Its how they level mobile homes. Works really well. Used the technique to relevel mine in Alabama when I lived there. Set the water level to the highest point and raised with wedges on all other pillars until its perfect. Never seen it used in this way before, but I see why it could be done with this sort of build. Could be really useful on projects like large decks as well. Really anything a 4' level can't handle. Could call John, forgot about using food coloring to make it easier to see inside the trailer skirt, probably works just as well in bright light conditions too. I added uv dye for air conditioning so it glowed after I couldn't find a food coloring that worked, but out in the open simple food coloring does the trick. I learned the trick from a mobile home installed and he did it before the skirting was installed, he swore by red or blue, didn't work as well in low light for a relevel, being an auto mechanic at the time I grabbed ac dye, its used under a blacklight to find leaks. Hope this helps someone with their project.
I bet that “We’re going to light this thing up,” means that you will line the borders of your trail with Christmas lights for Christmas time!🤙🏻 Awesome video series by the way!
Starting to sound like an Apple product release event. Haha! But seriously, I think he's right. This one is pretty cool. though I still like the Arrow jump a lot, too.
The amount of effort and time this guy invests, not just into the trails but also in to filming, explaining and editing it all together is absolutely crazy, thank you so much for the content!!!
Man your video quality is top notch and coming from 30 years of experience as a carpenter your build quality is top notch and that cedar is to die for, your trail is for sure one to be envious of..
Great catch on needing that first jump closer to land on the down slope of that first part of the whale, would smooth the whole flow out easily! Really love the slanted side detail too, even with the extra work. Has more of a finished look to it, too!
Seen the hose and thought you was going to add a water feature to that whale... lol. You are one most creative builders out there. Thanks for putting in the work to entertain us!
Your channel one of the only ones where i like before i watch the video because i know that the quality will be great and i think that your channel should grow further because of your huge effort you put into those videos.
This is very nice and must have taken a lot of work. I’m not familiar with the channel/rider but if you have a full time job outside of doing these videos I’m very impressed. We all thank you 🙏
Pinkbike Friday fails had something just like this, 3 riders took a tight berm as a jump in a train and went clear over a railing off a small cliff into some bushes or small trees 20 feet below or so... terrifying! IMO should have been a warning sign 😯
FORKED WHALE TAIL WITH WALL RIDE?! I love the creativity on this feature more than any you’ve done yet. Well done Seth. Happy Thanksgiving my friend! -Nick 😃👍
Awesome work man ! I'm always really surprise by your skills.. you're juste on another level as trail builder You should do a bigger kick. On a whale tail, you land smoothly on the downhill segment, to get as much speed as possible. When you land correctly, you gain massive speed, and it let you get out a bit faster, and usually, it ends on a step down
Well done and fun build to watch. I like the dimension and style the side-boards added. Trying to understand why there would be any dislikes? ... Odd! Keep being you!
A little tip for anyone wanting to use the tube and water level, if you add a little red food dye or any easily visible colour you'll make life much easier than trying to see clear water in a clear tube :D
Awesome build, I appreciate the attention to detail. What type of wood are you using and where do you get it? I noticed it looks rough sawn and a full 2 inches thick.
Heres Jay's channel! Go give em a follow ruclips.net/channel/UCcUX7m0Te1upOJi4-6HGFRw
Don’t worry I did
What bike is in the thumbnail?
Wow
Thanks Seth!
Backyard Trail Builds you need a dingo digger
That water technique for leveling is so cool! I’ve never heard of it but it makes so much sense.
🙂
Alot of drop ceiling installers use this method quite often. I have seen guys use colored water to be able to see it better

Filipinos use the water levelling technique all the time
That water level is what people used for thousands of years.
I bet that “We’re going to light this thing up,” means that you will line the borders of your trail with Christmas lights for Christmas time!🤙🏻
Awesome video series by the way!
yes do it
Or gasoline pits Mad Max style, rad!
make it so bright that you can ride at night
we all saw the IG story yea? he's got enough x-mas decorations to put Santa's Village MTB park to shame.
I hope so!
Every week - 'this week we are building our biggest feature yet.'😂
Hella facts
Gonna be a monster energy enduro course in like 10 weeks
@@RylaDarkstar only 1 week left

We’re gonna have the a line jump from whistler soon

Yo that 45* cut on the side, takes this to a whole new level. The split in the tail really sets this build apart! Well done 👍
There’s so much beauty, creativeness, and craftsmanship in everything you build and it’s awesome. So fun to watch.
This was definitely the best one yet, looks amazing!
That looks fantastic. Great work! I love your attention to detail.
Wait... how is this comment 10 hours ago, the video just uploaded?

I'm glad that the weather is good down there so you can build, because it's just snowing and then raining up here.
Dude I legit get so pumped when you upload. I love how unique your channel is, and that's just so hard to come by these days! Keep it up!!
Man your video quality is top notch and coming from 30 years of experience as a carpenter your build quality is top notch and that cedar is to die for, your trail is for sure one to be envious of..
I love how excited you get about your builds!

Really love the slanted side detail too, even with the extra work. Has more of a finished look to it, too!
love the way the whale tale looks, the sides were definitely worth the time, looks amazing!
Those little side angles are mint!! Keep those touches coming!!
This looks amazing. The edges were a ton of work, but they really set off the feature.
coolest feature on the subscriber trail. Who else agrees??? Trail lights for night riding next???
Quick TIp: Throw some food coloring in the water for the level. Helps you see the line to see it that much easier. Another great video.
If you ever get sick of RUclips you will 110% get a trail builder job! Your more precise and passionate than half of the other builders out there!
Sad to see the best trail series on youtube coming to an end. However, super excited for whatever comes next, I bet it's gonna be sick!!
I'm hoping for offshoots of some features and a second subscriber trail for technical riding meant to challenge and push your limits
Building this whole line just shows how much he cares about his subscribers.
Seen the hose and thought you was going to add a water feature to that whale... lol. You are one most creative builders out there. Thanks for putting in the work to entertain us!
I agree it looks fantastic. Great work. Love watching your wood work. Calculating and giving it a little extra touch.
Your channel one of the only ones where i like before i watch the video because i know that the quality will be great and i think that your channel should grow further because of your huge effort you put into those videos.
Your buildts are art. I love the style of cedarwood!
One of the best looking wooden features on youtube, absolutely love the "fins" attached to the side of the planks
“Light it up next week!” Probably lights on the trail but it would be sick if he put some on his bike too
THIS IS BY far my favourite yt channel and series
Those ends that u cut amd angled look amazing 👏
Build both! Vert wall off the drop...and hip jump off the wallride drop.
I love how you make your features into art! Super rad man, keep it up!
Your attention to detail is truly awesome! Another great build!
dude, u make me feel so happy. I really appreciate ur positivity and attitude!!
The wood you use is just so sick
Man it looks so sick with that extra bit of detail on the wooden planks on the sides, super clean!
You’re skills are off the chart Dude! 🙏Thanks for sharing your joy of the trail builds and rides! 👍
Honestly this is art
Wow can anyone get us through COVID better than you. Keep it up
We have the same last name
This is very nice and must have taken a lot of work.
I’m not familiar with the channel/rider but if you have a full time job outside of doing these videos I’m very impressed.
We all thank you 🙏
Thank you for all the inspiration! My backyard/woods bike park is really coming along!
Oh man hip jump after the wall ride. And big quarter pipe after the straight jump! Have the best of both worlds
Awesome whale tail!! The extra time to add the sides was worth it. And executing it is the fun part!
I think this one is taking the cake for the most epic backyard feature I have ever seen. That was some phenomenal wood work man
Now that is freaking AMAZING. Speaking as an Engineer, landscaper and deck builder, and mountain biker.
Imagine having that as your yard... lol in the UK I can jump from one side of my garden to the other.
Nothing else I have to say except “I love this channel”
Just watched the whole series in 1 sitting, its mint !
You should be very proud of yourself! Not because all of us Knuckleheads on youtube praise you, but because Hard work is the most rewarding! Great job
Seth that is beautiful! So satisfying to watch being built too!
This has to be the best backyard trail in the world now.
I did a thumbs up like without even watching the video yet because thats how good i know this video is gonna be.!!!
This is by far the coolest feature yet
One of the best channels on YT. Young man out here doing the Lord's work. Need to get ya a crew, come to KC, and build some stuff 😎💪🏾🚴🏾♂️🤙🏾🤘🏾
Awesome engineering! I can't wait to see the end of the line build! 🤘
So impressive, Dude! The Quality & skills of you building the trail has become just like Seth‘s Bike Hacks. Keep going man!
Such an underrated channel. I learn carpentry just by watching.
I love your meticulous attention to detail, amazing 👍
Option 1 hip jump. Looks fun. Good work. Keep it up.
lol I just had a random realization, what if someone thought a berm was a jump
Well if that happened then it would nost likely end with a broken face
Pinkbike Friday fails had something just like this, 3 riders took a tight berm as a jump in a train and went clear over a railing off a small cliff into some bushes or small trees 20 feet below or so... terrifying! IMO should have been a warning sign 😯

@@konamacallister2816 I hope you guys are ok after that one, seemed like you guys got lucky - I hope.
@Muckertheblimp I did that on accident. I did a front flip and face planted but I was fine
Those angled sides make it look unreal!!
This is the best feature yes, it looks like a top ride. I love the water level method you showed, I’ve got to remember that. Great vid, thanks.
Please keep doing this trail I love it
That pink wood looks amazing
Such a sick trail system!!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 awesome inspiration!
Just found your channel and have been binge watching; so freaking cool!!! You are quite the trail building artisan!!!
Awesome build! Attention to detail is 🔥
FORKED WHALE TAIL WITH WALL RIDE?!
I love the creativity on this feature more than any you’ve done yet. Well done Seth.

Feature looks cool. I like the split tail. Definitely need to build the entry ramp higher to land into the hump.
You can really see how much his building and riding skills have improved. Props
Light this up? They will jump through rings of fire!🔥🔥🔥🔥
This feature is cool. Nice custom touches along the sides.
My brother here needs a laser level! :) Love the vids man.
Mate, you have nailed this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great video, i say you should build a vert wall with an optional kicker on the right.
Seth has got such a unique style. Even that limited edition shit is pretty sweet.
That whale looks so good! Nice build! 🔥
Backyard trail builds: You guys are standing right where the whale tail will be
Me in my backyard trail: Finally
THAT WATER THING IS GENIUS
What I like about this compared to Berm Peak is I feel like a could actually ride the features
Well done and fun build to watch. I like the dimension and style the side-boards added. Trying to understand why there would be any dislikes? ... Odd! Keep being you!
The trail is looking great
This looks awesome, I’d very much like to ride this!
