I totally disagree with what you’re saying. Neither one of these games has true SBMM. If they had that maybe it wouldn’t be so bad but they are both “rigged” in matches to the core! How is it SBMM in Fortnite if I am a 2.0 kd but in almost every single match I have players between 8.0 and 10.0, 11.0, and higher every time? Hell I’ve seen players in my matches that were over 100kd and have the proof to back my statements! Start checking your opponents stats and you will see. At that point when there is that much of a difference in KD you are rigging the matches and you know who is going to win. I play zero build random squads and I always see one team in the match that has a significantly higher kd than all of the other teams and they trash everyone they run into. Epic is simply choosing when they want to put you on the winning or losing end of that spectrum. That is a terrible business model and my daughter and all of her kid cousins refuse to play Fortnite any more. These dummies are so stupid they can’t make a decent game that kids will even play anymore and they are losing a lot of money because I was buying her skins on a daily basis. The other issue they fail to deal with is the amount of blatant cheating. There is cheating all over the public lobbies and they are constantly rewarding cheaters in these cups paying them money. It’s very pathetic and they have fallen off.. COD fell off a long time ago for me and I won’t even touch that trash of a game.
@@7pathsofpain625 hey there ✌️ pretty sure you're not really disagreeing with me, just adding another layer. In fact what you're describing here is exactly my experience in Cod that I described in the video. Whether you want to call this SBMM or EOMM (Which stands for Engagement Optimized Matchmaking and is more the "rigged" system that you're describing) does not really make a difference for me. I'm just tired of getting into Lobbies that are manipulated in any way. Back in the day you would just play and sometimes you had easy lobbies sometimes they were hard. And honestly that was was the fun of it - you never knew what to epxect. Nowadays 90% of your lobbies are at or above your skill-level and way too hard and the other 10% are clearly rigged so that you can pop off and feel good about yourself. Problem is, when you know that they rig the MM, neither of these experiences is satisfying...
@iHealix not if it's the truth? And people have literally already done many tests to prove it? And activision has already published patents on the exact system they're using which explicitly states that they actively manipulate matchmaking? Do your research brother it's all true...
DISCLAIMER: When I show my stats, this is not me trying to brag, rather it is to show you what kind of skill bracket you're dealing with so you can better understand where I'm at. I think this is important because I feel like most players that accept or even promote SBMM are not in as high of a skill bracket as me and thus cannot necessarily relate to the struggles I (or players of similar or even better skill level) are having on a daily basis. This is not to insult anyone, I just think this is important for transparency.
@tea-w Xdefiant shut down because of bugs, server issues and lack of content, not because they didn't use SBMM. That was (besides pretty good gameplay) actually the one good thing about the game.
So many Fortnite players are so terrible idk how they even have fun. If SBMM didnt exist in that game, id constantly be fighting players that have pathetic mechanics and knowledge compared to me, which is not fun. Also, how am I supposed to get better at a game if constantly matched with terrible players as a result of randomness? Also, what if a group of very good players squad up? They would be incredibly bored. There's no such thing as "casuals" nor "sweats" CoD multiplayer is a repetitive death simulator with no tactics involved. Zombies (especially BO4 and BO3) is the only thing that matters.
@@themelancholia you seem to forget that Ranked would still be there and this would exactly be it's purpose. The bad players stay in the lower ranks and can fight players of equally low skill there, the sweats can do the opposite in the higher ranks. If a casual player feels like he doesn't have fun in pubs they can play ranked and vice versa. Having both a true public mode without SBMM and a ranked mode with SBMM would give players the option to choose which type of game they want to play. There is literally no point in having a so-called public mode if it also has SBMM. Tell me what is the difference between pubs and ranked? In FN you have (more) bots in your matches, okay. But no one likes fighting bots anyways so why would I, as a sweaty player, EVER play pubs right now? I get the same lobbies in pubs as I get in Unreal ranked - minus the bots. Just give us the option to choose and everyone would be happy. And do you know why I am 100% sure this is true? Because up until like 5 years ago or something there was no SBMM in ALL GAMES and it was fine. Nothing has changed. Yes, the skill ceiling in the individual games have risen, sure. But so has the overall player count as Gaming is becoming more popular every year. If there truly was a random, ping-based matchmaking, not only would you have fastet loading times between each match as well as better connection, but also would you simply not encounter these incredibly skilled players - just by simple probability. It's simple math really: around 20-30% is below average, 50-60% is the average and around 20-30% are above average. Yes, in such a system, if 4 really good players squad up they're most likely gonna wreck the entire lobby. But firstly, that is, simply judging by those numbers, gonna happen very rarely and even if it still happens: what's the problem? If these 4 players are good enough to wipe the entire lobby, they have earned it. It's that simple in my opinion. Removing SBMM from publics while maintaining a good Ranked mode is just the healthiest option and satisfies all players. And as I said, if you really want to protect the very worst bracket of players, say even the low 20%, why not have a seperate matchmaking bracket for them and then everyone above that is in open matchmaking. It's really not that hard to come up with a better solution than what we currently have, but most companies just see this as the simplest solution without thinking (or even caring honestly) what it does the players.
you're so wrong about this and you don't even know. i wrote a whole paragraph and then cleared it because my cat closed chrome. i am devastated. tldr: sbmm cannot be fixed and is not the problem
@StickyGlue bro what are you even talking about with your cat 😂 also I don't give two sh*ts about my stats. I don't get people like you 😂
@@eneconFN how many people do you think are 1% of fortnite players? and how many players tracked on fortnite tracker are just alt accounts/one time players. also your 1% stat was wins, which is a cumulative stat. arguably anyone can be in that top 1% if they played enough.
