You should set a wheel the you spin at the start that tells you how you have to escape. So that way you are forced to do the hardest way and the easiest way depending on luck. Plus as you said there are not many options and normally one is very clearly the best. I know it partly defeats the purpose, but it's just an idea. Another idea would be something similar to the first but with a different goal. So maybe your goal isn't to escape. i haven't played the game much so I don't know what is and isn't possible, but I think that could be a good idea.

Reminds me of that old show “to catch a thief” where a couple former burglars would break into peoples house (with permission) to show the vulnerabilities in their security…that or hackers who do pen testing for companies to test their defenses
