For the shocks, tip : Yeah racing 11cm Desert Lizards with medium or hard inner springs for the front. 4-hole pistons and 200 cps oil. Those Sand tires look ACE! The Ryft has the looks of those mad contraptions they use in Scandinavia to climb massive sand hills. Love it.
I may have to try them but my issue is I want it to sit low but still have .75” up travel but the battery tray gets in the way with the axle top links. I’m considering using a shorty 4S from Helios, putting in one of those battery adjusters and cutting the front area out for link clearance.
Yes I know this is an older vid. This is the best ryft video you've ever made! I love the sand paws and the low stance. I also like that it still has the stock axle housings. I'm on a pretty tight budget and probably won't upgrade to vitavon axles for that reason. This vid is amazing man! Thanks for putting the effort into making it.👍🤙
Awesome. If right budget is a concern just replace with a stock housing, you may not break them. The most important thing here is to simply enjoy the hobby
That car owes you nothing after this video!!!! I don't know how you didn't end up with a blown shock seal, broken axle, or at least a exploded spindle. Those launches and landings were insane!!!!!!!
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot the account password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Gibson Ahmed Thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
Impressive!! It looks more planted now that you have changed to the small wheels and the front suspension mod. As you have the sway bar fitted to illuminate the torque twist, next experience will be slapping on a 4s LiPo and see if it can splint past water surface with those sand paws. Hehe... you will make my day if you do that.
Although the Ryft is a wonderfully detailed, $500 'Scaler' the body(so to speak) is far stronger and seemingly immune to the road rash and stress cracks so common to the Lexan bodies on most 'Bashers". I wonder how it will hold up when that sadistic Brit starts moon-launching it at the cement skate park? His poor truck will need tungsten steel or titanium axle housings to survive his level of turpitude. Thanks for the advice on installing the Glitch-buster. A Savox 1231 had been in my TRX-4 for a year with zero issues. Suddenly I was having issues, brown-outs, etc. I replace it with a NEW 1230 servo and the "issues" continued. The Glitch-buster has (so far)seemed to remedy these issues.
Looking good i really wish I hurry to get out of hospital where I can drive mine . But it will be a while . I had a Massive heart attack had open heart surgery yesterday and now just have to.restart over on everything ..
There we go my man!! Been waiting for ya to put BEATDOWN in the title! Id say you did a awesome job to boot! Ya one upped my RYFT BEATDOWN video. Mines still box stock looks like i got some upgrades to do and film beatdown #2😂🤝👊👍
That’s pimped out. I broke my front axel. Back order till July! So I found a aluminum tube to fit in the axle perfect fit and then JB welded it. Think going to be stronger then before. Hopefully. And broke my rear trailing arm. Getting that tomorrow hopefully. Don’t break an axle I guess. I’m doing the metal tube thing when I get my new one in July. Oh crap I need those aluminum ones!!
Have you contacted horizon..?, I believe there is revised axles and a customer care plan for you guys with broken axles to get sorted 1st. Or are they the axle housing your waiting for.? Cheers👍
@@ruger1420 it's definitely warranty mate... 100% call them, I believe they will get you sorted promptly. Harley designs did a news piece on it in this weeks scale news update. He might even have a link in description... check it out Cheers
So what motor does Holmes recommend over the one you used, the link doesn't work, you get an opps on Holmes web site, although the 540 your running sure seems to be doing the trick!
FYI, I don't think all the links you provided are correct. The Amazon and Horizon Hobby links are to the PRO10160-10, not the PRO1186-10 that you are using. I didn't realize and ordered the PRO10160-10 tires for my Ryft. They are smaller diameter and 2" wide, not 2.7".
What’s up brother, how are you doing? great video always love your videos very educational. I wanted to ask you for some help brother. I wanted to see if you can help me find some rims for my losi lmt that are compatible I’m looking for some black rims if you can help me choose.
Before putting on the Vitavon axles why don’t you try to break the stock ones. I have a hunch that your temperature there in Florida helps with keeping the molecules in the plastic further apart and less prone to breakage
Wow, formula offroad! Way better than rock bouncing!
Glad to see I'm not the only one to have changed the wheels and tires out
The guy that cuts the grass probably loves you man lol!😂👈🧱🧱💪💪🧨🧨
LOL I've considered making my kraton into a mower.... a really fast one....

You are the Man ! That machine fly’s under control now 👍🏻 new axles are going to get you in trouble 😂 no more restrictions
Wow that thing looks awesome with the paddle tires on there looks like one of those volcanic ash climbers you see on RUclips
Formula off-road rigs.
That's the best I've seen one run so far.
Heck yeah made it into the video as a guest appearance 😎
lol YEP!!
Love them sandpaws.

Finally a proper run ✊🏽✊🏽 Mr. legend!!
LoL yeah. Got my Vitavon axles in!!
Just saw tha quickie ✊🏽✊🏽
Looks sweet with paddles, much like a formula off road truck they have in Scandinavia
Yeah I like these on here but I also like them on the Lasernut. LoL I don’t need MORE tires. LoL.
@@ExocagedRC but more is always better! 🤣
Formula awesomeness!!!!
Ohhhhhhh man!!!!! I’m jealous!!!! Beach trip next month and I know what wheel n tire set up I’ll need!!!!

thats one awesome duck!!!

So far I have had my smt10 for 3 months with a brushless system and have had no issues with the rear arms

Looking forward to seeing you upgrade it I need a reason to find fath in it because it's testing my patience with it's problems
some did not come with good plastics
My rear trailing arm broke yesterday. Weeks before the replacement come.
Vitavon has them about ready, nice billet 7075 for 42 bucks.
Flip the rear lower arms upside down. I did it with my yeti
I can't see that happening at all with this
Where did you get the straps

What size rim did you go with those for them sand paws And what size tires
Proline 2.8 sand paws. They are premounted.
I wonder when we will be able to get our hands on the aluminium axles from Vitavon
PM Arthur Tsang and you can get some in 3 days
@@ExocagedRC really? How do I find that? I wonder if they will ship to UK.

well, I show them at the end of the video
hello I'm writing from Switzerland the tie rods you put on the rear arms are optional that you can buy, or made by you?

My friend's broke so doubt it. Mine has been fine. We are both in FL. Been running it in similar temperature days.
I honestly don't know how you haven't broke the front axle yet. I think you are the only one lol.
Me neither man. I guess I just haven’t landed perfectly wrong yet.
I bet with smaller tyres, the Ryft will crawl. :)
the Ryft has so many flaws. It does not run good in bone stock. If it needs another couple hundred bucks to make it run great, just forget it.
Lol... Using ratchet straps to compress the suspension and lowering the car. Fucking ghetto 😆😆
