3 Days In Hanoi | Exploring The Old Quarter (Vietnam Travel)

So I have just arrived into a very wet Hanoi, after a 2 hour flight from all the way in the south of Vietnam, Saigon. I got myself a grab ride to my hotel, before heading out to buy a few basic necessities and had a little walk around to get my bearings of the old quarter where ill be staying for the next 3 nights. In this video we will visit St Joseph Cathedral before walking over to Hoan Kiem Lake, where stands turtle tower and The Temple Of The Jade Mountain. After this, I made my way over to Hanoi Train Street before trying my very first Vietnamese Pho dish. The following day I visited Hoa Lo Prison and relaxed before heading back to Saigon the following morning.

I absolutely prefer Hanoi to Saigon. There is so much more character and old world charm in the capital. I went to train street before it became this tourist hot spot today, and even then this ushering you speak of was already happening. Man, street food is so cheap in Hanoi. I caught a glimpse of Hanoi 1930 Bistro in your video... memories!

I like your big heart. Yes, four bucks is not a rip off, and people are earning a living as well. Shop owners asking tourists to get off the track becos authorities is very concern on safety now. If you go at night, you will find Gong An guarding the track entry.

I was in there in June. I think the temperature is pretty well the same year around except it’s either the wet or dry season?. Italy is somewhere I am going next year, looking forward to it!

How the heck did you get tv screens on your plane ? Just flew from Phu Quoc to Hanoi. No screens. Then Hanoi to KL. No screens all with Vietnam Airlines.

Ahh, depends on the aircraft you flew on. A350 and 787 aircraft definitely will have them. Potentially you flew on an A321 (smaller aircraft)… doesn’t have it… and also the A321NEO.
