I totally understand the adjustment and mourning a “perfect” birth in your head. I ended up getting pregnant before my husband is leaving for deployment and hopefully he will make it home in time but birth can be unexpected so preparing for birth alone has been very anxiety inducing for me. Prayers for the new beautiful baby❤️
My last baby I delivered by myself, and I hope if you do too that you have as many wonderful nurses and doctors around you as I was able to. They made jokes and kept me smiling and reminded me of the end goal. It’s still sad to think back on but I’m grateful I got through that. I hope the best for you!
Prayers for you, my daughter is pregnant and her husband is gone from boot camp to school for navy and just praying he will be able to come home for the birth,
I’m only 7 minutes in but I already want to thank you for how real and vulnerable you’re being with us! I’m 28 weeks pregnant and a first time mom. I know I’m going to be just as emotional and anxious with the labor process. Thank you for sharing your experience and strength with us!! 💖
It can be so vulnerable putting this out there with all the opinions that have come along with it but this is why!! We need more real ness in the world:) and congrats!!!
This is a beautiful birth story! So raw and real and I felt your fears, excitement, pain, and joy. Thanks so much for sharing!! You are amazing!! I loved how your husband encouraged you too 🤍✨
Congratulations on the safe arrival! What a massive journey - I’m 29 weeks pregnant with our 4th and found out my delivery won’t be how I planned and I cried too. Glad that after 3 long days you did it!! Well done - you are such a champion ♥️
Congrats Momma! 💕💕 This is so beautiful . I'm due in April with my first. Currently 28 weeks pregnant and I am so grateful for mommas like you sharing your experience. Your baby and I also share a birthday 💕
Currently 11 weeks with our first and my gosh the tears when you delivered 😭 so happy for you and the way you worked through accepting the deviations to your birth plan. She is beautiful!!
Thank you so much! and congratulation!!! My labor was veryyy uncommon so I hope it doesn't make you feel some kind of way. But either way, you can do it and its alllll worth it
It’s so hard because pitocin contractions are like no other. They’re absolutely next-level hell. I’ve gone into labor naturally and been induced twice and my God, there’s been no comparison. I’ve known women who can handle it and that’s incredible, but everyone is different. And your body fights against the pain which makes you tense and can hinder progressing. Each time I got an epidural I was at 10cm within an hour or two after because my body could finally relax. That you made it 35hrs is nothing short of heroic. Incredible job, guys. Congratulations!!!!
You are so adorable 😭 every time you cried you had me tearing up. You did so well, congratulations 💞 my third is due in March , can’t wait to meet her!
I laughed and cried with you throughout this entire video! Your personality is amazing and you did so well despite all things, I can only imagine how intense and life-changing that whole experience is! I'm a little late but your baby girl is wonderful, congrats mama!!! ❤️❤️
Congratulations!! I hope one day to be able to make my own! This was amazing. Thank you for sharing with us, such a raw and emotional moment of your life.
I have watched so many birth vlogs and this is the first one that i have seen that was similar to my birth experiences. i was not induced but i did have pitocin along with 38+ hours labors with all 3 of my babies. you could truly feel the emotion in your vlog
40 hour labor! You are amazing a very strong woman I have 3 weeks left to go and the way you handle everything makes me feel I'm ready with whatever comes my way too. Thank you🌺
Alex, I"m old enough to be your grandma, and stumbled into this. I have to say, in the worst and best moments of your life, your wonderful character just shines through in this video. You are so intelligent, and it shows every time you speak. You are lovely without makeup, and your depth and intelligence comes through your eyes.. Even when you cry for days, you speak about it with grace and humor, and you never whine. You are a tough, smart, special young woman, and it looks like you are blessed with a man you can trust too. I wish you all the best in life.
Good for you lasting 35 hours!! My last pregnancy was just under 40 hours without the epidural, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’m due next month with baby #2 and getting that epidural!!! ❤️😬 congratulations!!
Awwe oh my gosh. I wanted to hug you every time you cried. I would be terrified too if I was about to have my first baby! That’s such a scary experience I can imagine but you did it! Congrats mom and dad. ❤️😍
Just found your channel and I am in love! This was so beautiful, I couldn't help but cry😭 I am so glad that your hospital let you record, these are such precious moments to look back on❤
Just in time for this newest arrival, love to see newborns and their parents. Congratulations, lots of happiness, joy, love and health to all of you❤️😘🙏
I think my reaction will be the same as yours. Scared shitless 😂 But so happy to see that everything went well! Congrats 🥰 Soon I will meet my little girl too 💗
This was beautiful to witness! I admired how strong you were and how you were able to process and accept the deviations from your birth plan. Huge congratulations on your healthy beautiful girl! 💕 My own baby boy will be here in April, I’m currently in the mindset of attempting an unmedicated birth at the hospital, but will of course do anything that’s needed so that we both make it out of it as healthy as possible. I’m so excited and your birth vlog helped assure me that it will be okay and worth it in the end!
Congratulations to you all. The pain and hard work of labour pays at the end of it. I am 30 weeks pregnant with my 9th, I have had all different kinds of births, from induction to unexpected 10 minute emergency living room delivery, (no c-sections) none of my births have gone to plan. If I have learnt anything, it's that, it doesn't matter what we plan, when baby wants out...its coming out! Which ever way it pleases! The main thing is that you and baby are happy healthy and safe. X
Such a beautiful video of the birth of your adorable baby girl! You did a fantastic job of all that happened! She’s a beautiful part of two wonderful parents! Thank you for sharing! 💕💕
I can relate to this so much. I was 2 1/2 weeks overdue and nothing was happening so they induced me. They started pitocin almost immediately. 16 hours into labor I asked for something to help me sleep b/c I was exhausted and knew I wouldn't be able to push if I was that exhausted. I had no epidural or pain meds by choice even though my labor was severe back labor because I didn't want a needle even near my spine and I didn'f want meds to negatively impact the baby. My labor was 33 hours and very much worth it.
Crying along with you in this video. This is so much like my first delivery. I had to be induced due to HP and preeclampsia. I felt all your emotions so deeply here. I needed to be induced with my second baby also due to high BP and being proactive to not get preeclampsia again. The second time I didn’t need pitocin which was such an easier and smoother time! Congratulations, she is beautiful!
I am late to watching this but I just wanted to say you are so strong! I had almost the exact same birthing experience, including the foley bulb (worst pain ever). I did end up having to get a C-section after four days but watching your experience felt validating for me because everyone else I know has had great labor and birth experiences. Congratulations!
Thank you! and that foley bulb OMGGGG. There needs to be a PSA to all women about that thing lol It is hard to hear these blissful birth stories so its comforting hearing that other people have more complex birth stories like me.
I was induced Nov 3rd 2022!!!! Had my son Nov 5th with a 34 hour labor. Im now pregnant again im 15 weeks and 4 days today and my due date is June 3rd 2024
Gosh I'm in tears when your hubby was comforting you, I gave birth to my little boy(2nd child, his sister is almost 9) 4 weeks ago today and my hospital didn't allow anyone with me so I gave birth alone and natural, My husband was devastated he couldn't be there but now his the best support system Congratulations you guys, she's so adorable 💕🥺
If you have another baby & are in Atlanta, I have the best OB in Marietta!! He’s the absolute best I swear & the hospital does not play when he sends his patients there! He’s done 7 surgeries on me & my nephews were all born by him.
Great job !!! I had a similar labor with my forst and by my 3 rd if you believe it my induction was a painless 24 hr s on misoprostil and then 90 min till the start of pushing. I got freaked out and had an epi a few min before that but it was given too high bc I was shaking w back to back surges. Had a nap n then pushed. My 4th was an easy 8 hrs w only 90 min of painful contraction that I handled by telling myself "You got this" so if you have more babies it ll get easier. You have a great love w your man...it's great to see God bless
Thank you for this birth vlog! And of course, congratulations with delivering such a beautiful girl! I'm told that I will be induced at 41 weeks due to overdue and now I understand what it can look like (but I never though about scenario with concerning CTG and even earlier induction).
Congrats, having mine in 12 weeks :) just curious, not judging, but why do people choose to go without epidural til the very worst moment of pain? Everywhere i see it helps women to “open” faster and make them feel less pain and exhaustion, so why not do it? Im just curious for reasoning :) sorry for my english, not my language
8 weeks now with my first, I plan on going without the epidural at least at first mainly for mental reasons. I can get intense anxiety if i feel like I don’t have control. Personally I don’t need to “prove” I’m “tough” or whatever, but I do need to feel like I have control during the process. When you get an epidural, your whole bottom half is numb, which will mean that you’re bound to the bed from that point on. I don’t want to feel restrained, unless the pain becomes so intense that it feels like the restraint would be the better option. This is why I personally am making this decision. I want to be able to choose the way to labor that feels most natural to me. (And who knows that may end up being the epidural lol)
Before a certain point in labor, the epidural can actually slow things down. Many people choose to go unmedicated well past this point which is I think what you are talking about, but I felt it was worth mentioning. The timing of it does matter up to a certain point and it can be hard to know for sure when that is because it varies somewhat by labor so some people take the approach of waiting extra long to be safe. (This is just one reason)
For me some of the reasons I didn't want to get it was to let my body do what it was naturally designed to do, faster recovery, experiencing the full amount of oxytocin hormones (meds hinder this), and to avoid the spiral of all the interventions. But I ended up with all of that lol so definitely didn't go as planned but we are all okay so I'm grateful!
First of all, i dont speak english very well so im sorry if i say something wrong. I cried watching this video, my biggest dream is to have a baby or 2 or 3, but this was a very hard labor, you were suffering and i could see and feel your pain, but when that little and beatiful baby born, you put her on your chest and you cry and huge your partner, and believe me that feeling was so powerful that we all cry. You did it. That was a beatiful video 💘 huges from Argentina🇦🇷
God in control! Praying that everything going well! Congratulations on your baby girl! I'm 35 weeks pregnant. Going to have a baby boy. I might have to be induce. Baby already 5 lb 9 oz. I'm pretty small person but my belly is big lol! Due February 4. I don't think I make it until than.
Im here because i was lookong for somebody with a similar experience to mine. Been induced and in early labor for 34 hrs so far. Progressing but going crazy.
How you couldn’t stop crying. Girl if that isn’t me. I’m such a cry baby and I’m expecting my first. After having a really great ultra sound and seeing my baby swimming in my belly today I have just been leaking tears all day long I’m just so emotional lol this is me also thinking about me birth. Bless you!
My daughter actually had the same issues with her cord & I was rushed into emergency c section after 10 hours of natural labor because of cord prolapse.
I literally was at a 10 before and then after the epidural I couldn't feel anything so a 0. Once it wore off, the recovery was painful but nothing like labor so I never took medicine.
@@plantifulalex thank you so much for replying! It's hard to make a decision which route to take when everyones body is so different. Have you had any side effects from the epidural injection site?
he barely filmed anything, we used a tripod and had my mom and my doula there. He was present with me through everything and encouraged me I was doing amazing and could get through this. He's my biggest support system
Mom of 3 hear!I my 1st naturally the first 14 hours later I got the epidural.to the next 2 babies I took epidural from the beginning.i enjoyed every minute and my baby and I wasn't tired after delivery
congratulations on such a beautiful baby girl. and an amazing birth, you’re a strong mama 💗 my girl was born in march and was also 7 lbs 4oz ❣️ 21 inches long 🥺
I have PCOS and I remember how l felt when the doctor toid me it would be hard for me to conceive I now have 4 children very successful pregnancies God blessed me with use of herbs!

Awe!! We have good taste 😊
Bless you!
Aweee congratulations!!! Get ready for so many more tears of joy!!! 🥰
beautiful baby girl! Thanks for sharing your story
Being there for your wife is so beautiful man!!!
DAMN, 35 hours and no Epidural, you are tough. Like extremely strong, I could not imagine being in labor for 3 days. Congratulations on the baby.
It honestly took me to a place I've never experienced before.
You are a champ my girl! God bless you ❤️
Wish u healthy delivery good luck
Thank you for showing how beautiful and unperfect giving birth can be, it's full of raw emotions, but it's still so beautiful
Thank you for your kind words!
Aww you did beautiful mama she is gorgeous! Im vegan too ,you're awesome
My daughter actually had the same issues with her cord & I was rushed into emergency c section after 10 hours of natural labor because of cord prolapse.
oh my goodness! I'm honestly surprised that didn't happen to me. During labor her heartbeat kept diving and it was the scariest thing ever
It kinda makes me mad when men say you will get through it you'll be fine when they know NOTHING OF WHAT WE FEEL 🤦🏽♀️🙄
Did you feel a pain difference after the epidural on a pain scale 1-10?
I literally was at a 10 before and then after the epidural I couldn't feel anything so a 0. Once it wore off, the recovery was painful but nothing like labor so I never took medicine.
@@plantifulalex thank you so much for replying! It's hard to make a decision which route to take when everyones body is so different. Have you had any side effects from the epidural injection site?
Aw congrats. I'm a new subscriber and you did amazing ❤
Thank you so much!!
I know this video is old. But mama youre so pretty and your energy reminds me of a mermaid 🧜♀️ 💖
Congratulations mom and dad, she's beautiful
Thanks for sharing this great perspective!
31 weeks pregnant and crying 😭 you are so strong
Congrats to you!!! Getting close!
Why you got epidural late?!
Maybe just me watching it but how did your husband help you?! Looks like he just filmed only
he barely filmed anything, we used a tripod and had my mom and my doula there.
After that first you’re like nope not again hahah we shall see what my next one is like 😳
Exactly 😂
Congratulations on your little blessing! May your family grow in Jesus together!! 💕
Thank you so much!!
I got so emotional watching this
Totally lost it when your husband said the pain is going to go away 😭
I cry every time I watch it. I barely remember it happening when it did so looking back I was like 😭😭😭
My induction was similar. I'm refusing an induction this time around. By the time you are done you are exhausted and have a baby to take care of
1000000%
