These music grow into you, first time you think its trash garbage. The more you listen, you will realize its beauty. Thats how reference point works. Personally i like earfquake because of the voice and synths and shit. Thats my reference point, your reference point is more leaning to how the voice would sound if im correct. So yeah

The thing about Tyler and his singing is that he is FULLY aware of his lack of vocal skills 😂 before becoming a rapper Tyler always wanted to be a singer first and foremost, but due to his unpolished vocals, he had to go into the rap game. Before this album, he was already starting to transition into his singing because he came to a point where he stopped caring and just wanted to do what he loved. That’s why his new songs are so good, because he put all he has into them and is able to express himself despite his lack of singing skill.

He definitely sings off key on purpose (not to say he can sing) to give off the vibe of an awkward love hungry teenager trying to serenade his crush. Even though bad on a technical level, its supposed to be charming in that way.

I understand what you mean about the singing. Tyler has a very unique voice and if you guys ever decide to react to tyler the creator funny moments at all you'll see his voice is really deep and he can't really sing super well but he's developing his singing voice. I personally like it because i listen to tylers music differently than i would other artists. Tyler puts out what he's feeling in that moment and he does it 100% so tyler must have loved this track sonically and maybe wished he had better vocals but thats just him and his voice at that moment so he cant help it.

I think showing Tylers songs from Igor without doing the full album, is just a disservice. Even in the notes Tyler says to listen back to front. I understand that isn't your channels style, but maybe don't do IGOR songs, as you do need the full album to get a full concept and appreciate it.

the singingis pretty eh, but thats just kinda the vibe of most of igor. but also im pretty sure the vocals are even more pitched up in earfquake than other songs so it is a bit more unenjoyable first listen
