I wouldn’t recommend switching kiln plugs in an outlet. Plug it in and leave it. The wear from frequent unplugging/plugging can cause arching between the plug and outlet. It can become a fire hazard over time. But great video and info, I appreciate your time and effort.

How hot does it get on the outside when firing? I’ve got a very small space in my garage and I’m wondering about the ambient temp. Thanks

It gets toasty, but just make sure everything‘s about 3 feet away from it and you should be fine maybe vent the Kiln out
