If this is true it'd check out because YG claimed BP was going to debut with 8 singles/music videos. Even so I think people oversell this company on the "quality over quantity" front -- BP is 2 years into their debut without so much as a proper mini album, that's not "quality over quantity," it's neglectful and it's bad management. The same can be said for tons of YG groups and soloists tbh and it's really unfair to them. I'm trying to enjoy this comeback without thinking too much but who knows how long it'll really take to hear from the girls again after this promotional cycle ends? Because they go so long between singles it's hard for them to develop a truly distinctive style or level of comfort with performing...I want them to eventually be a group capable of producing and composing their own music the same way YGE extends those freedoms to their boy groups but it seems they're destined for the same short end of the stick as the girls before them :( I want to be wrong about that tbh but this isn't impressive to me...it's actually really worrying that they were sitting on this song for almost three years and just decided to toss it onto BP's first mini and it really speaks to how rushed/ill-thought out this comeback was. This couldn't feel further from a year's worth of work and I'm impressed with how well the girls have done with the material they were given in spite of things being so clearly half assed. If this is true it'd check out because YG claimed BP was going to debut with 8 singles/music videos. Even so I think people oversell this company on the "quality over quantity" front -- BP is 2 years into their debut without so much as a proper mini album, that's not "quality over quantity," it's neglectful and it's bad management. The same can be said for tons of YG groups and soloists tbh and it's really unfair to them. I'm trying to enjoy this comeback without thinking too much but who knows how long it'll really take to hear from the girls again after this promotional cycle ends? Because they go so long between singles it's hard for them to develop a truly distinctive style or level of comfort with performing...I want them to eventually be a group capable of producing and composing their own music the same way YGE extends those freedoms to their boy groups but it seems they're destined for the same short end of the stick as the girls before them :( I want to be wrong about that tbh but this isn't impressive to me...it's actually really worrying that they were sitting on this song for almost three years and just decided to toss it onto BP's first mini and it really speaks to how rushed/ill-thought out this comeback was. That means even less time went into this promo cycle than we'd originally thought.

Even if that's not the case I just can't shake how rushed this comeback felt...even some of the teaser images were photos of computer monitors showing the album jacket photos being edited! This couldn't feel further from a year's worth of work and I'm impressed with how well the girls have done with the material they were given in spite of things being so clearly half assed. Idk, perhaps I'm overly critical lol but I'm not a company stan and I think YG fully deserves to be criticized for mismanagement and spreading production staff so thin. BP clearly has all the potential in the world to go big but they get treated like an afterthought and it's affecting the girls' ability to do their jobs.
