Great tribute to Sonny, and a tragic ending for him. My folks lived in Palm Desert while he was Mayor of Palm Springs (and during his tenure as a congressman), he did great things for the community and environs. He was approachable too, very genuine. Thank you for saluting Sonny!

It wasn't an accident. Sonny was an excellent skier. There wasn't a dent in the tree, which there would have been, if he had slammed into it.
He was going to expose some people, and the Powers That Be, got rid of him.

At the time of his death he was congressman investigating what happened at WACO Texas. It was interesting going back and watching the videos of him grilling Janet Reno. I watched a few different documentaries on him and his accomplishments..and he was truly a God Send and had a heart of gold.
I will never forget Cher's eulogy at his funeral..which was very heartfelt and true.

Many years ago I worked in Reno Nevada in Emergency Road Service and had a towing contract with the Sparks Police Department. One day I call over to the dispatch and had a nice conversation with one of the dispatchers. For some reason we started talking about Sonny Bono and his accident at Heavenly. During this conversation she tells me that his body was not actually taken to to the Lake Tahoe Police morgue but to their department to keep it away from the press. Always thought that was very interesting. Never told anyone this until now.

Jean Bono (Sonny's Mom) thought his death was not an accident. Others say he was pistol whipped and dumped next to a tree. The truth is he would have struck the boulders and a horizontal tree trunk laying in front of that tree first. Personally, I find it interesting his ski hat and goggles were never recovered.

Thank you Jordan for doing this vlog about Sonny Bono. I used to watch the Sonny and Cher show when it was on. Just so happened that I watched an episode of Murder She Wrote that Sonny guested on. I remember watching the news report when he had passed away after that skiing accident and watching part of the funeral on tv. Too bad the building were his restaurant was isn’t there anymore. I bet his food was really good. I think he did a lot of good things for Palm Springs as mayor and was doing good things in Congress when he passed. Mary Bono stepped up to continue his work in Congress. He was truly special.

I do agree with Sonny music was different in the 60s than 70s. You had more physcodelic music in the 60s than 70s. 60s had more harmony. Like Sonny and Cher and Peter Paul and Mary type of music.

Fantastic vlog and tribute to Sonny Bono, Jordan. My twin sister and I used to tune into the Sonny and Cher Show when it was on and it was great the costumes, guests and banter between the two of them. I had the privilege of seeing Cher the last time she came to Winnipeg and she did a mini tribute to the Sonny and Cher show complete with the go-go boots and her singing "the beat goes on". After they broke up it was nice to see Sonny become successful in his own right in politics and as a restaurateur. They just don't make variety shows like theirs anymore. 💋Great Vlog! I am too young to remember when the show aired but I actually do remember hearing about when he passed away. Cher is a fashion icon and beautiful. I got you babe is an adorable song! You always do great tribute videos. Blessings. ~Love&Light💖Carli

I've always been a fan of Sonny and Cher and "I Got You Babe" was one of my first 45s. I remember their wild hair, striped bell bottoms, wide belts and fur vests. As much as he cared for Cher, I do believe his second wife Mary was the true love of his life. Years ago I enjoyed dinner at their restaurant in Palm Springs. Thanks for telling his story, Jordan! Great vlog!
