    Italians, Greeks and Turks are great people with great cultures. I feel honored that we Albanians have participated and shared land and culture with all three of them and today we are very close culturally to all three. Hence we have all three religions (among others) and we are proud of that.

      Only Turks from Western Turkey are culturally close to Greeks and Italians, Turks from Central Anatolia and Eastern Turkey not that much, they are much closer to Iranians, secondly Greeks don’t have a tea culture for example, Greek influence can be seen in our cuisine, ancient Turks didn’t know sea food, we adopted that from the Greeks, there is also a major Persian/Arabic influence on our cuisine which in return we passed to the Greeks. It seems you really don’t know Turkey or Turkish people that well my friend, stop comparing us Turks to Greeks, Albanians or Italians, we are a unique nation in our own right. Our culture is a mix of different past civilizations who once inhabited Asia Minor. Every region in Turkey is different.

    It warms my heart to see how so many Greeks and Turks in the comments love and appreciate each other. As a Korean, Greece-Turkey always reminds me of Korea-Japan. Korea and Japan also share a long and often complicated history like Greece-Turkey, but despite that, most Koreans and Japanese don't harbor any negative feelings towards each other and love visiting each other's countries and appreciating their culture (Kpop, Anime).
    Even if governments quarrel, I hope that the people can continue appreciating each other regardless of that.

      I believe in most cases despite the history, most people just want peace with each other. It's our governments that we don't know their intention. I'm Greek-American and in the US I see the government trying to divide the people using different tactics. Let's not let the government or others divide us. Btw, Greece & Korea also have another similar history in that we both experienced having junta-military dictatorship. Though Korea had it for many more years. After watching Youth of May, I realized many more lives were lost in Korea trying to fight it. I'm also a kdrama fan, much love from Greece.

    I'm Greek, I live close to the Turkish border and I've met many many Turks visiting my country. I've never ever seen any hatred by the Turks.
    I visited Andrianople (Edirne) many times, everything was very normal, Turks were very friendly to us.
    I lived both in Germany, and the USA. Turks are the same over there, very friendly. In those countries, Turks were the first to run and help us in case of need - we did the same.
    I grew up as a kid with the idea that Turks are enemies, and since then everywhere I've been they are extremely friendly people especially when they learn you are a Greek.
    Now, my son, who is a teenager, has grown without any bad feelings about Turkey - I hope this generation will be the first to be clean from hatred and finally we can all be friends.

      @@kadirulas7881 similar from what freakin aspect my friend? Because the turks that I saw in Turkey, as well as in every single video about Turkey, are too oriental to be similar to us. But i would be greatful to hear of how a middle eastern country is similar to a southern european one
      also, did you expect them to tell you that they see you as an enemy, while you came here to leave your beautiful money? Guys, use your brain for a while. People are always friendly to tourists, wherever they come from, as they live from tourism

      @@snowman9452 Dude, don't worry I use my brain more than enough! I am a Software Engineer and plus businessman and I am not stupid to see the things which is silly or not!
      Anyway, similarity means in this case like behaviour, food etc. I can give you an example: I live in Vienna and there is a lot of greek communities and have got many greek friends they are also very temperament like us and guest friendly! But your target is that you don't want Greeks and Turks to be in the same category but the truth is we are similar, even if you don't want to acceTurkey is very large country and there is a lot of ethnics therefore I would say east part of turkey is oriental where the most of kurds are living. Middle Anatolia is very conservative and little bit oriental but west, north and south parts (coasts) of turkey are not like this!
      That is true and you are definitely right. As a tourist everybody would be nice to me! but you can distinguish the behaviours of people! Just go to Scandinavians, Slav Countries or Germany as a tourist then you would see the difference!

    • @snowman9452
      @snowman9452 Год назад +1

      @@kadirulas7881 by just saying that we are similar, we are not going to become similar, you know. If you think so, and you "use brain more than enough", you have to give some evidence.
      Speaking of behavior, when i was in Turkey, a lot of things I saw were very strange to me, and looked definitely Oriental to me, about turkish behavior: People smoked hookah in Oriental style cafes, ate on the floor, and the heart of community was in Oriental style bazaars. Many elders wore a middle Eastern round cap. Many women wore hijabs
      And speaking of food, the two main ingredients of Greek food (pork and pasta) were completely absent from Turkish cuisine, Meanwhile People drunk tea AF (like arabs do) while Greeks never drink tea, instead of that they prefer coffee. People do not Even drink wine, the national and most consumed alcohol in Greece, and a century ago didnt drink any kind of alcohol at all. In Turkish discussions and humor, i cant recall sexuality being acceptable, when sexuality is the main topic in Greek small talks and gossip.
      I could go on forever. Even the fact that people there prefer cats over dogs (the opposite from what you see in Greece) was strange to me. Gender gap was overwhelmingly bigger than in Greece
      All these are things that i saw in Western and Southern Turkey, as I have Never been to other parts of the country
      Are Turks friendly, hospitable and warm? Yes. Is that enough to say that "two populations are similar"? I think no, there is much further than that. So, since you have a fully functioning brain, you can give some substantial evidence to support your claims, and ignore what my personal "target" is

    I am of Greek descent but have grown up in Australia, I have been to both countries several times. I have had more issues with my fellow Greeks in Greece than I have had with the Turkish people. Travelling alone with a severely disabled son and young daughter I asked assistance to board a flight of a young Greek man and he declined I was assisted by a German gentleman……I was totally disgusted with the Greek guys inappropriate reply. Then a week later I was in Turkey with my children and my parents, waiting for the hotel lift in the lobby, two men started looking at my kids grabbed the wheelchair and carried my son up 4 floors to our room so that we were not inconvenienced……..doesn’t say much about my own race, but speaks volumes about the Turks. I love Turkey and will keep going back.

      I can point 5 dishonest Turks or Greeks easily among thousands of nice one. Both nations are well known for their love of land, love of religion, stubbornness, ridiculous claims on everything, past glory that is a far cry today, similar geography, similar games played upon them by much bigger countries that caused suffering and death, lazyness, openness to foreigners, hospitability to be liked by others, emotional and illogical thinking and behaviors. Both nations feel much similar, thus them hating each other publicaly, feeling sad about each other secretly, letting their votes and sons kill each other, letting elders to mourn for why all these man made disasters happening after. This is exactly why a Greek and Turk can befriend each other when they are far away from home, in an alien environment about much different locals whether it be Western (Greeks claim to be Western yet they are not, they are East Mediterrenean) or Far East Asia (Turks claim to be Asian yet they are not, they are also East Mediterranean after 1000 years of existance in Anatolia). Thus a Turk and a Greek can easily befriend an Italian and Spanish, than a Bulgar, an Armenian, a Syrian, a Lebanese, an Albanian, a Bosnian, a Serb next. After that they can befriend Iraqis, Egytians, Hungarians, Moldovians, Austrians, French, Tunisians, Libyans, Moroccans. After it is is finally Germans, British, Nordic nations and so on. So in a way a Greek is nearly a Turk. A British equally foreign to a Greek and a Turk. Religion is the main cause of hate, difference and social barrier between the two nations. Since most young generation people from both countries are secular (non practicing believers, theists, nontheists, atheists), only thing differing between them is the language, even looks are not so different. Especially if you compare it with north Europeans etc.
      Alas I don't think average Greek or Turk differs so much in hospitability, friendlyness etc.

    As a Greek, i had visited Turkey back in 2009, and since then i returned 3 times (4 in total, 3 in Western shores and 1 in cappadokia). Turks were very hospitable and friendly people
    Now, as for how close the two peoples are, i would say that they have things in common, but differences are a lot more than similarities:
    Mentality: both are "warm", but Turks are a lot more emotional, Greeks are more "comfortable", but Turks more "relaxed". Turkish mentality is "not suspicious at all", Greeks are a lot more suspicious. The Greek stereotype of Turkish mentality is that they are "agathoi" (good people but not "suspicious"/"cunning")
    Habits: here are many differences: Turks vastly drink tea, Greeks vastly drink coffee (mainly a Greek coffee called frappe, and foreign like espresso). Turks almost never (in the past never) drink wine, Greeks mainly drink wine, Turks rather drink raki, a drink which resembles Balkan rakija and levantine arak. They also drink a lot of ayran. Greeks have no idea what this thing is. Some Turks eat on the floor. The only case Greeks Would eat on the ground would be on a pick nick in the countryside. Greeks prefer dogs, Turks cats. Greeks keep shoes on when visiting a foreign house, Turks remove their shoes in such occasions
    Music: part of music is identical, part of music is nothing alike. The music of anatolian Greeks is identical to Turkish. Both are a blend of Byzantine, Central asian and Arabic music. Greeks of mainland have a vastly different music, intermediate to Balkan and italian. Greeks of Ionian islands have purely Italian.
    Cuisine: Turks dont seem to love pork, and have a love for spicy food. Greeks consume pork more than any kind of meat, and rarely like spicy food. Greeks also have a very old pasta tradition, nearly equal to Italian. Turkey has no more pasta than manti ans eriste, both resembling central asian instead of south European pasta.
    Architecture: Turkish architecture is the ottoman vernacular house. Greece has this type only in Northern mainland regions. Southern Greece and Greek islands architecture is similar to Southern European
    Language: Greek language is a centum (Western) indoeuropean language with "Spanish" sounds, Turkish is an altaic language
    As a whole, Greeks are a European nation with limited Oriental influences (and we are not the only, at least all Iberians, Maltese, South Italians, and to a higher extend south Balkaners are European nations with oriental influences). Turks are a blend of central asian, caucasian and persian civilization, with some levantine influence

    I was visiting Istanbul a few years ago and I was at a bus-stop wondering what bus would get me to the Orthodox Patriarchate. A Turk saw me as a confused tourist. He literally took me on to the right bus all the way to my stop and got another bus back to where he was waiting for his bus. I have never had such a kind act offered to me in my life. There's nothing wrong with Turkish people. But let's not talk about politicians!🙂

    Μακάρι να ήταν τα πράγματα τόσο απλά. Αλλά δεν είναι. Είναι δύσκολή η συνύπαρξη με τους γείτονες. Δεν είναι όλα τα προβλήματα μεταξύ μας παρελθόν, ώστε να λέμε ότι τώρα είναι όλα ρόδινα. Για πείτε το αυτό στους κατοίκους των νησιών απέναντι από την Τουρκία με τα τουρκικά αλιευτικά να πλησιάζουν μία ανάσα στα ακριτικά νησιά μας - τωρινή κατάσταση αυτή, όχι παρελθόν. Για πείτε το αυτό στους Κυπρίους που έψαχναν πού είναι τα παιδιά τους και πλέον ζουν τα αδέρφια και ακόμα ψάχνουν πού είναι, για παράδειγμα, ένας Κύπριος ψάχνει τον αδερφό του, αν είναι ζωντανός ή μήπως βρει την σορό του για να κάνει μια ταφή αξιοπρεπή. Κύπριοι μού είπαν ότι υπήρχαν γυναίκες αρραβωνιασμένες που δεν παντρεύτηκαν ποτέ γιατι ο αρραβωνιαστικός τους ήταν αγνοούμενος και δεν ήταν σίγουρες αν ζει ή σκοτώθηκε κατά την εισβολή. Ο αγνοούμενος μπορεί να είναι και χειρότερο από τον νεκρό, γιατί δεν ξέρεις αν θα ελπίζεις, αν μπορείς να έχεις "closure", να βάλεις έναν επίλογο σε μια δύσκολη στιγμή και να προχωρήσεις στην ζωή σου. Μιλάμε για το 1974, δεν είναι αρχαία ιστορία. Και τώρα, πόσα ξοδεύει το ελληνικό κράτος στην άμυνα, γιατί δεν μπορείς να πεις στον γείτονα "περάστε, παρακαλώ" αν θελήσει να εισβάλει - λέτε ότι φταίνε μόνο οι κυβερνήσεις, αλλά η εκάστοτε ελληνική κυβέρνηση δεν προκαλεί με ρητορικές απόκτησης εδαφών, όπως γινεται από την άλλη πλευρά, άρα δεν είναι "οι κυβερνήσεις" στον πληθυντικό, είναι η μία πλευρά ξεκάθαρα. Είναι πολλά για να γράψει κανείς σε ένα σχόλιο. Ούτε καν αναφέρομαι σε ιστορία και σε γενοκτονίες (Αρμένιοι, Πόντιοι). Μιλήστε με Κούρδους (έχω γνωρίσει από κοντά) να δείτε τί θα σας πουν - για τωρινές καταστάσεις, για το πώς απαγορεύτηκε να μιλάνε την γλώσσα τους στην Τουρκία. Όσο για ομοιότητες μεταξύ Ελλήνων και Τούρκων, υπάρχουν κυρίως στα φαγητά, όχι σε άλλους τομείς. Γλωσσολογικά, η τουρκική ανήκει σε άλλη οικογένεια γλωσσών, δεν μοιάζουν οι γλώσσες. Θρησκευτικά είναι γνωστό ότι διαφέρουν. Πολιστιμικά επίσης υπάρχουν διαφορές. Η θέση της γυναίκας στην Τουρκία είναι διαφορετική. Έχουν ζητήματα σοβαρά στο θέμα ανθρωπίνων δικαιωμάτων. Άρα, θα ήθελα να πω ότι δεν μπορούμε να τα απλοποιούμε όλα, να λέμε ότι μοιάζουμε, ότι είναι όλα καλά, ότι είμαστε φίλοι και δεν υπάρχει κανένα πρόβλημα. Ναι, σε προσωπικό επίπεδο, και εγώ έχω συναντήσει Τούρκους που άλλοι μπορεί να ειναι ευγενικοί ή άλλοι όχι. Αλλά δεν μπορούμε να αγνοήσουμε γεγονότα σημαντικά. Το λέω μετά λύπης. Γιατί έχω ζήσει στο εξωτερικό, έχω φίλους από άλλες χώρες και το βρίσκω συναρπαστικό αυτό. Αλλά είναι γεγονός ότι η συγκεκριμένη χώρα παραμένει ένας δύσκολος γείτονας.

      Είναι ένα πολύ συναισθηματικό και μονόπλευρο προκατειλημμένο σχόλιο.
      το 1974, οι Τούρκοι δεν πήγαν στην Κύπρο για να συλλέξουν μαργαρίτες. Οι Τούρκοι επενέβησαν στρατιωτικά στην Κύπρο με το δικαίωμα που απορρέει από διεθνείς συμφωνίες. Όπως είναι σήμερα, δεν σέβεστε τις διεθνείς συμφωνίες και το δίκαιο. Νομίζεις ότι το ψέμα και η ανεντιμότητα είναι πονηρά..
      Γιατί δεν αναφέρεις ποτέ τις σφαγές που διέπραξαν οι φασίστες Γρίβας και Σαμψών; Ακόμη και ο Πρόεδρος Μακάριος έπρεπε να εγκαταλείψει το νησί για να αποφύγει να σκοτωθεί από αυτούς τους φασίστες.
      Θα βλέπαμε να καταστρέφονται οι Τούρκοι και να προσαρτάται η Κύπρος από την Ελλάδα ?
      Γιατί να μην μιλήσουμε για τις προσπάθειες της Ελλάδας να παραβιάσει τις διεθνείς συμφωνίες στη θάλασσα των νησιών ?
      Γιατί δεν μου λες για τους αθώους ανθρώπους που πνίγηκαν από τους Έλληνες με τις μπότες τους τρυπημένες ?
      Δεν ξέρεις για όλα αυτά; Ή εξαπατάτε τον εαυτό σας με ψέματα επειδή η αλήθεια δεν λειτουργεί για σας;
      Εσείς και οι ομοϊδεάτες σας μπορεί να είστε ηλίθιοι. Αλλά οι Τούρκοι είναι πολύ έξυπνοι για να πιστέψουν τέτοια φτηνά ψέματα.
      Δεν έχουμε αλυτρωτική διεκδίκηση στο έδαφος της Ελλάδας και δεν έχει συμβεί ποτέ...
      Αλλά θα προστατεύσουμε τα δικαιώματά μας που απορρέουν από διεθνείς συμφωνίες με κάθε κόστος.
      Παρά τα εκατοντάδες χρόνια που έχουν περάσει μαζ ίακόμα δεν ξέρεις τους Τούρκους.

      @ Ege Ilmen You forget that one of the imperialist countries since 1453 has been Turkey! Firstly as an Ottoman Empire (In History, empires have ALWAYS been imperialist) and then as Turkey with Ataturk! The events of 1955 in Constantinople, who are still fresh in the memory of many Rumlar, was due to some provocation that was created by the British Intelligence Service, to irritate the Turks against the Rumlar. Likewise, the real instigators of the massacres of the Greeks of Minor Asia in 1922 were the Germans! In both cases, two foreign countries used the Turks to accomplish their goals for their own interest! The purpose was to use Turkey as a satellite country in the East against the Soviet Union. As for the Germans, they have always supported Turkey and the Turks. They were always hateful towards Greece and her people. Germans and Turks share the same origin. They are two people that originate from the Mongolian steppes. Their ancestors were excellent horse riders and blood-thirsty warriors. Greeks and Turks never shared the same civilization. They have never been "the same" people. Of course been two different people does not mean that we should not try to be good neighbours. Let there be no strife between us, then.

    The average person just wants to be left in peace to live their life. They want a comfortable home, food to eat and to be happy. Once you start bringing politics and power into the mix, that’s when the problems start.
    It’s why I’m not surprised the majority of the people in both videos were mainly positive towards one another. One thing that one of the Turkish men said was very important. The wars of our grandfathers. Let’s leave them as the wars of or grandfathers and look towards the future.

      There is only one rule of living Decisively together : to have trust in each other. If a sense of trust is not formed in a real sense, there will be no respect, no peace. A sense of trust is hard-won in time.
      Turks are friends to their friends and enemies to their enemies.They do not hide it. .
      That is why they also do not forget the very painful lessons they have learned from insidious enemies and betrayals who seem friendly. Betrayal destroys a lot of hard-earned trust.

(Kitaplar her zaman doğruları yazmaz.) Hayatı kendi gözümüzle görmeli ve buna göre hayatımızı şekillendirmeliyiz. As a Turkish person who grew up in Greek community in Melbourne Australia (noting it has the highest population of Greek people outside of Athens) unfortunately there is a lot of hate from Greek people toward Turks. Whenever there was political tensions, we would avoid going to our regular shopping place because if anyone heard us speak Turkish and recognise it, they would show it with their expressions and make comments in Greek to the other people. Greek people I thought were good friends apparently hated Turks and revealed it later on which ruined our friendship of course - I was always nice to them. I'm in my mid-30s now and I feel a bit of a shift with the younger generation though but no longer live amongst the Greek community. I would have liked to report better interactions but unfortunately that wasn't the case. So now I won't form relationships with Greek people - I've been burned. My grandparents lived in Crete and Greece and our culture in western Turkey is very similar to that of Greeks - maybe even more than the other parts ofTurkey. I also want to add that not once have any Turkish people I've met made racist comments toward Greeks - they view them as siblings - kardeş which the comments section here easily demonstrates.

      Ακριβώς, αλλά τι περιμένεις από μια χώρα της διπλωμάτιας της ζεμπεκιας που έκανε σειρές και ταινίες με κύριο θεμα ελληνοτουρκικους έρωτες. Σε καμία άλλη σοβαρή χώρα δεν συμβαίνουν αυτά. Οταν πριν λίγα χρόνια η Ρωσία παραβιαζε τον εναέριο χώρο της Σουηδίας, οι Σουηδοί άρχισαν να θεωρούν εχθρική χώρα την Ρωσία. Ας πάει ένας από αυτούς να μιλησει για ρατσιστική χώρα την Σουηδία.

    I'm from the Western Turkey. I heard a lot of stories about their Greek neighbors from my granny and whenever I go back to my hometown, there are some carvings and sctriptures in some of the houses they had to leave. I feel like it's another part of my hometown I have never had the chance to see. Like a homesick I have to fulfill. Most sincere hearthful of loves from the other side.

      If you are from a city like izmir, your grandma should have told you that her Greek neighbors were not "equal" to Turks. Greeks controled the entire economy of the city, their culture and social structure was completely European, and whenever they got married a non-Greek, this non-Greek was a French or Italian or Armenian, never middle Eastern people like Turks, Arabs etc of the city, who also usually made up their emploees

    • @snowman9452
      @snowman9452 2 года назад

      @Ğaaa let me explain a few things: 1) you confuse Greeks of Izmir with "anatolian Greeks". Anatolian Greeks CERTAINLY were heavilly middle eastern, like armenians or Christian lebanese. But Izmir Greeks, as well as Greeks from a couple of other cities (ayvalik, alacate etc) were NOT anatolian Greeks. They were descendants of Greeks who emigrated from mainland and nearby islands between 16th and early 20th centuries. The middle eastern things that felt alien to mainland Greeks, mainly came from native anatolian Greek populations, like cappadokians etc. I am very aware of what you are talking about, since, in spite of being fully Mainlander myself, i have met a lot of anatolians when i studied at Thessaloniki (a city where nearly 8/10 of the population is partially or fully anatolian) and I know what they are like.
      2) Turks certainly dominated military and administration of the city, it makes sense, as they were the ottomans, and izmir was in the ottoman empire. But its well documented that nearly all of business of Izmir was ruled by Greeks and Armenians. Thus, anyone else were workers and employees of them, Turks and included
      3) like Modern Greek society, the Greek community of Izmir did not really differ from other western European societies, and by the days of Izmir destruction, almost all French and Italians had nearly been assimilated by Greeks. Almost all Greeks from Izmir that i know, have an Italian or French ancestor. The rest of Izmir's society, Armenians included, certainly was nothing lile European societies, i was referring to Greeks exclusively. The Greek community was vastly different from Turkish, in terms of status, properties and everything else, and it makes sense, as not only they came from a society west of Turkey, but also were more rich, with only Turks being comparable being those of the administration, as you previously mentioned
      Worth mentioned that even non-Greek Christian populations of anatolia, like karamanlides, saw European influence before muslim Turks who could live in next-door houses.
      Once i recall a pic from karaman, with a Christian karamanlide, who looked nothing like a Greek (as he wasnt) being dressed in western fashion, Meanwhile his turkish neighbors wore buggy pants. That says a lot how religion alone affects societies even in the heart of anatolia, let alone when there were a lot more things to differentiate communities from each other, like in Izmir

    • @snowman9452
      @snowman9452 2 года назад

      @Ğaaa there are a few things you have to understand about Greeks: 1) Orthodoxy and Church in general has never been a limit for Greeks, Even if it was for Russians. Religion on the contrary yes, has been a limit (i mean Christianity vs islam). Lol i have no idea where you got the idea that "Orthodoxy is closer to islam than to the rest of Christinity (????) But reality is that Islam is not closer to Orthodox Church than it is to the rest of Christian Churches, let alone Orthodox Christianity being closer to islam than to.. the rest of Christianity. In fact Even in medieval Greece, there was an entire class of mixed Greeks/French or Venetians, sometimes Dutch, who were called "gasmuloi". Let alone in modern years
      For at least 200 years there have been more Roman Catholic foreigners living in Greece, usually married to natives, than Orthodox foreigners. Greeks in Izmir didnt have strong bounds/limits with other Europeans of the city, and the fact that a great part of them had italians and French in their family tree was a good evidence of that. I know that they lived in seperated communities (defined by nationality, Nothing to do with religion) but they easily interacted and intermarried with other Europeans
      Greeks were never seen as "more like Russians" they have always been seen as western, in spite pf being Orthodox, mainly because Greece has associated itself more with Ancient Greece than Byzantine empire. Greek Orthodox Church has more Roman Catholic influences than any other Orthodox Church, and Roman Catholic Greeks have never faced a single problem from their Orthodox countrymen (unlike, say, catholic yugoslavs)
      The number of French and Italians in Izmir dramatically decreased after 1923. There were even pure italians coming here with the exchange, let alone Italian-Greek hybrids
      Also, when i mentioned karamanlides being dressed in Western style, i didnt mean it as an example of being more developed than their muslim neighbors (i have no idea if they actually were), my point in this part was how religion alone, even in a Christian population in the middle of Asia like karamanlides, could alone make a population more Western and create ties with Europe than its muslim counterparts. If western=developed.. that is at least not what I said
      As for Greeks of Izmir, they ruled the biggest part of the industry (not only small or medium companies), and had a higher education than most of other populations in the city. That alone says enough on who was more rich. Yes, Maybe Turkish buraeocrats were rich as well, but on average, Greeks were richer than most of Turks and other ethnicities in Izmir, as they ruled most of its free market market part.
      "In fact had Greeks of izmir been more developed thye Would have won against us" quite the opposite, these people didnt even bother join the army, as they were too "smooth" because of their lifestyle. The one who usually wins is the "sharp", who comes from working class
      To make it clear, speaking of developement, i repeat that i am not talking about native anatolian Greeks, but Greeks of Izmir and a couple of other communities recently founded by Mainlanders

      @Melisa güleroglu [🇹🇷] official sources say that 1.3 million Greeks came from Turkey in 1923, 900 thousands from anatolia and 400 thousands from Eastern Thrace (Which is not in anatolia), Meanwhile the number of Natives in Greece was 5,5 millions. Lol where did you read that "Natives was 3-4 million" or that "anatolians who came to Greece were 2 millions"? That is rediculous at least. Also, where did you read that anatolian Greeks had a higher birth rate than European Greeks? If anything, a LOT of anatolian Greeks emigrated to Usa and Germany a few decades after coming to Greece (others directly) and a LOT of them died out of hunger during the first days of their arrival, as well as during the world war 2.
      Hardly 20% of Greeks have partially and fully anatolian ancestry. That is faaaaar from "most". Unless of course yoy Have sources proving the opposite

Most Anatolian people share same dna as Byzantine people, even earlier antic people. Genetics do not lie.
