I scored a whopping six points, I’m ready for spring migration!
Maybe watch it a couple more times 🤣
Absolutely killed it. Only missed 32.
🤣
😂😂😂
Great Quiz!
Thanks so much, this guide definitely helped when I identified Yellow Rumped, Black and white, and Chestnut sided warblers in my area of NJ. Thanks so much Badgerland Birding.
That was fun. I got 15 correct.
I think the Yellow Warbler is my favorite song. Only got 3 of 37, so yeah, I need to work on that! Awesome video 👍🏼🐦🤗
Dude LETs GO! Only got 3 ready for this season migration
ADORABLE BIRDS LOVE LISTENING TO THEM DIDN'T DO GOOD IDENTIFYING THEM STILL ENJOYED VIDEO AND LISTENING TO THEIR SONGS
20 points. Many of those I have hardly seen, much less heard. For some reason, listening to recordings and trying to learn them beforehand never sticks with me as well as watching the bird making the noise! But thanks for the quiz and the opportunity to keep trying
So beautiful videos!!! I could watch all day long!!😊
Great video!Perfect timing to get in shape for Spring migration!
It’s so tricky on some of these as they sound so close to the chickadees, blue birds, blue jays and so on. I always enjoy watching your videos as they are full of info. Although I still have not been able to recall the ways to recall bird sounds
It takes a long time! Been doing it for 10 years and I’m still always learning
I got 18 points without pausing it, got to brush up on some though.
Thanks for the video!
25. Not too bad for a Californian, but not great either! I definitely need to study a lot more! Your videos are excellent. Thank you!
25 is solid!
This was FUN & interesting too ! 🐦
Hearing all these songs in one place is reward enough. We are in SW and only have seen a couple of warblers. Thanks. 🙏
Allergies and school tend to keep me inside during the height of local spring migration, so I only got the yellow warbler (they're pretty common when they come through so I've picked up their song) and the prothonotary warbler (which I had to learn when chasing a local rarity spotted near me last year and came in handy since I was only able to hear it).
Got the first one right and was feeling myself. Theeeeeeeeen I proceeded to do very badly 🤣.
Birding will humble you. Just gotten to the point where I can recognize these birds by sight, but of course, differentiating them by sound is the next step.
I'm out of the country so I'm going to miss Spring migration, sadly. Hopefully I'll be back soon to practice.
Love the video.
Great refresher course! This was perfect for showing the warbler with its name as well. Thank you!
Only got 9 right. Have some work to do before migration! Thanks for doing this!
The only one I got there Derek is what i hear in my neighborhood and that is the Orange Crowned Warbler , I'm actually surprised you didn't have the Yellow Breasted Chat , That's one to put in a later tape I love listening to the Yellow Breasted Chat that Bird make's me laugh and I love hearing all the different sounds that they can make .
Love Chats but they’re actually not considered Warblers anymore
Wow, I did horrible! And these are my favorites!!! I only got 11 correct, time to start studying again, thanks so much😊😊😊
This is a great quiz. I am no good at birding by ear!
I got 22, which is good considering we only have 26 common warbler species in my area. Overall, good refresher
AMAZING how so many types sound legitimately like other birds !!! 🐦
For sure!
Perfect timing after my last post from Thailand❗Eastern Warblers were my forte' back in the day. Thought I would do much better...got 17...but have been out of the USA 4 years already and really RUSTY. Great quiz. FUN and brings back years of great spring migration memories at Kennesaw Mountain, GA. Thx❗🍻
Excellent video again, guys! Thanks for posting this as I'll be coming back to this often as a Wisconsin birder!
This is great. Got 9 or 10 I think. Yellow-throated Warblers here sound much different where I live and are hard to distinguish from Louisiana Waterthrush at times
I got 19… i was embarrassed to get some of those ones wrong, but several were different song variations than I’m used to in Northern Alberta and lots just are not in Northern Alberta, so I’d I didn’t do to bad.
Love your videos btw
They are pretty variable!
I did better than expected, 26/37! This was a great way to prepare for spring migration!
Solid!
6 for me! Eesh. :)
Gotta replay it once a day :)
Thank you for another awesome video!
I don't know any of the warblers songs, but I loved all of the sounds. And they are such cute little birds.🙂
Good quiz. Got 25. Forgot some. Several were unusual though, either in tempo or in the song itself.
I got 4, Yellow warbler, Common yellowthroat, cerulean, and ovenbird. I need to work on my calls!
9/37. I don't know Eastern warblers. One of the only ones I got was the Blue-winged Warbler, which I heard in Wisconsin last June. I went there a little late to get a lot of warblers, so I didn't learn them. I have trouble learning bird songs with a recording. It's much easier when you hear them in person.
I managed 25. Definitely a couple song patterns I've never recognized in the field before. Gotta study up on those song variations!
1/37 lets go!
💪
😂
Awesome. Also can use the video as a species ID test by covering up the name on the lower left.
As someone who has never studied warbler calls before, I am very prepared for this quiz
Edit: I got 7 points
i missed 7... the ones i missed are the ones we don't see a lot in East Tennessee accept for the blackburnian, i feel stupid for that one. and another one i missed was the common yellowthroat. not the sound i'm used to from them here. i've never found a golden winged on this side of the mountains, i have to go over the hill to max patch for those. i almost missed that one.
I got most of these, but I will admit I did not get them all. To be fair I live in the middle of a west coast city. Either way, this has inspired me to crack down and actually learn these eastern warblers 🔥
Get em! 💪💪💪
14/37
A whole 8 right. I should have gotten redstart and common yellowthroat, ugh
It’s okay! Just have to rewatch it every day until migration is over lol
Have you guys on the Badgerland birding team seen the Kirtland's warbler in person? if so is there a video of this?
We have and filmed it but haven’t finished the video yet
Not as good as I thought I was gonna do - 8. Got a month or so to put in the work. I was listening to a recent podcast where you guys talked about using Discord for birding. I have downloaded the app but have no idea how to use it. Can you do a video or a part of a podcast giving some tips or how-tos with Discord for birding?
Oh man, I bombed. Sight yes, sound no.
23/37, but there were at least a few very faint or weak songs in there, I would have got with a better recording 😉. And the redstart and yellowthroat sounded NOTHING like the ones I'm familiar with! Still a nice tune up before they start to arrive...
Songs are gonna be faint out in the field 😉
21, real rusty
When ya doing a parrot video??
Parrot calls?
Ok, so I've watched the entire thing, and I can say with confidence that I've never identified an Eastern Warbler. I guess I don't live in their preferred area?
Where are you located? I bet they’ve been there but maybe you’ve just never kept an ear/eye out for them :)
I live in the Mid Atlantic region, in the southeast corner of PA. I even watched to see if I did recognize a bird that I didn't know was a warbler, but no such luck. Guess I need to get out more 🤭
