  • A star-studded summer evening with ShaNaNA, The Tubes, and Nazareth who Rocked over 50,000 screaming fans covering the outfield at Anaheim Stadium. What a time to be alive.
Probably the most electrifying version of "Loved and Lost" every recorded.
Drew cummings Productions, Sunday June 19, 1977 King Of The Silver Screen Tour. Sadly, The kinks performance was omitted from this release. Event Hosted by Flo & Eddie.
This is my personal VHSrip, to my knowledge this has never been released elsewhere.

I was there, all of 14, thanks to my buddy's dad who got us backstage passes, we saw the show from a riser on the side, right above the OD tent. I remember the bumper cars, the quaaludes running around on stage during the Tubes "White Punks on Dope", and of course Alice Cooper's "School's Out" ending. Epic day!

I don't know who was was drinking more, Alice or the video editor. What a train wreck of a video. So glad to finally see though!

YEAH how come they didn't have the production value of the 2000's in the 70's!

You can tell Alice was hitting the bottle hard when there are dancing gangster chickens on the stage.

I was there and the Kinks who played before Alice, stole the show and they aren’t even mentioned.
I did go to the show to see Alice though.
The Tubes were great, I remember a giant mirror fell on Quaylude, they bandaged him up,
Put him on crutches and he sang “White Punks on Dope”, Nazareth were great too.

Sha Na Na seem like an odd addition to this concert, yet it somehow fits.

Normally when he was drunk he was still able to perform, but here he could not sing Billion Dollar Babies anymore

A treasure. I sincerely congratulate each and everyone who was there. But Alice wasn't nearly as drunk as the legend said he was.

Was there and remember garbage being thrown at Nazareth. Also, as another post here points out, it's true The Tubes were not well received and endured the garbage as well. As far as Alice being drunk, guess I didn't notice by the time he hit the stage because our group was partaking in various nefarious substances as well!

I would hope so considering it was 1978. Nazareth had 2 songs one was great and the other one soft as a pillow.

I swear I saw this on local NYC TV sometime in the early 80s, maybe on Halloween night.

Strange introduction for The Tubes. I wonder what their whole set was like. They would play covers but mostly original material. I wonder if Quay Lewd was a little too close to Cooper's behavior at this point for White Punks On Dope to be included?

I was there and I was a big tubes fan but they were booed throughout the set and even cursed the audience. They didn’t do their normal show but had long dancing sequences advertising their NOW album. Weird day.

Quay was there on crutches and sang White Punks on Dope, this video is poorly made and edited,
Way too much Sha na na, no Kinks and Flo and Eddie.
