teenager can relate to, and seeing it lead to being physically broken as well as mentally just really impacted me personally. I think using injuries (which are a common part of real football) is such a genius idea to both create tense, emotional moments as well as allow new characters to come into the team. Likewise I love Kevin's arc in the first game (and honestly he's one of the best characters in general imo), and while I think the third game was a bit of a step down writing-wise from the others, it still had some of the best individual moments in the series imo. The scene with Jude and Caleb having a heartfelt but heated discussion while smashing the ball at each other is probably my favourite from that game. I'd never heard anyone else mention the British dub before, but it did always strike me as kind of cool actually. It let me even further connect to the characters, being from the West Midlands personally, hearing all the accents that I recognise (even if a bit silly and over the top) who were all these super cool characters with struggles I could connect to playing the sport I love; it really meant a lot to me as a kid. It is definitely amusing to look back on though, Darren LaChance's accent has to be my favourite like come on bro your ass is NOT Japanese. I replayed the original trilogy last summer and it's always such a delight. The first game feels so cozy and nice, it's like stepping into a warm bath full of childhood memories, I can't help but smile from sheer nostalgia half the time I'm playing. The second game brings the feels and my favourite story of the bunch, and the third is still a really fun victory lap for the trilogy with some great aspects of it's own. I love that the third game is a 3DS game and they can now animate the ball in the 2D world, which they used for some really cool training scenes. Sorry to ramble so long if anyone read this lmao, this video was just such a great love letter to Inazuma Eleven and it really brought a lot of thoughts and feelings to my mind. I hope to make my own retrospective videos discussing the original three games once I get a job and can buy some equipment/software. That probably won't be for some years though because I'm barely holding up with just my university degree right now lmao. Thank you for making this video :)
I watched that show in Arabic when I was kid and it was such an awesome and inspirational story and the Arabic voice acting was great too and I made sure my small siblings watched it and sure enough, they loved it too.
Thought that you would talk about Inazuma Eleven GO because even though it’s as simple as the other series storywise, but if you scratch the surface, you would find that it has a very deep story about liberate school football league from corrupt association which made it very interesting story in my opinion
Hi, here to bring an Italian perspective on Inazuma Eleven. I Always feel here in Italy the show and the game was perceived much more intensely than most other countries. Of course everyone else from different countries, feel free to correct me, but this was definitely the idea perceived by us, 2000s Italian kids. I even remember reading that for the Inazuma Eleven game that didn't make it to be published in the west, the Italian fan made localisation was accomplished secondly just to the English one. Anyway, here in Italy we all followed the TV series and the game.
The way Inazuma Eleven comes into my life at a young age and i still love it like i did when i was a kid is wild. Keep making videos like this. I really enjoy the entire video
I need to rewatch this show. And the Go sequels. For the 7th time. Man I love Inazuma Eleven so much. Thank you for making this video! Inazuma was my very first anime. I watched the Dutch dub on tv back when it was airing and something about it was so... different to me. So I looked it up and found out there was more than just the first season, but in English. I watched that, but halfway through season 2 I could suddenly only find episodes in this strange language (I'd never heard Japanese before haha) and the characters had weird names. After a while my curiosity won out and I ended up watching the rest as well as Go and its sequels while they were airing and I've never looked back. The localised names both make me cringe and feel really nostalgic. I can still quote some parts of the first season in Dutch from how many times the episodes aired. Such an amazing show
thank you for making this video!! its kind of like the introduction videos other franchises get, but thats also really nice for nostalgia freaks. this def deserves more attention
It's not often that I find a video that almost exactly mirrors how I grew up with a series but Inazuma 11 really hit me in the exact same way. It was the first anime I truly felt pationate enough to read subtitles for and got me to start being super active and join clubs thanks to it's influence. It will always be one of my favourite pieces of fiction ever for how much it shaped my youth!
Jude was my favourite character, show was such a big part of my childhood, still havent played the 3rd game will get around to it one day, promised myself that after seeing it on shelves all those years ago
Really glad to see this video popping up on my feed. Inazuma Eleven was a pretty big thing in my country, and I have really fond memories of watching the anime and spending many hours playing the second game. I don't even like football, but the over-the-top style of the series was fuel for my 8-year old mind. You definitely did it justice!
At last, found a video that appreciates the genuineness, earnestness, the charm, the heart, lovable, real-like characters, good conflicts, character arcs, character development... which makes us really invested in them, their story, their journey and the stakes in Inazuma 11... No matter how absurd it gets. Seriously, season 3's weakest opponents can take out the season 2 opponents, the Aliens, who caused mass destruction that even the Japanese govt was worried about it. But apart from this one thing, which is miniscule in the grand scheme of things, it's actually really good... And has a lot if tension, stakes that make us invested in it, takes itself seriously and delivers the excitement, enjoyment and edge of the seat thrill, and ofc cool action. Of course Haikyuu is objectively a better sports anime, and inazuma 11 is also one of my favourite anime, and even though I think I might've out grown it, it still has a special place in my heart, I'll always cherish it and I'll still feel as much pumped, excited and emotional whwn I listen to the OSTs. It taught me a lot , helped me through my tough times, gave me the drive and motivation to face challenges difficulties head-on and accept the reality and grow through it. And all this I've learnt at the time when needed it the most. And Endou Mamoru (Mark Evens) will always be one of my favourite characters till date (no matter how cliched protagonist he is)... It deserves more videos and attention on the internet. I got very much excited about the sequels like Go, Chronostone etc, but they felt more of style without substance. I never felt the amount of connection I've fekt with the OG characters. OG Inazuma 11 Japanese anime is excellent at what it tries to do,
The spanish voice acting is the typical semi-cringe anime dub but... it has its charm, we all grew up with the dubbed anime on TV and THE OPENINGS ARE GODDDD if you sing "arriba, chuta, la victoria es tuya" on the street on Spain, someone is gonna follow you 100% (if they don't think you're crazy or smth)
Clicked cause: Gotta support the GOAT Stayed cause: Holy Shit OD this is so good, I really hope you start making content again, this was not only super entertaining, but also really heartfelt. 💯💯💯
First of all great video man, it deserves many more views. I loved Inazuma Elevn too as a kid and I both watched the anime and grinded the games so hard but I always thought that the games were made after the anime and not the opposite. You blew my mind lol
All the teams in Inazuma do have a small person and a bigger build one. They want to show us that football is for everyone and even without any skill you can get skills by showing discipline, courage and get more skills by training of course. Loved the series and definitely the games aswell. Glad victory road is on its way so we can enjoy this game!
I feel like I know this show inside and out by this point. Grew up with it. played pretty much most of the important games, watched the anime, seen bits of the manga, and created my own ideas for hissatsus. This show is nuts and the best sports anime I've watched, next to like Hajime No Ippo.
Grew up with this show, and MAN, was it awsome. Also, I don't care whether it's nostalgia or not, the Dutch version of the intro is absolutely the best one. The Japanese intro just don't hit the same. Then again, probably _is_ just nostalgia...
I've been watching this since the day it came out on Dutch TV when I was like 10 or something. Since then I never stopped loving this anime And I love the wackiness especially when I'm super stoned haha
its sad to see you only have 2 videos because you defintly have the talent to become a youtuber i laughed alot during this video and you told the story in your own way perfectly even gave me alot more inside about inazuma eleven
This show used to air in an Arabic channel called spacetoon (it's still up to this day ) this show was one of it's gems and every kid knows that show , the Arabic version had a banger opening , voic acting and even the name was changed to football heros (ابطال الكرة) I remember some kids trying to do their Technics and that was funny , this show was a pillar in my childhood and I would never forget it even in a million year
Can't talk about other languages but, in Spanish translation, the game images were translated in all the games and series, things like the footbol frontier image in the club and the sign, or the books in the mark bedroom, I think Inazuma Eleven has one of the bests Spanish dub and translation
Man I can still remember, me and my younger brother exiting school, running back home so we could watch the show before it ends. Buying snacks on the way home and singing along with the intro, it is one of our most precious memories together, especially for us being Brazilians where football (soccer) is very popular in general.
Can't believe I just found this video 2 years later. Inazuma Eleven was my childhood. I grew up with the DS games and the anime when I lived in Japan. As a half japanese half black kid Inazuma Eleven was my shit lol. It was rly cool seeing the diversity in the cast of characters too which was pretty rare to see during the mid-late 2000s. Some kids pretended to be Ninjas on the playground, I tried blocking a football coming straight at me with my palm screaming "GOD HAND" lmao. I definitely need to rewatch it, 100% one of my personal top 10 anime of all time. The anime just goes too hard
I JUST found this. And I'll be honest, you only covered the Anime to a small degree. For the Ares/Orion series, they returned to the more basic series, but ran with a new story and cast in place of season 2. Like the Aliens are actually just their orphanage but they still developed world class skills and similar techniques, and Shirou and Atsuya(Shawn and Aiden) are both alive and playing as a team. New characters and Hissatsus appear as well. But for the Inazuma Eleven Go series, they had time travel and actual Aliens.

Inazuma Eleven went so hard, after IE GO they also made an alternative timeline of what happens after what happens in the first Inazuma Eleven game, IE Ares and Orion, it's pretty good! Also new game for switch HYPE
Thanks very much I really appreciate it!
as someone who is an Inazuma Eleven and Galactik Football enjoyer years later I have to say the algorithm absolutely blessed me. Like seriously this video is actually great and just well put together. I was so happy when you mentioned Kevin and Axel cause their interactions were also some of my favorites moments in the show
Im still sad Galatik Football got cancelled and left the show on a cliffhanger ending
here in brazil it is soooooooooooooo famous (what a surprise) but we all loved it and kinda everyone knows how to sing the oppenings
I just found this video and I am so happy to not be the only one to think that the crunchy audio of eternal blizzard in the game is absolutely fantastic. I remember I spammed that move only to hear it
Inazuma Eleven is one of the most underated game series AND one of the most underated anime out there
I’ve been rewatching this show a couple of times, and it’s so interesting how I keep learning new things from it.
As a 22 year old I haven‘t watched Inazuma Eleven in a long time and you just brought back so many childhood memories so thank you❤
Honestly agree a lot with this video as a morbid IE fan myself.
Don’t forget about Ballzack 😂😂😂
Inazuma eleven is a fucking Miracle, like is something that you may not want but once you found it u actually needed it all along, legendary
My childhood. I've played every game from the first one up to Go Wildfire.
I am so glad to see someone appreciate Inazuma eleven it's my favorite and I have seen it tens of times but every time I enjoy it. ❤❤❤❤
9:11 chills literal chills. Also nice video, you made me rewatch the anime, thank you
You don't know how nostalgic I am about this anime! It's literally the only football-related thing I love!
AAAAAAAA I STARTED SQUEALING AT 7:02
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR TALKING ABOUT THE CHARACTER DESIGNS
As an artist, the variety in body types, skin, hair, and eyes in Inazuma Eleven is by far the diverse I've seen compared to anime and that amazes me so much creatively. Thank you for making this awesome video!❤❤❤
Man, I am honestly so happy that there are people like you out there appreciating this saga that made my childhood and that of the little Italians around me. Have you been playing the new game?
I haven’t got a chance to play the new game yet but the footage I’ve seen looks sick so I’m hoping for the best, and thanks for the support!
how does this not have more views, this video is so good. You can feel the love behind the video
ngl that show made my entire childhood, i have basically all games, watched the show at least 30 times, and yet i never get tired of it.
Greatest Raimon Player to ever touch the field
Nathan Swift the goat I fear

“this show doesn’t do that”
and shows 3 S-tier hissatsu techniques (visually)

oh you just did not play the inazuma eleven go game trilogy, they are now russian, french and hispanic too
First use of devil's hand is one of hypest moments in anime for me
2 years late but thank you for making this video. Inazuma Eleven has been a huge part of my life since childhood and it's always nice to see others who find the same enjoyment from it that I do, especially considering how small the fanbase is. I love this series and I always will
this video exactly conveys how i feel about this series as a whole even the uk dub lmaooo. really good video overall bro! hoping more ppl see this and give the series a watch!!
This mf really used BAKUNETSU STORM and TENKUU OTOSHI, two of the coolest shots in the entire series, to introduce it.
Nice.
Tenku otoshi
@@XAsh_blackthanks, I mistook the move.
1:17 This is the peak moment of this video
Man, this show brought up great memories from my childhood. Great video, keep it up!
the thing i like the most about inazuma eleven is how it inspire you to evolve, which in most part of the season raimon/inazuma japan are the underdogs and evolve as the season goes on and even during the matches, and this culminates in the last FFI game
every little giants players were based on the first raimon mainly, and they were so much better than everyone in the FFI, then comes their match with inazuma japan and of course they were dominating them, but once inazuma japan ties the game it forces the little giants realize they were wrong and make them evolve also, with the entire match being both teams surpassing themselves until the end
Inazuma was the best and is the best childhood sports show even now its still the best sports show
Me several years ago: Football and an RPG? What's the worst that could happen?
Me now: VIVTORY ROAD WHEN *replays IE3 and GO3 to bridge thegap*
The RUclips algorithm brought me here. I love the way you convey your thoughts and humour, had me smiling the whole video. I am so happy to see Inazuma Eleven get some love despite it's rocky road after the OG series.
Amazing to see that the show still gets love. I enjoyed so much when I was younger. Tanks for the moment ❤
Omfg, inazuma eleven is my childhood this video is awesome, i always thought the games came from the show
So that's why everyone liked Chrono Trigger.
This anime built our passion towards football and to this day we still talk about those special moves and techniques.❤
I cried a lot watching this video and listening to those tracks once again
Such an amazing show
RUclips needs content like this. Come back
the inazuma game i liked the most was the one that came out on Wii, with the scenario where we meet mark's grandson from the future
This anime holds a very special place in my childhood thank you for making such a banger video for it, I cant believe you only have a hundred subs‼️
thank you for making this video!! its kind of like the introduction videos other franchises get, but thats also really nice for nostalgia freaks. this def deserves more attention
wauw i am suprised u only have 2 vids. this one was very good and i agree
OG Inazuma 11 Japanese anime is excellent at what it tries to do,
... The animé was an adaptation of the game?! I thought it was the other way around my whole life
The spanish voice acting is the typical semi-cringe anime dub but... it has its charm, we all grew up with the dubbed anime on TV and THE OPENINGS ARE GODDDD
if you sing "arriba, chuta, la victoria es tuya" on the street on Spain, someone is gonna follow you 100% (if they don't think you're crazy or smth)
Clicked cause: Gotta support the GOAT
Stayed cause: Holy Shit OD this is so good, I really hope you start making content again, this was not only super entertaining, but also really heartfelt. 💯💯💯
Thanks Vince I really appreciate it, I’m really glad you enjoyed it!
First of all great video man, it deserves many more views. I loved Inazuma Elevn too as a kid and I both watched the anime and grinded the games so hard but I always thought that the games were made after the anime and not the opposite. You blew my mind lol
Inazuma Eleven games are Strategy games with a football disguise
11:34 well well well, do I have a series for you… (inazuma eleven go galaxy)
"If you guess football, holy f*ck do you want a medal ?" That line just killed me 🤣
The inazuma Eleven games are my fav games of all time, the anime is so awesome very good animations and syncros
This series is one of my favourites happy to see it get shown to this many people really amazing video
The dragon ball of sports anime
I’m happy to have discovered this precious video 2 years after its released. Really GOOD WORKS !

@@Nixahma bro jij WEET 💯
I've been watching this since the day it came out on Dutch TV when I was like 10 or something. Since then I never stopped loving this anime
And I love the wackiness especially when I'm super stoned haha
its sad to see you only have 2 videos because you defintly have the talent to become a youtuber i laughed alot during this video and you told the story in your own way perfectly even gave me alot more inside about inazuma eleven
Got a new project on the way since I’ve finally had the time to work on them again, so keep an eye out for that, and thank you!
The spanish dub and localization was amazing
Man I can still remember, me and my younger brother exiting school, running back home so we could watch the show before it ends. Buying snacks on the way home and singing along with the intro, it is one of our most precious memories together, especially for us being Brazilians where football (soccer) is very popular in general.
Why did I not see this sooner, I remember binge watching this and the nostalgia hit me again. Great video man.
