Truly, TRULY all you need to pass step 1 is UWorld, Randy Neil (ALL videos), Dirty Medicine, and first aid. I was not an A student. I was MORE than prepared using those four resources alone. I walked out confident that I passed.
That’s amazing! Can’t live without Sketchy though haha love it
I wanted to love sketchy, but my simple brain needed pixorize during pre-clinical. You're gonna do great!! @@itslifebymaggie
How do you take step 1 in 3rd year? I thought it was after 2nd year. ❤
Not me watching this after watching Faye's lol
Nice! 😂
Omg me too😂
When do you take step 1 and what do someone do if they don’t pass
November 27th! I think if you don’t pass you would retake at some point, but don’t know the details
I'm trying to understand your new strategy. It wasn't very clear. Can you explain it a bit more here? You watch you Sketchy videos....and what do those two boxes on the sheet you printed out mean, and then unsuspend the related anki cards? huh?
Thanks! -Longtime follower for the mcat here
The thing that I changed was that instead of watching the video then unsuspending *all* the premade cards for that one video, I would go through and tweak/edit/consolidate the cards and only unsuspend a fraction of them.
So if one video has 90 cards associated with it, I now go through and unsuspend like 15-20 cards instead. The biggest benefits have been 1) editing the cards forces me to go through and make the card more effective for my learning and 2) there is waaayy less cards building up so it’s still doable to get my Anki done within 2 hours every morning. I think if I unsuspended all of them I would have like 1,000 a day at this point and I would never get them done haha
The paper was just me being unmotivated and wanting to have something to physically cross off after each video! 😅
@@itslifebymaggie Yes! I like that. I take my mcat in 5 months and have been using anki. I just can't seem to finish all of my reviews bc I unsuspend just waaay too many. I'm going to try this strategy. Also, how many hours do you think is a reasonable amout to study for the mcat? AAMC says 350. But what is a safe amount of quality hours to feel overpreparrred?
-Thanls!
you should do a work out video your arms are ripped LOL
Haha thank you!! It’s all CrossFit
