Thank you SO much for making this video!! It was very helpful - I have had a tough time getting this opener to work correctly, but thanks to you, I can now do it!!!!

Very useful to show that you don't need to keep pressing down on the lever to finish the cutting process. Most YT can-opener demonstrators keep their hand on the lever regardless.

You skipped the knife sharpener in the back. Anyways I just got one of these yesterday and was not happy with it. It advertised as also having a knife sharpener so that made up my mind as I needed a new can opener. Then when I got it and read the manual it stated only sharpen knives that are not serrated! Did not say this in any of their ads. I returned it for a refund to Walmart and ordered a better Hamilton Beach Smooth Touch Electric Can Opener. It costs a bit more but is awesome. No knife sharpener but that Black and Decker did not have one anyways as far as I am concerned. Watch reviews on the Hamilton Beach and see what you think for yourselves is all.

I think you made the right choice. I always return things that don’t work for me. Thanks for the advice I will check out the Hamilton Beach one.

Thanks for the review, I've gone through so many...whether pricier or more affordable they don't seem to last anymore. How has this one held up?

Thanks. Holding up good so far had it about a year now but I don’t use it that often unless I’m opening more than 2 cans. I usually use a handheld can opener because it’s more convenient.

Does this opener work for tall wide cans such as 6 inch wide x 7 inch height?

I’m unsure about the height but I have used it on very wide cans and it worked.
