- A Day in the Life of a Front End Loader Operator
In this video I will show you what a day as a heavy equipment operator is like as well as teaching you how to properly operate a front end loader! Hope you enjoy!!

Really enjoyed this. Nice to see multi-generational family businesses thriving.
I used to run a loader, no better job. It's good to see you in your comfort zone. It's good to see you in your daily life. Nothing better than sitting in a CAT.
Always hear that people that run heavy equipment like that enjoy it because they get to see the results of their work immediately. Makes since. Enjoyed the video.
Wow Ryan, it's interesting to see how much operators "bounce around" inside the cab. Thanks for sharing!
I was also thinking of that, there are a few tricks😃 (drove them for then 20 years) still mis it.
He’s lucky that his 950 isn’t running the X Mine D2 Pro tires like mine has. The tires on my loader are super thick rubber because I work in red hot material. Thats a rough ride. 😂
Thanks for the video. I signed up for a 3 week course as Wheel Loader operator. Starting the training next week. This was useful to watch.
oh that's great! how was your class??
Multiply that setup by about 40x and that’s what I do too. I fill huge silos and charge 8 ingredients. I have two screens a shaker and a crusher too. It’s a lot sometimes. When things work properly it’s gravy but about once a month she acts up and I spend 12 hours covered in some kind of dust. 😂
yes when they are good its easy but once something it a miss, once you fix one thing something else goes
This looked like alot more fun then being a chef. I did work for the town of Cooperstown before moving to the Cape and got to play with alot of big toys. 😂 should of kept that job
I was cooking for 6 years now, currently doing heavy equipment operator training course! Spend my last week running a wheel loader and I love it! I made a ramp yesterday and was super proud of it! I climbed to a decent wage but the toxicity of the kitchen is too much. I was at peace in my cab, enjoying the view and trying to get used to the controls. I loved it! I was in the kitchen and today for brunch service, I was wishing I was in my machine!
yes working the loader is def a nice place to " get away" and just be alone but yet still working
God Bless you Ryan, Pam and baby boy!♡
Hey ryan, great video.Intresting to see your job. Thanks for taking us with you.😀👍✌❤
You are awesome when showing people!
He is a great instructor!
Great vid. I too work at a plant at cemex. I've been on loader for 4 months now. Love it
They're is nothing like it!
😁 looks like heaps of fun
love from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺🦘❤️🐨✌️
I was wondering what you did for work and didn't know you had a family business thank you for sharing your video.
Now you know!
Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
always here to help!
Wow, this was a really interesting video! 😀 I didn't know this is what you did for a living & was part of a family business. I learned a lot here. There's a cement business just down the street from me & I always wondered what all the different piles were. 😅 I also wondered how the cement gets into the mixing trucks. Maybe you can show that another time. Or not. 😂👍❤️
it must get loud where you are during the day! I know its really loud with the crusher going!
@@RyanandPam 😂 Actually it's not that bad. The property is huge!
I ran a 950 cat for a concrete company called politte ready mix for 5 years at first I was terrible an got the brown flat work sand mixed with the black sand . An tore up some stuff with it it didn’t have brakes but I had strong enterrest in frontend loader an they could see that so they kept me so I became real good an took good care of it better than most as I hand washed it an vacuumed it out an sprayed the radiator out cause of the dust it would run hotter if I didn’t
Great video man. Cool change of pace and interesting. Great Job 👍
Enjoyed this so much, thank you for sharing.
Cool well done!
Thank you!
WHATS UP CRAZY DREAMERS!!! HOPE ALL IS WELL!!
Great video! I am too a concrete guy (precast).
Funny you mention how much the drivers talk on the CB. Must be universal. Ours do the same
These loaders can tip over real easy if the operator is moving with the machine in full articulation, and loaded bucket raised high. Tap the brake and over she goes. Beginners need to know about this hazard. It happens a lot causing damage and injuries.
He was driving these before he ever sat in the drives seat of a car. Hes just got that natural feel and likely doesn't remember being a beginner. Thanks for the info tho!!
sounds good
Thanks Ryan! That was awesome! Tell Pam I miss her! Kiss baby!
Nice video. i work in south Louisiana and my bins can hold up to 80 yards I have 6 bins I do the same thing but 10 times more or worse over 1.000.00 yards daily .if I would make a video like this I be cursing so much 😂😂😂
lol well we could always *Bleep* it out lol
Good video, I was going to show it to new operators but i can't. I am the safety director for a mid-west ready-mix company with 12 plants. Your dismount at the very end was not proper 3-point contact. facing away and jumping down is quite dangerous to the ankles and knees. that's how we get hurt here the most. and you missed the bucket with your water bottle... unacceptable😄
Ok Mr. Safety man 🫡
you loaded like that because somewhere sometime you were taught that that's the correct way. you want to put the load over the axles first to make sure that the weight is over the axles. If there is access or more stuff to fill in the truck, that can go towards the front or towards the actual tractor. I realize you know exactly what you're doing!!👍🏻👍🏻😂. I was just taught that little tip the other day so it's fresh in my mind. as opposed to the center of gravity of a trailer, when loading the dump truck or any type of long semi you want to make sure that you start with the load over the axles.
Oh! Thanks for the tip!!
I can second this. 1st load should always be over the axle second should be towards the cab, then if more is needed should repeat to level
Amazing job soo jealous
This is my job I run a Volvo L220E.
You must love it! I know I do!
both beautiful machines!
I feel like I’m watching dirty jobs😂
I feel like I wash the clothes from dirty jobs on he daily lol
What about the fly ash?
not sure about that - I would have to ask Ryan lol
Hi man
I have experience in this field and I'm from Algeria... Is there any chance to have a work contract online... In order to get a visa?
Im not sure, you would have to check with the visa office to see what the limitations would be
How are you guys doing
Lol, he said “get hard”
Does it have a cupholder? I don't want the job if there's no cupholder?
It does!
Awesome video. Very interested in knowing if your hiring for this loader position. I have a application in with the hiring manager. I have lots of experience running large loaders. Feeding concrete plants, wash plants, screening plants, stockpiling materials, loading trucks. Please reach out to me if this may be available. Thank you
Just filled the position 2 weeks ago sorry
@@RyanandPam oh no. I’ve had a application in forever. Damn. There’s still a position listed for heavy equipment operator Thompson ohio. Is that the same position that was filled
@@RyanandPam I have been checking out your website a lot and your site itself. Need work and have experience like mentioned with the plants and loader. Keep me in mind please
You mean you have access to these and you just scrapped the cobalt. You could of did so much more with it lol
I think those vids are spent. People hated those videos 😂
Guess you'll just have to get a truck and see how "durable" it is lol
I would crash it
When are we going to see the new baby?
Not sure. Eventually
You guys must have your aggregates hauled in? Otherwise I can see a lot of safety violations MSHA would give you
Cement plant falls under OSHA
@@RyanandPam looks like a clean operation. I manage several pits and batch plants in Washington State and used to be a “crusher rat”
That’s awesome!
I'm from India I am wheel Loader Operator I need a jobe please contact me
Harold Frank Alhuirca Rodríguez.
Nice to meet you?
Excellent video. I was married to 2 heavy equipment operators, and my youngest is one in Florida. Lot of folks don’t really know what actually goes on.

Seeing you doing this brings back so much memories. I worked in the concrete business for 15 years as a assistant inspector, for a major business. (Smith-midland company)still in business. Inspect loads, concrete, barriers, you name I did it.no equipment for me. But they do run them too. thank you

My favorite RUclips channel to watch much ❤️❤️ here from New Zealand .. ✌️CRAZY DREAMERS 👌
Hiring for loader operator ?
No sorry
Thanks for sharing your day, enjoyed the video.
Wow! Great video! Love heavy equipment.
So cool!! Thanks
Sand, cement, stone, water and fly ash. This is what we use in the south.
Some plants use fly ash. We only have 1 silo so all we use is cement
@@RyanandPam we use on a average 15% fly ash. But 100% of Portland is the best. ( fly ash brings the operating expenses way down)
