      Alot of drop ceiling installers use this method quite often. I have seen guys use colored water to be able to see it better

    • @alanfrye2706
      @alanfrye2706 3 года назад +5

      Its how they level mobile homes. Works really well. Used the technique to relevel mine in Alabama when I lived there. Set the water level to the highest point and raised with wedges on all other pillars until its perfect. Never seen it used in this way before, but I see why it could be done with this sort of build. Could be really useful on projects like large decks as well. Really anything a 4' level can't handle. Could call John, forgot about using food coloring to make it easier to see inside the trailer skirt, probably works just as well in bright light conditions too. I added uv dye for air conditioning so it glowed after I couldn't find a food coloring that worked, but out in the open simple food coloring does the trick. I learned the trick from a mobile home installed and he did it before the skirting was installed, he swore by red or blue, didn't work as well in low light for a relevel, being an auto mechanic at the time I grabbed ac dye, its used under a blacklight to find leaks. Hope this helps someone with their project.

    No, the jump to get onto the whale tail doesn't need to be closer, just a bit bigger and hit with more speed, doesn't look like there is enough flow and speed..
    Maybe dig into the ground infront of the jump to make it larger, move the berm before, further back, so more speed can be accessed.

    Before you build the hip or the vert wall you need to make sure you build it in the right direction. If you haven't ridden one before you might not know your natural rotation direction, which can often vary between hips and walls like in my case. Go to a skatepark or make a little something to test which directions feel better for you.

The difference between a laser level and the hose is gravity, wich means that with the waterhose level youll have to take the curveture of the planet in to consideration, doesnt matter for this project of course, but it has been used for bridge building aswell and specially Big ones over water between islands. Gravity bends light aswell but thats on a bigger scale.... Cheers
