One of the things I’ve realized in modern gaming, is that single player games are dying but whenever they come along, they’re often incredible, or at least very good. *sigh* Hope that gaming doesn’t turn into monetization and multiplayer only. We need some solid single player titles and The Outer Worlds gives me hope that we will keep seeing more of these types of games in the future, with great development teams. I praise Obsidian for this outstanding game and hope we get a sequel or a similar game in the near future.
Bethesda are the newest form of cancer in the industry. Used to make great games once upon a time...now they're just another EA/Activison/Ubisoft. Scummy companies.
I just did a new playthrough of New Vegas and prioritized intelligence and speech... That was one of the most fun and crazy playthroughs I've done so far.
@@MrBEEOUTCH if gaming companies are making steps In the right direction in 2019 but not before hand then that makes me still scratch my head and still say WTH give us what we want already.
You joke, but Activision did make $4 billion off of microtransactions in 2017. So while Obsidian has the community behind it, apparently, the "MTX"-crowd has money.
Note to Bethesda: This is what happens when you don't allow a developer to make a sequel to one the best games in your catalogue. They go and make their own better game that completely excels the game you've pumped out. Please learn from this Bethesda!
Lol NV is phenomenal but there wasn't room for a sequel. Maybe Bethesda could have let Obsidian develop another Fallout game but really, I suspect they only gave Obsidian NV because they needed another game to hold Fallout fans over until 4 came out and Obsidian already had their canceled plans from Van Buren so they already had a story ready. At that point, since most of the assets were already there, it only made sense for Bethesda to capitalize off of that. Quit trying to create some stupid rivalry between the companies. Obsidian has said they highly respect Bethesda and hold no ill will toward them. Both companies are absolutely fantastic and the rivalry that "fans" try to create between them is entirely made up.
I love outerworlds, I like how obsidion has kept some similarities with the game from others like the dialogue and amazing gun play~ it's really well rounded and it feels like a game that was actually mafe with love and soul and it's full of potential! And the soundtrack is absolutely stunning I really like the main theme of outer worlds. I'd love to make some cons but I just can't say any so far maybe I'm to distracted by the fact that a legitimate game was made here without the intentions of getting money or just being sloppy, it's been a lomg time and I can say that this is a game that has been needed for a very long time. Let it be another example of what a product looks like when it's crafted for the gamers and not the developers or publishers greedy ambitions.
They kept nothing. They abandoned the game asap. They are just like Bethesda. They had one single shot and now, 3 years later, no one has any respect for them.

i personally love this game, the play has SO MUCH CHOICE, there's so many ways to take on every aspect of the game, everything from fighting to character, and while i agree with the largest con i've heard of the game, being that gameplay wise it doesn't do anything new, i dont see that as a problem ( like calling out call of duty games, they have a formula and by god it works so why not use it) because it's still incredibly fun, but the story, missions and fighting give you so much choice its incredibly freeing.

Just finished my first playthrough of this game and I certainly would recommend it. It feels like an updated, improved and far more polished (and visually pleasing) successor to Fallout New Vegas with some Mass Effect sci-fi vibes. I can't wait to finish work so I can start my second playthrough later today. The one thing tip I would absolutely give to beginners is this: play it on Hard or Supernova difficulty, because 'normal' is WAY too easy.
Story mode and normal is great for people who like storylines over combat, while difficult and supernova is great for combat lovers. Which makes great replays, if you wanna switch up the type of game you wanna play.
Supernova difficulty is a blast! That early game is humbling (and sadly some perma lost allies will not be journeying on) but once you get your character established a bit it's a great balanced challenge!
Yeah, bullet sponge games urk me big time. It works in a game like elder scrolls because you're using magic and swords ect. Not in shooters, especially not an fps.
I bought the game at release and gave it a look see then put it away until I had time to really sink into it. First impressions was far too colorful. It's just too bright and whimsical like No Mans Sky for me aesthetically. Game play is nice and solid. Stealth is too easy. Not a lot of crafting. Put it in now during quarantine to give it a real solid shot and BAM! It is still too colorful. The game is solid. The characters you meet are amazing. The builds are good. Alot to discover if your an adventure type. I'm not even half way through the game from what I know of it and it is great. Well worth the price. Biggest plus. It is a complete polished game. No bad bugs or crashes. Take note Bethesda. I'm a huge fan of Fallout 4 but its awfully buggy. Take the time to polish the code and you can still beat this game with the next Fallout installment of the series. Thanks for another great Before You Buy vid guys.

Which reminds me, i should probably go play NV for another 6 hours just to be sure I end on a good note.

You joke, but Activision did make $4 billion off of microtransactions in 2017. So while Obsidian has the community behind it, apparently, the "MTX"-crowd has money.
Note to Bethesda:
This is what happens when you don't allow a developer to make a sequel to one the best games in your catalogue.

@@Jonathan-fx4jc i did as well 😁 it renewed on month to month 3 days ago lol
Mellee is actually pretty cool, depending on when u use the special attack/strong attack it does a swing across or down
It feels like dishonored the melee. The gun play is fallout.
"Crouching down hiding in bushes avoiding enemies and stealing stuff" ya that tends to be the stealth elements in every first person RPG, considering the games lowish budget smaller team and lack of overall resources then I'd say they did an admirable job with the stealth..
My first act was to start killing everyone to see if it breaks the game. It doesn't. Couldn't help it because no essential npc's.
Boost your dialogue as much as you can ! It helped me get through a lot of situations pretty quickly witout fighting and paying money
Correct! Much like their prior games, dialogue is a BIG deal
No fighting? Sounds like lost XP to me..!
10:10 I think Bethesda is doing a pretty amazing job marketing The Outer Worlds to us atm :)
It's not them it's obsidian
@@itssmee1597 he might have been joking as Bethesda shot themselves in the foot with FO76 and that gained attention to Outerworlds, which released a trailer a week or so after FO76 launched
@@Jonymankitty this is the second time I've looked like a dumbass this week.

i'm about 5 hours in and i'm loving it so far, i love how many small decisions can impact things along the way. i turned up for these kinda games when skyrim came out so i never got to see obsidians take with new vegas so im new to this type of rpg, and its blowing my mind how much more engaging i find it than skyrim or fallout 4
First 2 hours have been great; looking forward to playing more.
I have this on game pass, i'd definitely recommend this to anyone who likes fallout. Or video games in general.

"If you loved Fallout New Vegas Vegas, you will probably love this."
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!!!
Thomas The Dank Engine 999.99 not including microtransactions....
There are 2 memes there and if you don’t get them your too young
Can I just say how useful this series is as a fellow Gamer.
Bethesda- no one can beat our open world story driven titles!
Obsidian- hold my beer
ah yes, the classic closed-minded bethesda
Ekel Farras don’t get me wrong I love Bethesda titles. I played 5 days on fallout 76 and lvl 76 in like a couple days. I’m just salty about the new subscription shit
@Łukasz Matysiak "If you want to build different builds"
Alright so they that to the companion system, different ways of going about quest, different outcomes, AND different endings. All of that for 30 hours of gameplay, more if you mess around is BIG TIME better then the shit bethesda has put out. You're able to beat fallout 4 within 4 hours, and skyrim within 5.
@Łukasz Matysiak "it's kind of worse" no it isn't. Length of the game does not equal content. Quality over quantity any day.
