Good morning 🙏 ❤beautiful family
BTW, Rachel, i keep forgetting to tell you how much i LOVE the flowers Tattoo on your arm, very very pretty ❤🌸🌺
Thank you so much 😀
❤😊❤ Russell is getting so big!
The wisteria is a gorgeous crawling vibe and it’s got nothing nearby to hold onto 😮😅❤😊
Well heck you never know…😊
I think Russel looks so handsome 📸
Wow, Russell is getting big. And Kora is just angry at smeegle for trying to steal her snack lol, she'll get over it. The hens are doing well. With their pretty colours of egg's too. ❤✌️🦘
I had Rose of Sharon at my house. The dried flowers have the seeds. I planted the seeds and they grew into bushes. I had them everywhere. They were different colors too, the bees must have pollinated them from other bushes. 😅❤ They have beautiful flowers.
Wisteria is beautiful 😊
That kind of wisteria is a lot like honey suckle it will take over. It also puts out more through its rut system. Just so u know. Thanku for being u and doing what u do 🐾❤️🐝
I didn't want to comment anything negative, so: I love the new plants, especially the ones for the bees. I would like to make a suggestion about your cypress tree though. I like it too, but I think it's too close to your house. If you look at how wide the tree is supposed to be when it's full grown, divide that by 2, add 1 ft or, 12 inches, then that is how far away from your house it should be planted right now. That gives the tree enough room to grow nice and big and round instead of having to bow at the top or press against your house when it's full grown. Sorry for being negative - you are doing such a great job and your yard and animals always look so good!
Wisteria has a heavenly smell.
Its either a climber or ive seen people make the stalk get tree thick.whenbit gets big, the wisteria hangs over like an umbrella. Very hardy inin penna.good luck with it.😂😂❤❤❤
.
Honeysuckle will attract your Hummingbirds. They will nest in it, too. I had a yellow and white one at one home. I sat on the porch with my coffee and one would come hover near me. I had also planted some tomatoes and bell peppers nearby and the hummingbirds would hover over the top of me. What a blessing. I just love them. ❤❤❤
Th÷ rose of sharon after the flowers. Sometimes the bud leaves behind a seed pod. You can scatter the seeds from the pod i N the grass or where you want them to grow. Just protect the area where you threw the seeds down and wait for them to grow. Sometimes after they flower don't trim them and they will drop their seeds and plant themselves.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That was cute Kevin. “I was waiting for some seeds to hatch from it” in reference to the Rose of Sharon. You been dealing with your chicks too much😁
Enjoyed your video and seeing the animals ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Ok but listen.
My dog loves your channel!! Every time I watch your video on my regular tv, he's watching. He watched this one and when you zoomed in on the dogs eating, he started drooling!! 😂😂😂 I posted it on my dogs tiktok!
😊💕Mojo 💕
Big Mo ❤ never misses a meal 😂😊
Boy do I wish I could send you pictures. Rose of Sharon spread like rabbits having babies. They are taking over every side of my back yard. The hummingbirds love them too. The island down the street has so many of them that neighbors clip them back because they are taking over down there. Wisteria is beautiful and you can put something behind it so it can grow what ever you put there. We started to put veggies in the raised garden beds and then certain places in Maryland got frost. They always say wait until Mother's Day to plant. We started the seeds inside and veggies were growing so big. Frost didn't hurt us this time. Good luck with your planting. May the Lord continue to Bless you and your family and friends and your critters.🙏🙏🕊️ Peace and Love 💕 from Maryland ❤
Hi Kevin and Rachel, I am stil liking the new video camera. Boy Kora did try to get Smeagol. I could see it when he was walking up to the fence and she was stone cold watching him. You might want to make that fence a little more safer LOL for the critters on the other side LOL Love you guys God bless and until next time take care
I would my dog no matter what happened I would search for her. Something happened to her. Poor baby. Don't give up looking for her
Maybe she was trying to train him ❤❤❤❤❤
Kevin, take cuttings from the new spring growth on your Rose of Sharon about 4-10" long. Strip off most of the leaves but leave the top ones on the cutting. You can dip the stem in rooting hormone powder and either push the cutting into a container with sterile soil (like seed starting mix) or some people are able to just poke them in the ground where you want them and they should take. So you don't have to wait another year, I'd try both ways. Tip is every place on the stem where a leaf was is where it will set root, so it makes sense to cut the 10" ones to go in the ground and shorter ones in a clear plastic cups and you'll be able to see the roots to know when to plant them. Just keep them slightly damp until they're established. Good luck! Blessings, Texas Deb ❤️
Take your cuttings and put them in a glass jar of water. It will take a few months for them to develop roots. If the water gets foggy looking, take the stems out and rinse them off under cool running water ( tap water is fine).Rinse the jar out and p👍😊ut fresh water in the jar and put the stems back in it. You need to keep them in a sunny place and keep the water at the same level.
Hiya Kevin n Rachel..yes you have storms coming in..they are talking about some hail in areas..I love this new camera you have..it's so clear..I've already seen your video ..boy can your daughter fish .dinner was on her .lol .the other day when you were videoing..n the fire trucks sirens were going .they were heading to Sean's creek property..I'm in the northeast.. hopefully no one is planting..because we are going to have a cold snap come in..north of me they are calling for snow..in April we've had snow before..so it's nothing new .
If you want more Rose of Sharon, just cut a few small length of limb 12" or so that has a few buds. Place in a bucket of water for about a week and they will root out quickly. And just plant them and keep them watered. They will grow like crazy. Btw some of the flowers or buds need picked off and under the water. Good luck ❤
Rachel that is a great idea about a feeding station for the dogs. I was sad to see Kora lunge at the cat. Had it been a child hitting another child the child would be put in time out! I love the plants. I really love the honeysuckle for sure. 🤗🤗💞💞💙💙
Kora is just going through postpartum.....she'll get right, if Smeegle is fast enough til then....🙏😘
Hi Kevin and Rachel. I am a new subscriber to your channel from New Jersey!! I do not live on a farm but love goats and dogs!! I love your farm and how you take such great care of all your animals❤️. I have been watching a lot of your past videos and loved when Cora gave birth to her puppies!! I also love how you both are very down to earth people and share with us your feelings and the day to day life on the farm. I do like you showing us all the animals especially the 2 Emmu 😂.
Hello from rainy Yorkshire UK. Just thought I'd mention Wisteria is best climbing an arch or wall. Needs support. Hope it does well for you. You seem to have similar weather to us. Good luck with your plans. 😊
Cora's head went all the way through that fence......Smeegal run!!!!!!
❤❤HI Rachel & Kevin & all sweet animals
I am in western North Carolina, and we still have blackberry winter coming. It will be cooler than normal for about a week and that should be the last cold spell of this year. Don’t get your paint it Wallmark’s. It takes too much paint and it doesn’t cover good. God bless the family. Glad it’s almost summer time for the kids.
If you want Rose of Sharon, clip off a stem, use a big screwdriver to poke a hole in the dirt where you want the trees, stick the stem in the hole, & water it. They grow FAST!! That's ALL you have to do. We had them at our house in KY, & this was how we planted them. They grew like crazy& every year would grow up taller than our roof!!!
Cora looks whiter than ever!
Kora has lovely colours ❤them all
I can’t believe how fast Russel is growing! Next time Cora lunges at Smeagle, or anything on your farm - don’t pet her, scold her with a firm loud “CORA, NO!”, because by petting her, you’re basically telling her that it was ok to lunge at Smeagle, dogs don’t understand vocabulary, but she would understand your actions. ❤️
Absolutely correct!
Totally agree!
True.
Yes
You should fill the base up with either water or sand so it's nit as likely to fall over and get damaged
Love Smeegle he's so handsome ! All the animals look great ! Pretty eggs you gathered !
Yes! New camera great pictures! boy Russell is getting so big, he is a beauty He is fitting right in with all the farm animals, he is going to be a great protector of the farm animals! Cora, sure got upset with Smeagle, never seen her do that before. You guys sure have beautiful guard dogs. Loved all your new plants. Your farm is looking good! I too want to plant some garden vegetables also, wanting to try out the tomatoes you mentioned. (cherokee purple.) Love all of guys, such nice people, God bless you all and keep you safe and all your animals!
The blues purples and wisteria will go nicely together ❤
Plant some tobacco plants,( not for the tobacco) bee's and butterflies love it.
Cherokee Purple tomatoes are my go to tomato!!! I love them. 😍😍😍
So yummy
If i saw it correctly -- Rachel has excellent taste in vehicles!! (It looks like she drives a Kia...and I *love* my Inferno Red 2023 Kia Soul named "Baby").
❤ Chickens are trying to make up for lost time!😂
Your wife has good ideas you need to listen to her
She sure does! Kevin can't help being a man! lol
Hello Kevin and Rachel. Those catfish looked awesome. I miss fishing. The crocs are easier to clean if you step in things you don't want to track in your home. lol Eggs of plenty, Have a blessed weekend. Catch more fish.
We live in SC and humming birds love rose of Sharon ❤❤❤
Kora needs to be taught that it is not okay, for two reasons. One the safety of Smeagle and two for the safety of Russel. If she gets that way over Smeagle stealing her treats, then she might even turn on her own pup Russel for stealing her food. Mom instincts in dogs only goes so far once they get bigger. Please look out for Smeagle and Russel. Would hate to see anything bad happen to either of them from an over protective Food Driven Kora.
Wisteria is an invasive like kudzu. It’s beautiful but can destroy the trees around it. It’s most beautiful in the desert where it doesn’t spread. 😮 love your videos.
Thanks for sharing.💙🩷💙🩷
Hey Kevin and Rachel, that's a great choice of flowering bushes!
I love a Sping flowering bush🌺.
I just put in some bulbs for large flowering bushes?
They are supposed to bring in the Butterflys and Hummers🎉.
Smeegle better watch is furry butt😳!
Cora is looking great😍.
Lots of eggs🎉.
JO JO IN VT 💞
FRUIT CRAB APPLE TREE IS GREAT FOR BEES AND HUMMINGBIRDS PLUS THEY MAKE GREAT JELLY AND APPLE JUICE ALONG WITH APPLE SAUCE AND PIES
Rose of Sharon has seed pods Kevin just collect the blooms when dry and spread them anywhere you what the plants
OH WOW - Watch Cora with my little buddy Smeegle
Please move the newly planted cypress tree at least 20-30 feet away from your house. Cypress trees have very large roots. A house foundation and masonry are no match for cypress tree roots. That will destroy your foundation. Check with the vet to make sure it’s bark isn’t toxic for the goats. Love your posts.
I love the Cherokee purple tomatoes , they taste like the old tomatoes I remember.
Take a look at Raventree Ranch they have the absolute best lgd crew i have ever seen. Bo, Lilly and Judge are 3 prime examples of what every lgd can and should be!! There cat Luna aka recon cat is a huge part of there team and they respect her at ALL times!!!
My rose of Sharon spread pretty fast. If you don't mow under them next spring you should see some sprouts.
Very concerned for Smeagle!
Mojo needs brushing. Thank you❣️ 🐾
Keep the roots of that wisteria contained, or they will spread all over, and climb your trees, too. But they sure are beautiful! Best to you!
Russel is growing so fast ❤️ He's so cute when he wants to be with Mom and Dad to eat 😁 That was a surprise when Cora went after Smee-gul . Sending prayers and blessings your way ❤️❤️ God bless the family 💝🙏🙏🙏
That was scary. Hope she never gets out. She might hurt Mo.
To stop birds from flying into a window, put a few window clings on the window. Dollar tree usually has them. The birds can't tell the window is there. The windows must be really clean
Wisteria is my absolute favorite for climbing and trellis flowers. The bees DO love it and it’s just so beautiful.
Please don't let Cora kill that cat. I think when you pet her right after she lunged at him you probably reinforced that bad behavior. "You pet it you get it." Smeegle (sp?) is the sweetest cat and it would be awful if she got him. She wasn't messing around.
Wisteria does get massive got 4 of them they do need strong support my rose of sharon spreeds like wildfire through seeds be safe hope the storm is not that bad 🙏🙏🙏all the best ❤😊❤😊
Cora is looking in great condition and bounced back really well after the puppies. You guys did a fantastic job looking out for Cora all through her pregnancy and after, it really shows that your animals are like our furbabies and fed only the best to keep them healthy. People often say that it’s too expensive to get good food but at least our babies aren’t needing vet visits 😹🤞. Love watching the animals on your videos especially Mr Smiggles, he’s got personality overload. I also like what protection you gave your goose and babies and Miss Betty and chicks that kept them from harm or worse death. God bless your family, farm and friends. Cheers from Australia. 🦋🙏🫶🇦🇺
Cut (or lollypop the bottom branches), be generous when you dip in ROSE ROOT grower,(I use white bottle with purple top)... Place in miracle grow potting soil(yellow bag so roots can breath n shoot out lots of roots... I use a clear cup to grow in so I can see growth then later place in forever spot... Hope it helps...
Wisteria is my favorite plant. Its Hungarian name is lilaakác. 😊 It can run everywhere if you don't keep it under control. You can form it in many ways. 💜
Russell so big niw my god puppy's grow so fast 😫 😊
Rose of Sharon has pods that drop seeds n they propagate there selves, if are weeding under the tree you are cutting down the small beginnings of trees!
God bless your family and farm ❤🙏💓🙏🙏
Have a great night😊
Wow I can't believe Cora did that to cat, all videos I've watched Cora let cat by her. That was scary 😨
The cypres tree needs to be planted further out from the wall. When it gets to it's full size it won't have enough space.
You need to move the Wisteria. It is a gorgeous vine that needs a tall support system. Like a large arbor.😊
The cypress tree is planted WAY too close to the house!! Please move it to at least 3 feet away from the wall. Thanks and happy growing!
We have honey suckle that is crazy also wisteria. They go crazy! Love you all so much! God bless ❤prayers
Kevin be careful with that wisteria plant. They take over I mean they will take up into the trees and take over. You must trim it every year
Rose of Sharon are often very invasive plants and will choke out the other flowers and plants around them. I think some Rose of Sharon have seeds but others don’t. It may have something to do with the variety you plant. Good luck. 🍀👍 ❤❤❤❤
The beautiful orange cowbells to are really super sweet if you can find them anymore
The honey suckle and the wisteria will climb along your fence. They both smell wonderful.
Hi Kevin, wisteria is a climber so you may need to put something up for it to climb on, or it may climb over your fence.
Only way keep the bug off your plants is buy some baking soda and eggs shell that will keeps bugs away from your plants
Adorable 🥰 ❤. Kora is protecting her food..
We did thatwhen we were kids with the wild honeysuckle too! And we had lots of wild Strawberries too 🍓.
I love Wisteria - my son didn't while he was mowing for me he cut them down - - hahaha on him - it's growing back. I have a thousand babies rose of sharons - - wish I could mail you some.
Build a strong arbor for the wisteria. It gets huge and needs support.
The wisteria will grow into your fence and tear it down, you might consider building a sturdy wooden trellis for it to grow on
Great video most enjoyable thanks. Chris from England
I’m not sure how fast things grow where you are but on the east coast wisteria is a problem it gets very invasive and will tear down stuff like fences. Rose of Sharon are difficult too the ones I’ve seen seed themselves and the next thing you know they are everywhere! Things grow differently though in different parts of the country. Please don’t put the hummingbird feeders near the windows hang them out on the eves where the cats can’t reach them and there are appliqués you can get to stick on windows that keep birds from crashing into them. I found some stained glass type framed things to set in the windows it works really well and looks nice. Don’t the cats get the baby chickens? Russel is growing nicely
Hi Kevin and Rachel. Kevin reach out to Jason from Cog Hill . He could probably tell you how to do the rose clippings
I agree that you should have told Cora NO! When shen started after Smeagle. Animals do know vocabulary. My cat does as did my horses. A pat means you did well, not a reprimand
Rose of Sharron are great, we feed their flowers to our Tortoises as well as our Livestock. Your goats would probably enjoy them as well!
Regarding the chicken tractor: the bungee toggles, Fix them with the black toggle on the inside. It'll stop the geese and Emu's from pecking at them
My Aunt gave a Rose of Sharon branch to my mom and she just planted it in her yard, kept it watered and it grew into a huge bush!
Russel is GROWING!
Rose of Sharon attract hummingbirds as well as wisteria. Be sure to build some kind of strong support for the wisteria to grow on and high enough to protect the flower buds before blooming. I had a female cat who thought the buds were hummers as their shape is similar so she'd keep knocking them off only to be disappointed. 😂 You should also provide something for the honeysuckle to grow on. Look forward to seeing all three in bloom. My Rose of Sharon attracts ants but they've caused no damage.
drape some clear plastic over the garden fence supports at night raise the temp to keep your plants from freezing.
