You should totally check out their 'Popspring 2016' it's about 15minutes long and has 4 songs, 3 of which are original (Cracked, Can't Sleep Love, and Water) and they also do the Michael Jackson Evolution live on there as well. Also they just came out with their new original song 'I Rise'!
They're masters at transitioning from one song to another, they've done several of these. Both as a group and Scott and Mitch in their duo Superfruit. (The latter on non-a cappella)
If you check their "Popspring 2016" performance you will see them doing it live, along with 3 other songs (originals)!

Thanks for the lessons! Yes, Mitch hits those high notes that Michael could. Mitch is a natural counter tenor and can hit notes in the 5th octave with ease. He also whistle notes in the 6th octave.
You were right, they did this in one take. They do all their evolution pieces that way...do 4 complete takes and then decide which is the best and then post it as is. There is no post production on it. They've done this live quite a few times.

As impressive as the rapid lyrical changes are, Kevin and Avi's change of bassline and beat is insane. Especially when Kevin beatbox-sing-beatbox
as someone that is really bad at beatboxing and can only do a Throatbase Beat, it is still pretty amazing the ease you did with introducing The classic MJ beatbox tutorial.
i don't usually follow the Beatbox Reactions that much but do watch you From Ren, imma hit up a few of your other videos.

see Superfruit (Mitch and Scott from Pentatonix) do the "Evolution of Lady Gaga", they are amazing and yeah they managed to make a song kind a have a message by weaving 2 songs together in that one too. Superfruit also have a few other videos you may like they do a NM cover of "feeling myself" its pretty funny.

He done a few reactions a couple months ago from his stream but someone in his chat was hating on mitch and the comments from the ptx fanbase was being a dick to him about it. Which obviously shouldnt happen he cant control what people in his chat say thats an entirely different person in the world saying that he isnt the dad of everyone in his chat and can tell them no. I assume thats why he quit listening to them cause all the complaining.

It was, indeed, a one take though they recorded the Evolution videos at a local-to-them studio. The studio did an interview around 2016 and said they were always so prepared when they showed up that they didn't recall it ever taking more than 3 or 4 tries, and at least two of them were just trying different things so they could pick what they liked best.
Just a suggestion, you might like to check out Weird Al Yankovic’s parodies of “Bad” (Fat) and “Beat It” (Eat It). Michael Jackson and Weird Al were friends, and Michael helped him with props and sets. Maybe not in your usual groove, but definitely worth checking out.

Yes, most (if not all) of the Evolution videos are "one take" - if i recall correctly, they do the whole thing through like 3-5 times, and the best one is the video.

Great reaction. Yes, they are known for being able to do seamless medleys / mashups. Not for reaction, but if you want to get more in-depth on this medley, fans create side-to-side videos for Pentatonix medleys, so you see and hear Pentatonix on one side and clips from the original songs on the other side. And they identify the artist, song and sometimes the year. The sound can get weird because of some of the key changes Pentatonix has to do to make the songs flow together. One of the things I love about them is that they put the song and music first. The music is the star. There's no ego or showboating. Kevin's beats and the backing vocals and the base - it's about building the song and taking us on a journey. For something completely different, might I recommend Scott's (blond baritone of PTX) cover of 'I Should Tell Your Mama on Ya' - a live solo recording of an a ccapella lyrical rap that has crazy vocal jumps and a difficult beat which Scott does against his chest. Yes! Glad you came back for more PTX (thank you Jamie for the suggestion!). Their transitions are truly superior. All of their 'Evolution of' videos are amazingly done, and yes, they record them live. Even if you're not a fan of the original artist, you'll enjoy PTX's homages to them.

PTX have serveral Evolution videos and they are all 🔥. They transition SO well, they’re a capella DJs 🔥🤘
I upgraded 1000XM3 to 5, and I'm delighted. It depends on how much you need for notice cancellation if you should upgrade. Are you using an analogue from start to finish? It is mainly BT and noise cancellation which improved the most.

The song was "Black or White." "Ebony and Ivory" was done by Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder. Both songs are great!
