In the Caribbean the centipedes we find in our houses are similar to the American Desert Centipede though, none of that skinny leg nonsense.

Sia ferox gets to be about 6.5-8 cm. Bulldog raspy cricket I'm not sure. Only mention of it I see in a quick search is connected to bug wars. Raspy crickets though are apparently 5 cm.

Probably not, but I could personally do without having to listen to pig squeals, lion roars, Wilhelm screams, and alarm klaxons going off while I'm watching a nature documentary about invertebrates.
If I wanted to hear something squeal like a pig, I'd either go watch Deliverance or head down to the nearest hog ranch and watch them slaughter a few pigs.

I legit put my money on the wrong choice twice in this episode. The cricket and the spitting spider surprised me.
I just realized this show is essentially a metal version of pokemon. And that's what makes it so bad, yet so good.
Only thing that makes it bad is the cat sounds coming from a spider.

Ok, I just saw a Cricket attack, kill and eat a Tarantula. Obviously it's a kind of predatory Katydid but those are still Crickets. A Cricket eating a spider, never mind a Tarantula was nothing I would ever have believed if I hadn't just seen it with my own two eyes. That was just too damn cool! LOL
I'll go out on a limb and say that will go down as the coolest fight in Monster Bug Wars history. I mean, let's face it, once you show a Cricket that just steamrolls a Tarantula, nothing else will ever hit that level of unexpected coolness!
Avro Arrow Baby Scorpion killing the Pirate Spider is equally if not more awesome.
The only thing better than these would be a crab winning for once.
The thing is, a scorpion, even a baby, has venom and that is the ultimate equalizer in the insect/arachnid world. When one thinks of a cricket, they don't think of a ferocious killer like they would a tarantula. A cricket has no venom, so it can't land a lucky shot with a stinging tail like a scorpion, even a baby scorpion, can. I NEVER saw this outcome coming, with a scorpion, victory is always generally though of as possible. Spiders are usually a large part of a scorpion's diet. I can't say the same for ANY kind of cricket.
