Great content as usual. I'd love to hear about your experience / best practices when it comes to GDPR compliance (google fonts, s / youtube embeds). this is such an important topic and so intimidating for a beginner.
Hi Paul - quite informative and helpful. I'm building in Generate Blocks and taking this for a test drive. It is pretty powerful and intuitive for sure. One thing I noted in your demo - seems you set up a query block in Bricks - yes? Right now I'm flying with just the WP GridBuilder and am not using the GB query block, though I'm going to give it a whirl. The more I see Bricks, the more I like it - but GP/GB has some pretty awesome architectural features I don't see in Bricks yet. I use a LOT of GP elements/hooks and it's quite nicely featured in the Generate ecosystem. I recommend you consider a face-to-face comparison - GB vs Bricks. I also dabble with Oxygen and am impressed with Breakdance - yeah, I know all about the 'fiasco' in that community.... And, as always, a very sincere thank you for the videos you publish - they are appreciated.

You can see the difference in speed between grid builder and jetsmartfilters. Grid builder just destroys crocoblocks filtering.
GridBuilder is incredibly well developed. From personal experience, I have found it handles almost everything with ease. There are so many options, it's all incredibly intuitive, and it's thoughtful. In the rare cases I have had to contact support, for something really custom, they came up with a solution quickly, too. I think it's a must-have plugin if you do any sort of filtering.
I'm not sure I see the speed difference, can you explain a bit more why you said it destroys cb filtering?
Exactly, WP Grid Builder is years ahead.
Been researching alternatives to jetsmartfilters (because it is so slow) and your conclusion seems to align with what many others are saying. Such a shame that Crocoblock don't invest into performance testing.
This is great. Thanks! Do you have something that shows how I can filter by post year? Ideally like a Nav Menu at the top full of buttons. Each button corresponds with a year. When clicked on, all CPTs that were not posted in that year will disappear.

Paul, at 1:15 there is a hierarchical filter however it is not present during the creation process. How do you do it?
Just enable the hierarchical option. It's at 6:32

Good to know is that after a while they stop supporting lifetime users. My tickets get automatically deleted by their system.
