i used to watch it when it was released, but didnt play it because i didnt have a pc but like 2 years ago i started playing. Aside from the gunplay and ui this game seemed a lot more fun and a lot less sweaty. But i guess thats what happens with live service games.
Started playing siege about 2 months ago and nothing looks that different (other than graphics ofc) - i often hear ppl complain ab how much more tactical and slow paced it was, but the way it's played now feels to me just as tactical as this video except it's faster paced and there's less planting Like you mean to tell me 9:28 is any more tactical then it is now??? (not u specifically)

I came into Siege during Operation Para Bellum. I can't describe the feeling I had, even though I was relatively new to pc gaming/fps in general. It was the coolest experience and "escape" if you will. Was and is my favorite game, and obiously still play the heck out of it. The current state of the game definitely needs a special and loving touch of TLC, though it's not terrible or unplayable. I still get excited with each new season and will probably play this game until I die lol. Really cool to see this OG footage man! Much love. We will always remember the true pioneer and god-tier caster of this game, RIP Kixstar! ❤🙌
@hampler6027 That's alright man, I know a few friends who stopped playing about that time too. I try to tell them they should give it another go though because it's developed a lot since then. Only major discrepancy with the game right now is all the cheaters. It is a big bummer, but the game itself is still unique and enjoyable. Not many people realize it, but it's honestly one of the best fps to ever exist in my opinion. It's also getting a lot of attention right now so I'm hopeful that it just gets better from here on.

What's crazy is that I have been watching you and playing Seige for so long that I've already seen this footage, nice to see it again though to relive the old days.
I know it was probably for a better quality of life change, but I kinda miss when your sight jumped around in recoil. There were some shot misalignments sure, but in some perfect world I wish they could’ve just fixed that and left the recoil relatively similar visually. I dunno, there was just something about cleaning up like three people with your sight hopping around like you’re not perfectly accurate. Kind of gave me the feeling like, I figured out how to use the weapon I guess? Can’t put my finger on it
I miss those gun sounds, from before Siege all the older Rainbow Six games sounded like that, I remember playing The Rainbow Six games on the original Xbox
you know what i noticed from this old cav clips? The 2 second runout timer, it enables so many plays and clutch situation like in this clutch sequence at 2:23
I miss the old Siege. I never play ranked but it was funny to have those recruit rushes. Casual was like 4 minutes, you could hide in dead bodies lmao. Good times.

I miss old Siege. Movement has gotten so slow now it's annoying. 3 speeds now move like 2 speeds from back then. I want the fast movement back so bad.
