I got this same curt hitch 2 days ago and put it on my tacoma for that reason for towing a trailer level instead of having the ball on the bumper lifting trailer up and having it ride crappy, this curt hitch is made strong and fits good and u can use it for bike rack if u have a camper on your truck and don't want to stuff the bikes in there
